So raise your glass if you are wrongIn all the right ways - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - The party was well going when Emi left a group of new people she had been talking to for a little while since it seemed impossible to find any of her close friends to talk to. She wasn't afraid to talk to strangers when that happened, but she had come in the first place in order to get a little talk with some of her friends. Preferably many of them. Oh, and then the party was a mix of Balstons and Luxfords so she was hoping to catch Jordan somewhere and kick his ass since he had not been contacting her at all. He had just left without a single word and that had caught Emi a little insulted and childishly mad at him. She hated when she lost sight of some of her friends and they were impossible to get in touch with. It made her feel restless and worried.. and well, mad. As she moved through the room her eyes were skimming the face in the room, still with no luck at all. Had everybody decided to stay at home? With a discrete sigh, she went up to the bar where she got herself one of those red cups with a drink called 'screw driver' or something in it and she took a little sip, as she finally just kept her gaze in the direction of the dancefloor. She wanted to dance with them all but didn't seem to be in the mood for just that with everyone she knew disappeared.
It had been taking a couple of hours for Emi to get the look she had tonight. She was dressed in a long black dress with a high slit in the side and bare back. Her feet were dressed in black stilettos that she had taught herself to walk in for the occasion and so far she was doing just fine. Around her neck and wrist were matching jewelery – simple silver with stones – nothing too big but not all discrete either. Her red locks of hair was piled up on her head elegantly with a few locks falling down to frame her face still. The make up was even done with a elegant touch. There wasn't too much around the eyes since her painted red lips were in focus instead. Sitting in the bar she felt sad that she had taken so much time to get ready when there was no one of the ones she wanted to see her around. She felt it a bit like a big waste of time and that made her sad – therefore she drank the alcohol in the cup fast and asked for another drink.

WITH M Y FATE, MY THOUGHTS ERASE MY HEADS A BLUR, THE PICTURE FADES
• • • • • • • • • The Hazel eyed boy flicked his gaze across the sea of people, a small smile tugging on his lips at the familiar site. It had been awhile, no, too long since he had last been to such a social event that brought both Luxford and Balston students together. Sure there had probably been a few good keggers between his departure and return, but no doubt this was probably the best of the year, well so far anyway. After all this was a new year’s bash that was sure to prove to be somewhat entertaining as he could all ready see a few familiar faces, reddening from a night of drinks among other things; which he was about to dive into. Jordan moved through the crowd with ease, stopping every so often to catch up with a few of his friends that were questioning where he had disappeared to. With a coy smile and a shrug of his shoulders he avoided their questions with ease, promising to catch up soon before slipping through the crowd. It was his first night back in town and he was not about to ruin the night by dredging up his not so distant past, no that could wait.
For now his prime directive was to get a drink from the bar and just relax, he felt entitled after his little absence. With his sights set on the bar he danced his way across the floor, a refreshing happiness beginning to bubble up from the pit of his stomach; yes tonight was going to be a good night. Just upon breaking the threshold of where the dance floor ended to meet the slightly raised floor of the bar area Jordans eyes fell on a beautifully made up Emi. His heart swelled at the site of her: from her stilettos, to the little black dress, right up to the elegantly styled hair. He hesitated for a moment, not sure if he should turn back now and wait until he had at least had a good night’s sleep or make himself known to her now. He knew that he was in for a shit kicking, maybe not literally but probably verbally. Jordan had up and left without a word to anyone, not that he really owed anyone an explanation, except for maybe Emi. Right before he was about to turn and walk away his interest was piqued, she downed her alcohol and then quickly asked for another. “Gonna save any alcohol for the rest of us?” he asked playfully while sliding into the seat beside Emi, a small smile pulling at his lips.

So raise your glass if you are wrongIn all the right ways - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - A song that Emi particularly liked sounded throughout the room which made her mood slightly better but still not too good. It was rare to see her like this; feeling sad and disappointed, angry even. She had a temper, there was no doubt about that, but she rarely let it run off like that with her. Tonight she did. She was sitting here feeling everything boil up underneath the surface and she could not save herself. However, all she felt was founded in one simple but yet complicated feeling: Fear. She was afraid that the ones she liked were avoiding her for reasons she did not know. Afraid that more people she loved like Jordan had gone away and did not want to talk to her. Especially this thing with Jordan had her going down. She was extremely dependent on the people she trusted – a character trait well known for someone, who grew up in circus – and when they turned their back on her, she didn't know what to do.. And she really did think that she had scared Jordan off and he didn't want to see her ever again, and she didn't know what to do about that. She felt so restless and so broken about this and the wound felt worse and worse for every day that went by without anything to convince her otherwise.
But here he was. The boy who occupied her mind – as if he could hear her think that she missed him and therefore stepped right into the light. For a second she seemed to light up completely by the sight of the tall, skinny boy that was smiling at her and placing himself in the seat next to her as if they hadn't been out of contact for quite some time. She wanted to jump to her feet and hug him immediately, but still, her anger kept her back, so her expressions changed. Her eyes turned completely neutral and she stopped herself from smiling, straightened her back and looked shortly at him before turning her gaze down to the drink that she also downed in a matter of seconds just to be provoking. ”I do as I please.” she firmly stated, but then she couldn't manage staying neutral, so she pointed one finger at him and demanded to know: ”Where the hell have you been!? Why didn't you call me to say you were gone?” the was a slight wrinkle to spot on her nose as she asked him this, attempting to hold back the anger but not succeeding completely. She crossed her arms over her chest as she frowned at him. ”Didn't you have as much as 2 minutes to call me and say that you wouldn't be here for a while so I wouldn't have to worry too much and fear that you didn't want to see me at all??” as she continued her speech the voice became more angry but also with that very wounded tone hidden somewhere underneath.

WITH M Y FATE, MY THOUGHTS ERASE MY HEADS A BLUR, THE PICTURE FADES
• • • • • • • • • The tattooed boy released a breath that he didn't realize he'd been holding as Emi regarded him cheerfully; as he was accustomed to. However the relief that was expelled with the breath ended abruptly as Emi's face fell. Instantly he longed to see her painted lips curve into that special smile that was normally reserved for him. Instead he was receiving a carefully neutral expression that caused his smile to be replaced with a frown as he shifted uneasily in his seat. He had not really expected for Emi to welcome him with open arms, smiles and cheery words of greeting-no he had expected something with a little more attitude. Much like how she was reacting now, downing the drink and spitting words that sounded slightly biting, almost baiting him to make a smartass comment. He opened his mouth to try and ease the tension that was building between the two but abruptly snapped it shut as she pointed an accusing finger at him. He sighed in audibly, he knew that her previous delight in seeing him was not going to last, this angry more accusatory Emi had been simmering right below the surface; just waiting to strike.
Jordan regarded her carefully, his tired eyes flicking over her face trying to read more into what she was saying. Obviously there was anger, the most prominently displayed. Hidden beneath the anger there seemed to be disappointment twined with a deep hurt. His gaze drifted out towards the crowd, flitting briefly across before returning back to Emi as he tried to sort out the barrage of feelings and thoughts. Jordan scrubbed his hand over his face, wiping off any trace of vivaciousness that was previously there. Shifting in his seat again, he casted his face in a bright line of light for the briefest moment, highlighting the insomnia that stained his eyelids like soot. His absence had worn him down emotionally and physically but he had managed to psych himself up enough to attend this party- or so he thought. He hadn't expect Emi's attack to drain the energy out of him, leaving him lethargic and agitated. Jordan had wanted to post-pone this conversation until he had gotten a well needed-no deserved nights sleep so that he could at least show some emotion other than fatigue; preferably his upmost, sincere remorse. Unfortunately, he made the mistake of assuming his newly presence would be enough to put any of her worries or anger aside-for now. "Emi-" he paused rolling the words around his tongue, trying to find the correct words. " I know that my apology might not be worth much, but I'm really sorry that I just up and left without so much as a word to anyone, especially you." he explained, his gaze locking onto hers. "and I know that you most definitely deserved a phone call from me, it's just that-" he stopped mid sentence, not really prepared to get into why he was away. " my absence really kept my attention away from Outlier." he continued, skirting around the issue. " but that doesn't matter, I'm here now and apologizing to the best of my ability, so let by-gone be by-gones?"he asked hopefully, his face lighting up into an easy grin, though it didn't quite reach his eyes.

So raise your glass if you are wrongIn all the right ways - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - As Jordan carefully regarded the temperamental redhead and probably noticed the hurt behind the words and the emotions expressed, which she did not want him to, she kept on seeming very angry with what he had done. She could rightfully be angry at him, but it was not what played the biggest role in her inner at all. She was more hurt and afraid than actually angry, but she was aware that he would feel very bad if he actually knew that he had hurt her and not just made her a little angry – and she didn't want him to feel bad. It wasn't in her character to do such, so she played it angry and insulted instead of what was really going on, praising her skills with acting so it would seem convincing. She didn't look much at him at all, but kept her gaze on areas away from his gorgeous hazel eyes; for example her drink or the wall behind the boy. She was careful as to not catch his eyes, since she was pretty sure that she would be busted then. She wrapped her arms around herself even to keep calm and not let feeling run away with her. To be perfectly honest, she had missed him a lot and everything had seemed dull and gray for the amount of time he had been gone. Of course she had had the good friends to keep her sane and happy in the moments they spend together with her but there was something missing in the picture. Although he would never know, he had helped her from many of the lonely moments that she had feared and still feared. Until he left that is.
She finally turned to watch him carefully and look into his eyes, when he spoke her name and explained himself as he was supposed to. He wasn't answering her question and she wanted for a second to ask once again, where he had been, but she managed to keep herself back as he kept on talking – obviously avoiding the subject. She knew him well enough to know that she shouldn't dig into anything he didn't want to talk about. He'd tell her whenever he felt ready for it, she was sure of that. When he finished talking and half smiled at her, she took thirty seconds or so to think it all through, while running a hand through the red locks of hair and gazing elsewhere. Finally, her big honey brown bambi eyes fixated on his again and yet another few seconds went along before she got on her feet and wrapped her arms around him and leaned her face in against his chest – softly inhaling the sweet scent of his. She stood there holding him tightly and hiding away her face as she shut her eyes for a moment. ”You had me all scared, Jordan. Don't you ever do that again.!” she mumbled firmly still hiding away her face as she was trying to get herself under control. ”I was really starting to believe that you had run off and didn't want to see me anymore...” she explained, and she finally let go of him again and looked up at him, while quickly correcting red strands of hair. She gently poked his nose as one of her characteristic smiles finally caught her lips and a teasing glimpse for the first time tonight showed itself in her big intelligent eyes. ”You're lucky, I'm not able to be mad for too long. You've been an unfair ass, but I've missed you a lot.” she stated with a nod and her head tilted slightly to the side. Now that she let herself be happy, he was lovely to see. She still felt a bit reluctant around him, but hopefully it would be better now.
When she noticed the black circles around his eyes, she raised a hand and softly stroked one of his eyelids with a thumb and thereafter letting her fingers trace his jawbone. ”You look terribly tired.. Should you not be in bed instead of a party?” she asked him with her head to the side and two expressions to read in her eyes: Soft worry and a little tease. It was a lighter way of seeming worried about him.

WITH M Y FATE, MY THOUGHTS ERASE MY HEADS A BLUR, THE PICTURE FADES
• • • • • • • • • Jordans mouth twisted into a frown, a sharp contrast to the beaming grin that he usually wore, he was a little upset that Emi was so mad with him; not that she did not have a right to be. In all fairness he deserved for her to yell at him a little more, or perhaps stalk off into the crowd in a huff because he had failed to tell her where he was going. Though of course Emi merely shifted in her seat and refused to meet his eyes, giving off an indignant vibe that washed over him in waves. Jordan flicked his gaze from the girl to the barkeep, signaling for a beer before he returned his wandering eyes back to the redhead; she was still avoiding his eye. The boy nodded a silent thanks as his beer was placed in front of him before picking it up and brining the cup to his lips taking a long drink; he was going to need a little liquid courage if he was going to get through this conversation. That however, was not the most troubling feeling nagging at him, no, it was the fact that Emi did not want to look him in the eyes. Usually the two of them had great eye contact, except when one was trying to keep something from the other. He took another sip of his beverage as he mulled over the thought of her trying to keep something from him, he sincerely doubted it. Emi was usually very up front with him, not afraid to share anything, usually sharing everything with him. It was he who usually tended to avoid her gaze if he was steering clear of a subject, so he chalked it all up to her just being angry with him.
The brunette raked his hand through his hair with his free hand after his less than adequate explanation of his absence; he did not suspect that she would let it go so easily, perhaps there would be more questions. He raised his cup to his mouth again, drinking the liquid back like it was water and he was dying of thirst; at the moment he needed a distraction from the thoughtful gaze that had taken over Emis face. Jordan set his cup down in surprise as he felt her arms warp around him in a hug, after a few seconds of hesitation he gladly wrapped his arms around her. Though not the reaction that he was expecting he was glad for the one he received, bring a genuine smile to his face before he kissed the top of her head. He squeezed her lightly as she reprimanded him for scaring her, “I won’t, I promise.” He spoke softly, making a silent pledge to himself to try his hardest to keep this promise. Jordan always attempted to be a man of his word, especially when he promised things to the important people in his life. His hazel gaze softened as she spoke a second time, her words playing greatly on his conscious. “Don’t be so silly Emi, I will always want to see you.” He stated while smiling lightly, “especially when I’m away from you, I could hardly bear it while I was gone.” He added before she poked him in the nose, eliciting a small chuckle. “I missed you too and I guess I’m glad that I am friends with the most beautiful, forgiving girl in the entire world then.” He said with a sly grin and a playful wink, hoping that the rest of the tension would dissolve as they both loosened up.
Jordans eyes fluttered closed as she gently traced the outline of his features before he took her hand in his and moved her hands to his lips and kissed her palm in an intimate, loving gesture. Perhaps the most loving gesture he had ever offered her, in return for all her kindness and understanding. He opened his eyes slowly, meeting tired but happy hazel with worry laced with teasing brown eyes before he intertwined their fingers. “And miss the chance to dance the night away with you?” he questioned before standing up and pulling her along to the dance floor, “I think not.” He finished with a grin and a renewed pep in his step. Maybe the night wasn’t going to be so bad after all, but he didn’t quite think he was off the hook.

So raise your glass if you are wrongIn all the right ways - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - She had no doubt in her mind about that she was going to forgive him in time. As it still was a fresh wound mending, she could not be expected to be completely forgiving in that moment, when she hugged him, but she finally let the case rest and heal itself gradually. She could talk to him later, when he wanted to, and then find out where he had gone and what had happened. He didn't seem to be entirely okay – judged by the way he looked, but it could be a reaction to her moment of rage, so she decided to wait it of and try to bring up the subject again later to see, what he had been hiding from her. She was worried and a little curious about it and Jordan probably already knew that she wasn't going to let him shut up about it for too long. She eventually would get her way and know. The only thing holding her back was patience and the fact that she did not want to make him uncomfortable. She hated doing that to other people – especially Jordan. ”Keep that promise or I will literally kick your ass.. Or ask my servants to do so. Princesses shouldn't get their hands – and feet – dirty.” she stated both seriously and with a glimpse in her eyes as she played her favorite role as princess. She winked gently at him, letting a tiny giggle sound from her full, red lips. She could only hope that he actually would keep the promise though, as she did not know how she would manage the thought of losing him yet again. ”You know, now that you've been neglecting me for a long while, I'm expecting you to make that up to me and spend extra time with me until that debt is paid.” she told him teasingly with a raised eyebrow and her gaze turned upwards into his beautiful hazel eyes, not fearing the eye contact any longer, since all the hurt was abolished and kept under lock and keep in the deepest corner of her mind. ”You can also make it up to me by giving me massage, sushi and a full weekend of your company. Choose yourself, dear.” she said to him and tickled him in the side. Undoubtedly she enjoyed him being back. ”You GUESS you're glad?” she noticed with an arched eyebrow. ”You better BE glad about it!” she corrected him teasingly of course. It did not matter all the much to her how he said it. Just the fact that he seemed happier was quite enough.
Emi felt her heart fail to beat when he caught her hand and kissed it in a way he never did before. It was so much more intimate and loving than what she was used to around him; it wasn't unusual for them to kiss each other here and there and be a little bit more caring than you'd usually think of a pair of friends, but what he did now had no similarities to the usual. Furthermore he intertwined their fingers too and Emi had to remind herself to breathe every once in a while, so she steadily inhaled and exhaled little amount of air, trying to do it as discretely as possible, and she gently squeezed his hand when they had their hands so closely together. She looked into his eyes – something she also had failed to do for a few moments – and she smiled warmly to him, before also jumping to her feet and grinning with a sweet little voice. ”Ah, I see the problem. Who would not want to dance with me.” she said ironically and rolled her eyes once, as she followed him to the dance floor. ”Silly boy.” she teased him and when they got to the dance floor, she did some of those lovely disco moves laughingly and jokingly, while looking up at him with a glimpse in the big brown eyes. The joke only lasted so long, before she finally danced with him properly. He didn't deserve to become the fool of the party just because he hung out with a crazy Balston.

WITH M Y FATE, MY THOUGHTS ERASE MY HEADS A BLUR, THE PICTURE FADES
• • • • • • • • • Jordan allowed himself a small grateful smile for a moment, completely thankful that Emi had decided to drop the subject of his absence-for now anyway. With the secret of his absence tucked safely away in his memory he was able to let out a small breath, releasing pent up anxieties that seemed to have double from his sites being set on Emi. This is not to say that she was the cause of the anxieties directly, it was more the fact that he just didn’t want to talk about his personal life because that meant being vulnerable and he did not particularly like feeling vulnerable. He much preferred to deal with his own stuff, well on his own. Sure, sometimes he needed to talk to someone and the first person on his list was Emi and probably would be Emi for the rest of the time that he knew her. He trusted her, truly if there was one person that he would trust with his life it would be her, so he knew that she would be able to help get him through his situation so to speak, it was just that he was not eager to open the barely scabbed over wound. The brunette turned his gaze from his drink up to the girl-princess as she spoke, causing a bright grin to turn his lips upwards. “Of course princess Emi, I will keep my promise, I wouldn’t want your servants to over exert themselves by having to kick my ass.” He remarked sarcastically, rolling his eyes playfully. Jordan brought his drink to his mouth taking a lengthy sip before setting it back down, mouth curving into a smile at her next statements. He tapped his chin thoughtfully, as if he was thinking about her suggestions, “how about all of the above?” he offered up with a smile. “Starting tomorrow.” He added thoughtfully. The boy nodded earnestly, “yes SUPER GLAD!” he shouted while raising his arms in the air, drawing a small bit of attention to the duo, which only made him smile.
The brunette boy regarded the girl carefully as he displayed an uncharacteristic intimate affection, trying to figure out what exactly her reaction to it would be. While he was away he had done a little thinking, a little reevaluation of his life and where exactly he wanted it to go. However, before he explicitly spells out exactly what he wants he needs to be sure it is not going to come back and burn him. Judging by the way Emi squeezed his hand and held his gaze he was certain that what he wanted to obtain was in reach, it was just a question of asking for it. He returned the warm smile with one of his own, this time it reached his eyes. Maybe when he had the heart to heart with Emi about his absence he’d be able to get out other secrets that he’d been harboring for a while; until then he would just have to be satisfied with the moment that he was in now. Her disco dancing elicited a chorus of joyful laughter as he watched her be so characteristically her. “I don’t know my dear Emi, after all you are such a beautiful dancer, I can really feel the emotion.” He remarked as she began to dance with him properly. “I think I much preferred the disco dancing.” he joked as he danced with her, fully enjoying the proper dancing that the two were currently engaged in. In a lull of music he spoke, “So, how have you been anyway?” he inquired, interested. He hadn’t really had the chance to ask her how she was doing yet, the conversation immediately jumped to him and why the hell he had essentially abandoned her; which he would answer when it wasn’t in such a public setting.

So raise your glass if you are wrongIn all the right ways - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Emi's voice and facial expressions turned more bubbly and cheerful for every moment spent in the great company she had found. There never seemed to be a dull moment with Jordan. Even when they were only spending the time watching a movie or such, the silence seemed more pleasant than awkward, and they easily picked up on conversation afterwards – just like they right now picked up on their usual way of speaking to each other almost immediately after she had stopped being angry about him leaving. It seemed easier somehow with Jordan. Both easier and a hundred times more complicated too. It was a thing both intriguing and saddening for the redhead, who herself seemed to be about the simplest person on planet earth. She hid a lot of the more complicated things underneath the surface and barely anyone knew, what was going on in there. To everybody else, Emi was just a girl with an unlimited amount of energy and cheery moods and she liked that illusion of her as it made her more safe. With that kind of attitude, no one really seemed to think that they could hurt her, when in fact it took almost nothing to make her feel sad. You just needed to push the right buttons then everything could break inside of her – but even when it did, she managed to laugh, smile and wink at everyone and thereby act like nothing they said or did hurt her. She had not even told Jordan what was going on inside of her. To her, his problems were the most important ones and his feeling the most important to talk about. Not hers. And she was just like that with any other friend. She never wanted to bother them with how she was feeling.
She winked at him when he grinned brightly and played along. ”No, you wouldn't want that. I've upgraded my army since last, y'know. Now they are all ninja warriors and could win any battle against you, dear... Not that I couldn't win that kind of battle myself..” her gaze into his eyes were teasing, challenging and she stuck out her tongue at him. She had never really tried a battle with him before, so she wouldn't know how such a thing would work. She did not have any fighting technique coded in her brain, so even though she had muscle and flexibility among other physical advancements, she wouldn't know how to use them in a fight. It didn't matter anyway though, since she never wanted to fight with Jordan for real. ”Deal!” she said with a firm nod when he accepted all of the solutions. She already looked forward to spending a lot of time with this tall boy. He was almost like a tower whenever she looked up and into his face. ”Sounds like the perfect weekend in my ears.” she added smilingly for it was true words. She fought back a laughter, when he shouted and caught people's attention doing so. ”Sssssh.. You silly, silly boy.” she laughed and grabbed his arms and pulled them down. She shook her head slightly at him and kissed his chin. ”Don't you worry about being seen with a crazy Balstonite?” she asked him teasingly and with a glimpse in her eyes.
Emi didn't know what to do, as her mind wandered off to what he had done again and slowly playing it again and again in her head. Did it really mean something greater than what they had been doing until now, or did her mind just play games with her? Would this little affection change everything? Those were the unsettling questions that were flying around in her head. She had no idea and therefore decided to let it go and think of it later. Maybe everything would just make sense in time. She did not want to abolish the though completely and she did not want to get her hopes up too high. She smiled at him and enjoyed dancing with him every single moment and every song that passed in the background. People were starting to notice the two of them and their playful nature, but also the way Emi was frequently looking up into his hazel eyes – as if he was her greatest hero and idol, and as if the world revolved around him. She grinned widely and childishly when he commented on her very gorgeous disco moves that had caused some smiles among the people dancing around Jordan and Emi. ”No one can match my skill in dancing. That is a fact.” she said, shooting her chest forward and nodding very decisively, before another giggle stopped that and she danced a little closer to him. She stuck out her tongue at him and rolled her eyes. ”I can do more disco dance tomorrow, but I've run a little low on disco-ish music.” she stated with a glimpse in her eyes, as she locked gazes with him again. ”Do you want the honest reply or the lie?” she asked him a little teasingly before shrugging and engaging in the story of her current presence. ”I could've been better. But there has been lots of good things going on. Isaac and Chess got together, Isaac's done with his art show and a big painting of me and so. Lots of things to be grateful for.” she said, not even realizing that she again was talking about other people than herself. ”I've felt terribly lonely though.. Just a little bit.”

WITH M Y FATE, MY THOUGHTS ERASE MY HEADS A BLUR, THE PICTURE FADES
• • • • • • • • • Jordan raised his eyebrows feigning shock at her bold declarations before his lips settled into a childish pout. “Emi, why do you always have to be so mean to me?” he questioned rhetorically. “Threatening to beat me up with ninjas warriors, it hurts my feelings you know.” He lamented while pushing his hand against his chest where his heart was. He playfully stuck his tongue out, reciprocating the silliness radiating from Emi. It was just like before he left, absolutely no tension between them and he was relishing in that fact; even if she was threatening to beat him with ninja warriors. He would gladly take the playful threats over her angry tone and avoiding eyes, it never promised anything good and usually made him feel terrible about the situation; which had certain feelings still currently floating around the back of his mind. Although he was prominently feeling happiness he still could not completely forget the fact that he had hurt Emi and had only kind of made it up to her so far, well enough to get her to at least hold eye contact and act like they were again the bestest friends in the world. The real make it up to Emi would begin tomorrow, probably with breakfast and then if he was feeling up to it he would begin to tell her why exactly he was away. The brunette smiled brilliantly as she accepted his proposal, or rather his acceptance of her original proposal. “awesome, glad you agree.” He said while briefly catching her gaze to show that he was truly glad of her willingness to let things be between them for now. The boy chuckled as she pulled his arms down, shaking his head lightly before sticking his tongue out at her. “Nah bro, you and me, we’re like two peas in a pod.” He stated while crossing his index finger and middle finger to show how close they were.
Though his comment had been slightly teasing to match hers there was a serious undertone that she hopefully picked up on. As of late he’d been doing a little thinking and he figured it was about time to finally grow a pair of balls, as miss rumor so eloquently put it. Though he would not be coming right out and asking her straight up if she wanted to be his girlfriend, well not quite this soon upon his return anyway. Before he did anything that left him emotionally vulnerable he needed to make sure that Emi would reciprocate his feelings, he needed to protect himself just as much as he needed to protect their friendship. After all if she rejected him then he would, without a doubt in his mind avoid her for quite some time until he could be sure that he would be able to lock away the hurt. However, judging by her reaction and how much he knew her Jordan seriously doubted that Emi would turn him down. Even now they practically acted like boyfriend and girlfriend and if Jordan was finally being honest with himself he was tired of hovering on the friendship line. He wanted to move to the not so more ominous next level in their relationship. Unfortunately he did not think with him with holding secrets she’d be so keen to agree, so he was going to have to tell her; he was going to eventually, he just wanted to do it later rather than sooner.
Jordan was pulled from his reverie while Emi began to speak, bragging about her dancing skills, eliciting a small laugh from him. “I don’t know about that, I do a pretty mean running man.” He joked. The boy nodded, feigning thankfulness at her next comment. “Thank goodness, I would hate to never see your disco dancing again.” He teased while meeting her eyes; he had to admit he missed the playful glint that always seemed to be brightening her beautiful brown eyes. At her next question Jordan shrugged his shoulders halfheartedly, suspecting that it was merely rhetorical. Jordan nodded intently, genuinely interested in what she was saying, not that he really knew much about who she was talking about. Though they had a few of the same friends, they also had completely separate friends and he honestly couldn’t say he had much face time with either Chess or Isaac. A brief flash of jealously flashed across his face, he was not to keen on the idea of Emi spending time with Isaac, though he wasn’t about to forbid her from seeing him, that would be unnecessary; he was pretty sure he knew where Emi was standing on the relationship front. At her final comment he brought his hand up to her face, cupping it before kissing her on the forehead, “I’m sorry.” He said softly, before a cheeky grin turned his lips up. “We’re going to be so busy that you won’t have time to feel lonely.” He finished with a wink.

So raise your glass if you are wrongIn all the right ways - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Emi bubbled and giggled by the happiness of having her best friend back and being able to joke around with him just as they used to, even though he had only just come back, and she had been so mad at him for leaving. Well, kind of mad. More afraid than that, but he believed that she was mad, so she kept it at that. There was something completely special about the two of them, as it had been pointed out quite a lot of times. They would be the perfect couple had it not been for the issues, Jordan had, and Emi's fear of ruining everything by bursting out her honest feelings for the gorgeous boy standing in front of her. He was her childish friend, her very best friend and their friendship was not something, she was willing to ruin just for the sake of telling him, how deeply she had loved him ever since the summer they had met.. That the amount of time from their first talk the day she admitted to herself that she was head over heels for him had been no more than two weeks.. She was so afraid that admitting to these things would mean the end of a beautiful friendship and she would not be able to move on easily after that. She would rather move away or die than to know that Jordan was inside her reach but she couldn't grasp him because he hated her for telling how she felt. She wanted to be entirely sure that Jordan wanted to be hers completely. That meant showing affection and showing that he wanted her more than all of the other girls, whom he had slept with during the time Emi and him had been friends. She had waited patiently for the day when he'd realize that the two of them were a match make in heaven and that he'd then stop sleeping around and instead show her that she was the girl he wanted. How many times had she not thought of how it would be like to be Jordan's girlfriend, and if he'd be able to stay faithful throughout a real relationship.
”Someone it supposed to keep you in check. It might as well be me. I only do it, so you can be a better person.” she spoke with a very philosophic and deep tone of voice. The teasing glimpse that rested in her eyes however made it less serious. She would never be mean to him intentionally. Of course she could not guarantee that she would never say something that might hurt him for real, as he had never told her his secrets and she therefore did not have a clear picture of what was hurtful. She of course had the idea of it and knew basically which things to keep from talking about, but with it being so blurry, it was far from a guarantee. She would love for him to trust her enough to eventually talk of all the things he kept hidden behind walls. ”No, that can't be true! I'm pretty sure I got them trained for physical damage more than emotional damage... It must be a defect in the training program. Disappointing.” she let out a dramatic sigh and crossed her arms in front of her chest as she shook her head from the disappointment she was trying to illustrate with her gesture and posture. ”Well, I guess I'll have to call them back and ask for a proper training. Lucky you.” she stated while shrugging slightly with slender, feminine shoulders – almost bare in the long, black dress she was wearing. Her secret of the night was that she had dressed up that fancy to be looked at. But not by just anybody. By Jordan. She had hoped he'd be there and that he would see her, now that she had done something extra in order to be feminine and gorgeous. She even felt good in the outfit, although she would not wear it any other day. As the deal of them spending the rest of the weekend together was settled, she smiled to herself happily. That long time with her best friend was well needed indeed! She caught his gaze also as he seemed so glad about this too. She thought that maybe he really had missed her while he was away. She bit teasingly out in the air, “trying” to catch his tongue between her teeth. Not for real obviously, but just to warn him about being so cocky. She firstly found it a little strange, the tone he had used for the next sentence. It were as if he was really serious behind the tease and joking they had going on. It caused for her to tilt her head slightly to the side as she wondered if she really were to interpret it into something more. ”Yes we are. Almost at least.” she replied with a voice mixed in softness and tease.
The childish redhead giggled by Jordan's talk of his own dance moves that were supposedly as good as Emi's disco moves. ”Aha? Prove it!” she demanded, as she stepped back and a little away from him in order to give him the space to do a running man. She laughed cheerfully and wrapped her arms around him again for the support, for a hug and for more dancing with him. She shook her head a little at him. ”You wouldn't live long without my most charming disco dancing. I can teach ya'.” she stated playfully and leaned her forehead slightly on his chest for a few moments, before looking up and actually sensing a little jealousy showing in his face. She arched an eyebrow slightly at this – maybe because she didn't think, Jordan cared so much about that, and because she herself saw Isaac as a big brother. He was after all her sorta-big sister's boyfriend. It was impossible for her not to smile, when he cupped her face and kissed her forehead so gently. A warm and nice feeling spread throughout Emi's whole body and she kissed the part between his chin and lower lip in return. ”I'd like that very much.” she smiled up at him and poked him in the side. ”I hope you have a lot of cool things planned.”

WITH M Y FATE, MY THOUGHTS ERASE MY HEADS A BLUR, THE PICTURE FADES
• • • • • • • • • The floppy haired brunette raised his eyebrow at her deep philosophic voice, as if she had spent many years pondering and researching him as a subject to finally come out with some symbolic answer; though what she said did hold a grain of truth. There were very few people in Jordans life that could actually ask him to do something that would seemingly curb his…wild nature, well most of the time anyways. Emi just happened to be one of the few that could actually make him refrain from doing something that might cause him to get into a bit of trouble, like drinking until he could no longer stand up, or hitting a bong or something else. Other than Emi, he could not think of one person that could ask him to not do something, with him out least considering ignoring their pleading words. With Emi he generally did with she asked without a second thought, she said jump, he said how high. With the exception of a few times, namely when he showed up at her place drunk and stoned out of his mind, that was a giant set back but he figured they had moved past that now. The big issue now was the fact that he had skipped town for a while without even dropping anyone a line, he didn’t even tell his roommate where he was going, only that he was going to be gone for a little while; and not to worry he’d have his rent money wired to his bank account. Yet here he was dancing with Emi like he had not upset her greatly, he supposed that it was the power of their strange friendship. They could move past something quickly, putting it a side only to revisit it at a later date once they had both calmed down and worked through their individual qualms so that they could address the subject with the maturity that he was surprised either of them had. This is not to say they were both only capable of fun and silly things, even if that’s what most other people thought. They were actually capable of having a mature conversation, though Jordan believe that it took a lot more for him than it did for Emi to refrain from turning it into a joke; to mask all the nasty pain with comic relief.
“Psh, I’m not some child that needs a babysitter m’dear.” He stated with a fake indignant tone as he crossed his bottom lip jutted out in a pout. His indignant expression softened into a mild smile almost immediately, the rouse being traded in for an almost thankful look. “I appreciate your dedication to making me a better person though.” He stated, his tone only slightly teasing, more so thankful. He actually believe that if he did not have Emi to ground him on a daily basis he would probably get into a lot more trouble than he normally did, which would not be a good thing. So even if sometimes he became mildly annoyed with her almost mothering nature he was more so pleased with the fact that she cared enough to watch out for him; another quality that he absolutely loved about her. Her next statements produce a bought of laughter, “well I don’t know, maybe you should keep them that way.” He pondered out loud, “after all physical damage eventually heals, emotional damage stays with you forever.” He stated a ghost of a frown appearing on his face for a moment before it dissolved into an uneasy smile. All this talk about damage was slowly upsetting his all ready delicate mood; he needed to be sure to trying and keep his thoughts from straying to anything beyond Emi and the current moment. With that in mind he swept his eyes down her frame, a smile began to curve his lips upward at the sight of her. Emi was so elegantly made up tonight, and he liked to think that he was part of the reason that she had decided to get so dressed up; though that was unlikely. Still though, since she had gone above what she normally wore he decided that it was only fit to comment on it. “You look absolutely stunning tonight.” He commented sweetly while holding her gaze before flicking it out to the crowd to prevent from doing something that was not in his plan; like leaning down to capture his lips in a loving kiss. That was not exactly on the agenda, yet.
Thankfully the moment passed as she teasingly tried to catch his tongue with her teeth, a threat long ago promised by the two, though neither had gone passed playfully joking about it; maybe he’d have to courage to do it one day. Jordan regarded her carefully, arching his eyebrow slightly at the tilt of her head and softness of her statement. He wondered exactly what she meant by that, but decided that her reaction was a good one none the less. Instead of replying vocally he smiled at her, a slow sweet grin that lit up his entire face. The moment quickly passed, almost too quickly in Jordans mind, but none the less he was happy that she was enjoying herself now. Another bought of laughter fell from his lips as she demanded that he prove it, she even went so far as to give him a little space. He shook his head, declining for the moment. “I would not want to embarrass you my dear Emi.” He joked while reciprocating her hug, wrapping his arms around her. “I think you’re right, I would just die if I didn’t know how to disco dance like you.” He remarked with a playful roll of his eyes before turning his gaze down to met hers. He grinned at her arched eyebrow, not at the least embarrassed that she had caught the jealously that had briefly consumed him. He may have felt slightly silly that he was jealous of someone that was currently romantically involved with someone else, but it was an automatic reaction that just proved to Jordan further that Emi was worth displaying such emotions that he normally thought made him look insecure. Anything thoughts of jealously were quickly displaced with the affection that Emi had shown him in return for his own affection, that was unique to the two of them. Jordan shifted slightly as she poked him, biting back a small giggle, he was freakishly ticklish and wished to keep that hidden from the people at the party. He looked at Emi, a playfully scolding look on his face before he tsk-tsked her. “Of course I have lots of cool things planned, after all I’m Jordan Dredd, cool is practically my middle name.” he joked through a small chuckle. “But I don’t want to ruin the surprise by going into any details.” He added while poking her in the nose, a wide smile on his lips.

So raise your glass if you are wrongIn all the right ways - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Although Emi knew that Jordan listened to her and not so much other people, she still had the feeling that he was an independent being. She would never believe that she could make him do anything, he was strongly against. Of course she would never ask him such things as she really did care for his well-being. She did appreciate that he didn't just shut off and stop listening to her, when she was trying to express a worry or such to him. She hadn't done much of the “Do this” and “Do that”, but expressed how she felt about some things and asked him to avoid doing just this in her presence. For example with his drug use. It was one of her only commandments that he didn't come see her, whenever he was high, for she did not like watching him be like that. It made her very much uncomfortable, but she never showed that too much. Even though he was high, he wasn't impossible to hurt. She would smile and laugh with him in these situations but in the same time be a little extra caring to make sure he didn't drop dead or unconscious on her floor. So far there had been no problems with that, but she was still a bit reluctant about the drug use. She didn't like to see people be out of their mind. She accepted it, but she did express that she didn't feel too secure about it; and she had said that to quite many of her friends. But besides that, she didn't remember any times where she had been very bossy. She knew that she had the ability to ask him to do much, but didn't use it for much. He was too valuable to her and making him hate her was the last thing she would allow herself. Had she been childish all the way through her body, she might have used it, like any child would use the opportunity to be serviced by other people, however, that was not the case with the redhead. She believed that the world was funnier seen through the eyes of a child and the best experiences came from doing something childish, but she was in fact an adult when she needed to be. She was going to be, when Jordan had gotten some sleep so he'd be alright with a little talk about where he'd been. She was going to ask, and she was worried that something horrific had pulled him away from her, so that conversation was probably nescessary. As for this night though, Emi decided to just have fun and not worry so much.
”You kind of are though. Just look at how tiny you are.!” she said while standing on tip toes and trying to look all big and strong, but she failed horribly next to Jordan who was just tall by nature. Even in stilettos, she could not match his height. Still, she stubbornly shot her chest and chin forward to look big and dangerous. The masquerade only lasted so long however, before she broke into a wide, pearly smile and she shook her head at him. She really liked the tone of voice he was using when he spoke his next words, as if he was really thankful that she was trying to help him so much. She shrugged a little and flushed by this, as she gazed to the side and avoided his eyes for a short while, before yet again locking gazes with him. ”I'd say you were a pretty good person also when I had just met you.” she pointed out and smiled at him. She did not want to take much credit for his character and personality traits. ”All I've ever done is refining, and that was not needed very much.” she shrugged and tried to make it as small a deal as possible. Of course she loved that he was thankful and all, but she also felt like she didn't deserve it much. She just wanted him to be safe and happy and that was the only reason for doing as she did. When he said the next thing and his face turned darker and a bit more distant, she bit down on her lower lip, and she reached up a hand to gently touch the features of his face and look into his eyes. It was a simple gesture, but the expression in her eyes made it perfectly clear that it was a way of saying “I'm there for you.” without any words. ”But emotional damage could also mend eventually, if one would talk about it and let it go. It might be painful, but not impossible.” she said, seemingly still to the ninja-soldier conversation, but the words fitted a bigger picture. Such as the secrets, Jordan kept from her, and she knew how painful they were. She could see it in his eyes, even when no one else noticed. She smiled to herself when he seemed to notice how dolled up she was and he seemed to like it. ”I'm glad you like it. It means a lot to me.” she said, hoping that she wasn't giving away too much and thereby telling him that it was very much for his sake she had dressed up. She indirectly said it but silenced afterward, as he gazed into her eyes and then looked away. She kissed his cheek once with her soft, full lips, before telling him: ”Of all people's thoughts of me, yours is the most important ones for me.”
He replied the perfect way to her statement; with an honest, sweet smile. She needed no other response to know that he accepted it. She gently pushed him backwards with sweet laughter when he refused to do the running man and prove his worth, she never let him go however, so they kept on standing near each other, she was just gently touching his chest and pushing him slightly backwards laughingly. ”You could never embarrass me, you silly goose. I'm like the most embarrassing, crazy, awkward person around here, so I don't believe you have anything to worry about.” she giggled with her light, sweet voice, as she hid her mouth with a hand. She gazed over his shoulders a few times before leaning in closer and whispering:”Do you really want to disappoint your audience?” she asked him teasingly and nodded towards a very small amount of people sitting in the bar. Only one of them – a girl of course – frequently looked in Jordan and Emi's direction. The glimpse in Emi's eyes was teasing however, and she kept on having her arms around him, not letting go the next few moments. ”So dull you are.” she sighed dramatically and stuck out her tongue at him. She arched an eyebrow at his next statements and she poked him in the sides again as a punishment. ”Don't think too highly about yourself. I mean, next to my coolness, your coolness is basically nothing. “ she wiggled her eyebrows at him and let out a chuckle. Emi had some amount of self confidence, but not so much that comments like these were to be taken seriously. In her mind, everything was a joke until seriousness seemed necessary. ”I have very high expectations, young man.!” she firmly and decisively stated and she poked him right back on the nose with a challenging look in her face. Her attention seemed to fall on the bar, when a lot of glasses full of champagne were placed in rows and the bartender called out that there was 10 minutes till' midnight and the new year. ”Come along!!” she said enthusiastically as she grabbed one of his hands and pulled him along to the bar, so the two of them could get glasses before the big crowds came along and demanded space. She took two glasses and gave one to Jordan, as the bartender called out '5 minutes!'. She did not let go of his hand at all, instead she cuddled his while moving to a place, where they would not be mashed by the growing crowd. ”Any new year resolutions?” she asked him teasingly, as she sat down on a table and looked up at his face.

WITH M Y FATE, MY THOUGHTS ERASE MY HEADS A BLUR, THE PICTURE FADES
• • • • • • • • • Truly there were only a few people in the world that he trusted and at this point in time he was only in regular contact with one-Emi. As soon as he laid hazel eyes on the adorable red head he knew that he would be able to trust her with all of his secrets, even with his life if need be; which technically he did on a few occasions. Anytime that he had been under the influence and showed up on her door step she usually made sure that he made it to the next morning alive and mostly unscathed, except for the aching hangover that he mostly deserved. The best part about her watching over him was that she did not do it in some naggy way that only drove him to do more and worse; like a mother telling her to stay in Friday night and do his homework. No, Emi did it in such a way as if she was talking to a child who did not quite understand the possible consequences. She used patience and truthful words in a joking tone, that’s what spoke to him; well most of the time. The brunette boy just found that some people gave out a certain vibe that drew others towards them, whether it be because they are charming or trustful or whatever. He was not entirely certain if it was one specific trait are a few select traits, but Emi seemed to possess the perfect balance that drew him like a moth to flame- as cliché as that was anyway.
Jordan arched an eyebrow, mild amusement shining behind his eyes as he regarded the bubbly redhead “You’re so adorable when you try to act bigger than me.” He teased while pinching her cheek lightly. He always find it rather cute when she tried to act tough or bigger than he was, it was like a child playing dress up in their parents wardrobe. As she shot her chest out and jutted her chin forward he felt his smile growing, when she took on a role she always made sure to commit, even if it was just with ridiculous actions. “Yup, that’s me, tiny little Jordan. Barely tall enough to see over the bar.” He joked sarcastically, rolling his eyes ever so slightly before his face relaxed into a smile. Momentarily his gaze flicked out over the crowd, surveying the situation, in unfamiliar places –when he wasn’t piss drunk- he liked to know what was going on. Jordans gaze fell back on Emi, meeting hers as she offered her praising words. He smiled almost bashfully, “aww shucks Emi, you make me blush.” He joked playfully. Trust Emi to know exactly how to act to his sometimes erratic behavior, it always comforted him greatly. He returned her soulful look with one of his own, expressing thanks with a slow smile and a subtle nod of his head. The hazel eyed boy stared at Emi, head tilting ever so slightly at her double entendre; he wondered when she got…philosophical. “Mhm, yeah, just maybe you’re right.” He murmured quietly. He flashed her a dazzling smile, trying to assure her that he was fine; but no matter how hard he tried to hide it he could never change his eyes. He can smirk and joke and force the smiles and the grins and lie to everyone including himself, but not to Emi she can see right through him and see just how broken he is. That was the one thing he absolutely loved about her and absolutely hated. Thankfully when she kissed his cheek and murmured that his opinion was the most important he did not have to fake the genuine happiness that lit up his face and curved his lips into a smile; he was becoming more certain about Emi with every passing moment.
Jordan took a step back to balance himself his happy smile sliding into a grin as the conversation turned playful once again; he much preferred for their conversations to take on this tone. “While that may be true,” he began, pausing to chuckle lightly before continuing, “I would not have it any other way.” He finished before turning his head slightly to follow her line of sight. He raised an eyebrow at her comment, flashing the girl a charming, but dismissive smile before turning his full attention back to Emi. “tonight I am catering to an audience of one.” He stated while smiling at her. “Hmm, you won’t think I’m dull after tonight.” He remarked with a wolfish grin, a playful glint in his eyes. He waved off her next statement with a roll of his eyes and a step back as she poked his sides “uh huh, whatever gets you through the night babe.” He remarked. Jordan wrinkled his nose as she poked it, hanging his head lightly as if he was a sullen teenager trying to ignore his mothers words. Before he had a chance to make a witty retort he was pulled towards the bar now lined with champagne and had a glass handed to him, which he took a substantial sip from before following Emi out of the more populated area. The boy shrugged at her question, flicking his gaze towards the ceiling in thought. After a brief moment he returned his gaze back to Emi, “I guess to not waste my time and lost chances anymore.” He concluded thoughtfully. “What about you?” he asked before taking a sip of his champagne.

So raise your glass if you are wrong In all the right ways - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - It was a commonly known fact that Emi trusted people far too easily. However, she would not leave her life and happiness in someone random’s hands. She had a lot of good friends she’d trust with personal in tell, but she would only leave her own life in the hands of very few people: Jordan, Isaac, Chess and her parents. Her family and imaginative brother and sister held Emi’s life and if she ever was in danger, she wouldn’t think twice about asking for help from these people… But Jordan was the one to hold Emi’s heart and thereby her happiness. She could only hope that he would not break it. She did not believe that he would – especially not on top of this whole night. She had never experienced him so loving, showing affection in a public place like this before. She knew the line between what they had done before and what they were doing tonight and they were definitely moving into a new phase of their relationship, or so she felt it. These caresses and gentle kisses had a whole other nature than the usual ones exchanged by the two of them, and Emi hoped in her heart that it meant a new era for them. She hoped that this was her ‘go’ sign – the one she had been waiting for in months. Of course though, she did not want to get her hopes up, if it was only because he was in a more loving mood this night, so she took her time to watch him and try to read all of his little expressions. Still, she had to be sure. She had to know before she took any kind of action towards telling him about how she had felt for months and how the love in her heart still grew bigger even though she had been trying to avoid it. As these thoughts passed her mind, her face looked softer, warmer with a slight hint of sadness to it.
She of course pushed this away when the joke kept on and she shot him a frown as she gazed up at his face. ”Act? What do you mean by that? I AM bigger than you, tiny Jordan…” she spoke out in a highly insulted tone of voice, but the masquerade only lasted so long before it cracked and she was smiling teasingly to him, while her honey brown eyes lightened up in a wonderful, cheery expression. ”It’s almost sad that you’re so small. Do you need a seat on my shoulders so you can see over the bar?” she asked him in a cocky and teasing tone of voice, as she arched an eyebrow and winked at him. She even bent down a little as to make room for him, but of course not seriously. If he was to take a seat on her shoulders, she’d fall to the ground with him. She was strong of course due to all the training, but she couldn’t brag about usually carrying people around. She bit her lip slightly, when he turned all bashful. ”I don’t mind. You look adorable when you blush, sweetheart.” she said with a little glimpse in her eyes, but in an honest tone of voice. He never looked cuter than when his cheeks were red and wonderful. She even brushed her fingers gently over his cheeks as she spoke these words, and the teasing glimpse was to trace in her eyes throughout this caress. She kept looking into his gorgeous, hazel eyes, also when he tried to seem happy and fine. She knew him better though. She knew him well enough to see it hidden in those well known eyes. Luckily she also knew how to make him push sad thoughts away again – until later that was.
Emi was known as the clown of the crowd usually, but she had gotten surprisingly few comments on her appearance this night. It had her thinking that maybe she should be more elegant on a daily basis, but she quickly decided not to. Her individual style was what defined her as ‘Emi’ and no one else. She could not change that about herself, regardless of how much other people disliked that. ”Good. ‘Cuz I ain’t going to change that about myself. I like being silly.” she replied to him and she ran a hand through her red, curly locks of hair to keep them falling into her face all of the time. But it kept interrupting anyway and she gave up trying to fix it. She couldn’t help but smile a little bashfully herself when he spoke those next words, silently pleased that he kept on focusing on her alone – not only this night, but in general. There were plenty girls who had their eyes locked on him whenever he was spending time with Emi, but never did he focus on them. Emi was always the one to have his full attention, and she loved that about him. It made her feel important. ”I am very honored, my love.” she spoke and she tilted her head sweetly to the side as she regarded him a little with a thankful expression in her honey brown Bambi eyes. ”Is that so? What do you have in mind?” she asked him with a raised eyebrow and a curious voice. She’d like to know what that wolfish grin was for, and he had her feeling all curious already now. She watched him as he was thinking about her question about New Year’s resolutions. The break from talking also had her thinking about what she would answer to the same question and by the time he started to speak, she had decided. She smiled at his reply and she nodded a few times to it. ”That seems like a pretty good resolution to have.” she said as she watched him. She took her time to think her answer through one last time before saying: ”I think I’m going to try to fight more to achieve what I want. I’ve been kind of a coward this year.” she said with a little nod of her face and she looked at the man in the bar, as he started the countdown towards midnight. ”I probably should stop being so naïve too.” she mumbled too and she shook her head slightly, before joining in on the countdown. ”5, 4, 3, 2, 1…” she yelled with the rest of all the people, but her gaze was fixated on Jordan. She had an idea and she figured it was a wonderful idea. By the strike of midnight, she gently placed a hand on his chest, stood on her toes and she kissed him for the first time on the lips, eyes shut. She even took her time, because she had a wonderful excuse for this move. New Year’s kisses. It was the perfect explanation for kissing him, especially if he got mad about it. Then she could just shrug and use that excuse, but still be happy that she at least had tried it.
