I could have danced all night, and still have begged for moreI could have spread my wings, and done a thousand things I've never done before - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Gabi had had a marvelous time getting ready for the new years eve party. All of her friends – and there were many – would be there and therefore she was looking very much forward to the party. Her parents had invited her home too, but she had figured that seeing them Christmas eve was quite enough for now. She had dressed up in a very short, black dress that showed a lot of her toned body, and she had let her blue hair fall down loosely as to not look too fancy, since fancy was not exactly her style. She had put on a lot of colorful necklace and a few feathery earrings and the finish of it all: A pair of red louboutin shoes that she adored a lot.
As she paced the floor in the party halls, her dark brown eyes was glancing around – watching every single face in order to find the ones known and the ones to get to know. She recognized quite a few and greeted them with one of her characteristic, pearly white smiles and a quickly risen hand in the air. None of them was of great interest for the bluehead so she continued her way towards the bar. She had in mind to be completely and utterly drunk tonight, since she had no pranks planned tonight. Jack and her usually had a few things up their sleeves to make the Balstons feel miserable, but not tonight. It was odd, but the night was probably going to be a good one anyway.

The out-of-place feeling Zach had had, when he first arrived at the school, had disap- peared as soon as he set foot in the party halls. His hair was pushed up in a shaggy way, that always made him look a little younger than he was - a good thing, now that he was older than most in this place. He was wearing a slim-fit black button-down shirt over a pair of worn-out jeans from Leevis. His first day had went pretty well, most people seemed nice, and he had gotten a lot of looks from especially the opposite sex. He'd always enjoyed the attention he got from the ladies, and it had definetly giving him more confidence. He felt comfortable with their eyes on him, as he leaned over the bar, asking for a few Crocodile-shots. He loved alcohol, and he'd been wondering if they were serving anything, since a lot of people were younger than 21. He did have to show his ID, but he got his alcohol alright. Someone next to him elbowed him in the side, getting his attention. A girl, few years younger than him, wan- ted to klink glasses. ,, Cheers," he said, before pouring the entire shot down with no probelm. He liked Crocodiles; not as bitter as vodka, but with the same effect. The girl kept craving his attention, asking him questions about wether he was new and where he'd been hiding this entire time. I could have danced all night, and still have begged for moreI could have spread my wings, and done a thousand things I've never done before - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Gabi was almost dancing with enthusiasm, when she got all the way up to the bar and asked the bartender for a drink of any kind. She didn't even have to show ID – she was famous around these edges.. At the parties at least. No one didn't know who this blue haired girl was. She did a lot to keep her name known by the most and since she was one of the most social people you could possibly meet, she obviously met most people worth knowing and most importantly: The people worth partying with. After all, Gabi's life was all about ruling the college and having a hell of a good time doing it, since you don't ever get that chance again. It was funny to see her run around campus actually; you'd see people from every single group greet her with smiles. She was genuinely and generally well liked by most of the other students around campus – given that her social contact to other people did not only contain talking to cheerleaders and jocks, but also the other athletes, the geeks, the alternatives and the usual party crew of hers – all people with strong personalities and an ability to lead.
As she placed herself on one of the chairs in the bar, she turned to watch the people surrounding it. Most of the faces were familiar to Gabi, but one was a stranger. And he looked a little older than the usual people at the colleges. For a moment she wondered, if he had sneaked in, even though he wasn't exactly college student. That thought made him interesting. She wasn't about to go and ask him because that would ruin her sight on him. He could be good for one night and then she would never have to see him again, because he wasn't a college student. Or so she thought. She got up on her feet and walked over to them with a drink in hand and she placed a hand on the shoulder of freshie girl that sat beside him. ”I think he's too old for you, darling.” she said with a little glimpse in her eyes, but given the rank she had over a little freshman, the girl got up and left. She sat down. ”Gabrielle. Just call me Gabi.” she presented herself with a nod, as she reached out her hand for him to take.

The girl had told him her name, but he'd already forgotten what it was. She was going on and on about how she could show him around, let him know who all the 'cool kids' were. He didn't really care much for that kind of talk - he would decide himself, who was cool and who wasn't worth wasting his time on. He ignored the girl, asking for a Zombie - right now, it seemed like it was gonna be a very long night. He didn't know anyone, but that had never kept him from having a good time before - he just had to keep the alcohol coming, and find someone who liked partying as much as he did. When someone commented on Zach's age, and made the girl who'd been bothering him leave, he turned his head and faced the person who'd done just that. He watched her curiously, as she sat down next to him. She had a very pretty face, but there was something about her hair, that he found a little weird - it was blue. He raised one eyebrow, when she presented herself as Gabi, having to restrain himself so he wouldn't comment on her hair, before they'd even exchanged names. ,, Zachary. Call me Zach. Please do." He laughed, rolling his eyes - the only time anyone called him Zachary, was if he was in big trouble, so he kind of saw it like a bad thing. He ran a hand through his hair as a reflex, still trying to shut himself up about her hair. He wasn't exactly good at keeping his mouth shut, when he had to, so it came out anyways: ,, Was that a home-colering gone wrong or did you just decide that you wanted to change your looks?" It would probably sound both rude and maybe a little cruel, but the smile on his lips made it obvious that he meant no harm with his words. He bit his lip, before taking a sip of his Zombie - an exautic drink that tasted a lot like pineapple. ,, That was rude, by the way." He nodded in the direction of the girl whom she'd just shunned from the bar - she was watching them from a distance with a disappointed look on her face. He wasn't really trying to make her feel bad about what she'd just done, he was just pointing it out. He could've done the same thing himself. ,, So, what brings you here?" He asked, his tone making it clear, that it didn't bother him or make him happy. He was just asking.

I could have danced all night, and still have begged for moreI could have spread my wings, and done a thousand things I've never done before - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Gabi was looking at this newcomer with a slight interest in her dark eyes as she placed herself in the seat next to him and took a moment's break by sipping some of her drink and thereby giving him some time to present himself as Zach and nothing more than that. She placed the red silo cup on the table and turned more towards him, but still not completely as to seem a little more reluctant than what the actual case with her. ”It is nice to meet you Zach. Are you from around here? Haven't noticed you around here before,” she started and a slightly teasing glimpse were to be found in her eyes, as she locked gazes with him once again. She tilted her head a little to the side before continuing: ”and I'm pretty sure someone like you would not miss my attention.” she stated and winked once. He was handsome, no doubt. In her mind, Gabi was conspiring seducing him and bringing him home to the dorm for the night. She wanted to learn just a little bit more about him before that of course, but the idea rested in the back of her head and stayed there for the rest of their conversation. She allowed herself to laugh a little at his comment and she shrugged smilingly as a quick reply to the question while she drank the last fluid left in the cup and then asked for another by the bartender. Then the real answer came. ”I like being different, so I figured blue hair was a nice way to stand out. So pretty much decided. Is that a problem for you?” she asked him teasingly warning with an arched eyebrow and a raised finger in the air. The expression in her face however made it perfectly clear that she was only joking with him and he should not take it too seriously. If you knew Gabi even a little bit, you were aware of the fact that nothing was supposed to be taken too seriously. She just wasn't the kind of girl for that sort of behavior. Her life revolved around having a hell of a lot of fun and then becoming serious later on. There was goals she wanted to achieve of course and those she spent much time working her way to, but for the rest of the time, she just did what pleased her. ”I am aware of that. She might as well get used to it, since we have a hierarchy around this place and she's in the bottom of it.” she said with a glimpse in her eyes. She did not take it offensively that he said she was rude. She stood by the things she did and then people could decide to deal with it or not talk to her. Most of the time they dealt with it, because becoming an enemy of Gabi wasn't too smart. Either you could be secluded from many of the different societies in school or become the victim of one of the famous pranks. She looked in the direction of the freshman and she waved at the girl a little cocky before laughing cheerfully, when the girl got up and gave up. ”What do one do at a party?” she asked rhetorically to his question before saying: ”Drinking, dancing, being social and you seemed interesting, hence my talking to you.”.

Zach watched her curiously, as she spoke. She wasn't really the type of girl he would choose as a friend, but he needed friends and he had decided not to judge before he'd even spoken to the person. He bit his lip, and watch the girl with the beautiful name - Gabi. ,, Not really. I just moved in yesterday." He told her in a low voice. He hated being "the new kid", because even though it was a fresh start and everything, he wouldn't have the reputation as a cool kid, so if he did something stupid, it would've changed in no time. ,, Is it that obvious?" He then laughed, shaking his head in disbelief. He wouldn't have thought it possible to look like a new kid in a bar, since he always felt at home in that scene. But yet again, he knew he wasn't one to be overlooked, so when she alluded to him being handsome, he just smiled and everything made sence in his head again. ,, Me too." He smiled, thinking about how hard it would be not to notice the pretty girl with the tiny body - not to mention her blue hair. He didn't really flirt back at first, he would have to make up his mind about whether she was his type or not... Nah, who was he kidding, everyone was his type. He finished his drink, and pushed the now empty glass towards the bartender, almost at the same time as she did. ,, Rum and coke, make it half-half." He didn't take his eyes away from Gabi, as he ordered his new drink. Because of his size, half-half didn't affect him as much as it would affect someone smaller, but he wanted to get drunk - have fun, loose all inhibitions and, hell, if he found a nice girl, maybe get laid. ,, Makes sence. But why blue?" He tilted his head to the side, resting his elbow on the bar, and his chin on his hand. His eyes were glued to hers in a challenging way, wanting her to feel a little shy. ,, No, not at all. I like girls who know what they want." He winked at her, now that he was sure she was flirting, it couldn't hurt flirting back. He liked to flirt, even though it didn't lead to anything, just as he enjoyed kissing with no goal. Just kissing could be nice, though he saved his love for a possible future girlfriend. He laughed at her raised finger, shaking his head over her sillyness. He liked acting silly and childish too, so it absolutely didn't bother him. He raised an eyebrow at her, when she claimed the girl could get used to it. Even though he'd always been at the top of the "foodchain", he almost always treated the people around him with some respect. He didn't enjoy to make people feel bad. Her words had made him a little thoughtfull about whether she was something for him or not. He grabbed his drink as soon as it was ready, and took a long sip. He'd never liked the taste of rum or vodka, but he enjoyed the effect it had on him. ,, And you're at the top?" He finally asked, avoiding her gaze for a few seconds, till she spoke again. ,, I meant right here. Like, next to me." He couldn't help but be a little curious about why she would throw someone away just to talk to him - maybe it wasn't just because of his good looks. ,, Oh." He smiled, when she kind of answered his question. ,, Interesting in what way?" He asked, the challenging look returning to his eyes. He liked getting compliments, even though he'd heard everything that was to hear more than a thousand times. ,, So, what are you drinking?" He nodded towards her glass. He didn't really care much for what she was drinking, but he knew what girls were drinking had a lot to do with their personalities. He never touched a girl drinking a Cosmo Pollitan.

I could have danced all night, and still have begged for moreI could have spread my wings, and done a thousand things I've never done before - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Gabi nodded a little thoughtful to his reply that was all low and kind of careful. She had noticed that with a lot of the new students: That they were feeling embarrassed by being the new kids and such. She did not understand it, as most people were accepted by their own year in a short time. Well, if you weren't one of those kids that didn't talk to anyone or one of the freaks, that is. They usually missed out on the opportunity to become an accepted part of the college. Gabi herself had almost immediately taken the part as the leader of her year – freshman, sophomore and now junior year. She planned on keeping that position throughout this year and the senior year. She was highly active on the school magazine, the counsel, helped out with the freshmen the first week of every year, was on the girl's lacrosse and baseball team. In the end, the day did not have enough hours, but Gabi had an energy that made her able to do all this and still do alright in school. ”Yeah, I guess, I'm pretty easy to spot in a crowd.” she laughed amused and shook her head. You would never ever be in doubt about Gabi's presence. Her strong color seemed to jump right into people's gazes. She of course did not mind the attention, otherwise she wouldn't have dyed her hair in this color. Her place was in the spotlight and it was going to be for the rest of her time alive. She had big dreams of opening a shop and get that one going and maybe then expand the business. Her mind was set on this and she was surely going to fight for her goals. She noticed his choice of drink and raised one eyebrow, before stretching out the long legs underneath her skinny body, and keeping her gaze in his direction. He was testing her with that gaze, she was sure about that. Lucky for her, she was never shy. She didn't hesitate when challenged into something reckless and she didn't regret the things she did. They were all a part of the experience called life! ”That's an easy question to answer!” she said as another smile embraced her lips. ”Blue is my favorite color of all time. But I'm going to be honest with you.. I've had it platinum blond, black, pink and brown too, so it's not like I drastically decided to become a blue head. Just wanted to try it on and to my joy, the color suited me.” she told him with a half charming tone in her voice. A chuckle left her lips and she leaned her head to the side, while regarding him carefully with that flirtatious glimpse in her dark eyes. ”I imagine. It's much more fun to know exactly what you want.” she stated, while discretely stroking her hand over his upper arm and then leaning back into her own chair as if she had done absolutely nothing. And what she had done had been nothing really. She just felt like touching – she often did when she had been drinking, and it did not matter much if it way boy or girl. She never slept with girls at all, but touching wasn't something she was shy about doing. It was all part of good fun. She wrinkled her nose slightly at the face he did when he was being told about the hierarchy in the schools. ”Not yet, no. I'm sharing the top of the juniors right now – and thereby also on top of the sophomores and the freshmen. Still have the seniors left to conquer.” she replied teasingly and nodded once, firmly. She gazed back at him when he asked her, why she found him interesting. She looked thoughtful for a while before lighting up in a wide grin. ”You're very handsome. And you're new. That's two pretty good things in my eyes.” she said and winked at him. ”Did I say that you're hot?” she asked, still teasingly and she laughed a little. She was not one to shut up about those things. Most people learned to cope with her honesty in time, but it could seem a little frightening on strangers. ”Tequila Sunrise” she replied and lifted her glass into the air. It was a lovely festive drink and she enjoyed that a lot.

Zach laughed under his breath, before taking yet another sip of his drink. He wanted to get drunk, but half-half was as much alcohol as he would have in a drink - he didn't like the taste of it, so it'd be unbearable with more. ,, You don't need blue hair to stand out." He commented, smiling his cute, innocent smile. Oh, how that smile had mislead loads of women. He didn't know which color was his favorite, really... It would depend on what it was for - he preffered blue eyes, white shirts but dark jeans, blonde hair, dark paintings, white houses. He didn't really comment on it, since he honestly didn't know what to say. ,, Do you have a picture from when you were blond?" He asked her, his charming smile even more outstanding han usual, now that she had awoken his attention a little more. He liked the blonds a lot better, for some reason - maybe it was because they were known to be stupid and often a little easy. He knew it wasn't true, but he somehow prefered it. For a second his mind went back to when Caydee had died her hair brown for a while, and it made him lose the smile very quickly. He bit his lip, as she stroke his arm. It did take his mind off Caydee, but it didn't come as a surprise. He didn't say anything, but as a reply, his hand discretely found it's way to her theigh right above her knee. When she claimed she was close to being "on top" of the entire school, he just laughed - it wasn't really intended to sound cruel, but it did sound a little hostile. He hated those rankings like someone in the buttom would do, even though he'd always been on top. He didn't think it was fair, 'cause one bad episode was all that was needed for a bad reputation. He lightened up a bit, when she told him he was handsome. He knew that, but he loved to hear it. Over and over again. He turned towards her on his chair, tilting his head to the side, a curious look in his beautiful, ocean-blue eyes. ,, Why thank you. You're a pretty girl yourself, but of course I don't have to tell you that." He winked at her, even though it was kind of a lame comment. He'd just arrived, he wasn't busy getting out quickly - or maybe he should just get out now, and then come back and party later, before it was all over? He thought about it for a moment, his eyes still resting on her beautiful face. Both would work for him. He looked at her drink - as far as he knew, Sunrise-girls were okay. Not crazy like the Cosmos.
