played by alex
"So babe, lets get comfortable. You got a nickname I can call you by?"
It's not really a nickname so much as it's just a shortened version of my name. But Eli. I go by Eli. Please don't ever call me Elias.
"Well, can't say it doesn't fit you. From the looks of you, I could think of just a few better. I'm just gonna call you babe for this interview. You mind? Great. Has anyone ever told you you look like.."
Shaun White? I know, I know. But dude, for real, I've got better hair. Don't even kid.
".. Yeah, actually. You must get that a lot. You're kind of hot, I gotta say. But for the ears out there listening, you wanna explain what's cooking?"
Aside from my delicious flowing mane of fire red hair which cascades from my shoulders like a beautiful lava flow... okay, but seriously I've got a mess of uncontrollable red hair, some brown eyes, and I'm somewhat tall. My grandma always says I could use some more meat on my bones, but she'll get over it. I eat enough for the both of us anyway.
"You are too cute. You wear this kind of stuff often, or is this just for me?"
I wear the same stuff pretty much every day. I've got plaiditude. Lots of plaid. If you open my closet, you'll see tons of plaid and then hoodies my wife steals from me. I don't mind, though. Oh and bright pants. Especially red. I have no problem wearing red pants.
"Ohh. Are you hitting on me? Haha. No, seriously, what are you? Gay or straight? You look kinda like a swinger, if you don't mind me saying..."
I'm as hot-blooded male as they come. In fact, I'm married. To a woman. So, that's that.
"Damn. GET SOME! Hah. You wanna smoke? Drink? I got some drugs in the back if you want. -winks-"
Nah, I don't really do any of that. I'm not as straight-edge as you may think, but I'm not really into that stuff. I'd rather drink Red Bull and drive fast cars.
"... Oh, so you must be a virgin, huh?"
My wife is totally pregnant... so... no.
"Knew it. So, you got any secrets? Come on, you can tell me. Promise this interview won't leak anywhere."
I'm a pretty open guy. Wait, no. I do have a secret. But I can't tell you either because then my wife will find out. I know the gender of our baby-to-be. I refuse to say it out loud, but I know she's upset that I know it and she didn't want me to. I don't like secrets anymore.
"..Ouch. Okay, don't be so cold kid. There's always a way out of shit like that. Got any ambitions, babe?"
Who doesn't? I'm in school as we speak, trying to become a filmmaker or some ludacris dream like that. I want to make documentaries and comedies, and more importantly, I want to travel the world with my little family and let my kid experience everything I couldn't. And don't tell anyone, but I really want to get back into sports. I can't tell my wife that, I don't know why. I just feel like she wouldn't want to hear it. But I have goals. Lots of 'em.
"Okay, okay. Don't get too excited. Half of those weren't even real questions.. Okay let's see. Oh, here's a good one. Describe yourself in five or more words. Easy, right? You could go more into detail if you want, I don't mind one bit."
A lot of people say I'm goofy and hyperactive. I can't argue. I'm also incredibly oblivious, and I know it. I don't really know what's going on all the time and it gets the better of me. But I'm really protective, especially of my family. And loyal. I would definitely kill for the ones I love, that's got to be a good trait I would think. I'm a pretty laid-back guy, and pretty funny if you ask me. I like to crack jokes anyway, don't know if they're as funny as I think.
"Couldn't agree more babe. Alright. Um.. Oh, here's another. Five likes and dislikes?
I like sports, snow, rain, storms, film, imagination, photography, my sexy as hell wife, shopping believe it or not, Dr. Pepper, classic movies... um, I really love snowboarding. It's way too much fun and I'd like to teach those who are too scared to try it. I do not like, however, spiders. Or rude people. Or loud children. Loud noises in general. I hate selfishness and I dislike drunk people because they're idiots. I don't like judgmental people, or my parents, or being alone. That's about it.
".. Kinky! So last question. Gimme the details, how'd you get to where you are today?"
Well, I was born in Colorado and raised by some very demanding parents. They wanted me to be a lawyer or follow in some business degree like my father. But that wasn't for me. At all. Lawyer? No way. I started messing around with sports from a very young age and friends were plentiful throughout school. We got in so much trouble it's not even funny. Except, actually, it is. Anyway, when I was fourteen I met the woman of my dreams. Even at such a young age, I knew she was the one for me. It's hard to explain and people think I'm crazy, but I knew. Unfortunately, she didn't. Bridget, that was her name, was new to my school and I went out of my way to make sure she knew I existed. I remember asking her out at least a dozen times before she finally said yes to my dorky face and crazy weird mess of hair. The rest fell into place and somewhere along the way, I finally won her over. We've been together ever sine we were fourteen years old, and I've never had another girlfriend since. I didn't want one, and I know no one could have been better than Bridget was to me.
When we were eighteen, I had gone through enough with my parents that I wanted out of my house. Bridget's parents died when she was young and I'd been spending most of my time with her anyway so we decided it was time to leave Colorado. We packed up and took her little sister with us before landing in California. The mecca for entertainment, I figured we were set. Me with film and Bridget with photography. We're now in our senior year of college for our respected arts... but that's not the only thing going on. We're expecting. That's right, a baby. Bridget informed me she was pregnant a few months ago - the scariest and also most exciting day of my life. Even though I'm somewhat estranged from my parents, they had raised me a certain way and I knew marriage was the next step. I was clear to make sure Bridget understood I wanted to marry her because I loved her, not because of the baby, and the next thing I knew, we were newlyweds. We've only been married for a short time now and I'm still getting used to being a husband. A husband! It's so crazy. But somehow I have to graduate and become a father all in a matter of months. It would probably help if I wasn't too busy watching old cartoons and shopping for Toy Story bed sheets, yeah?
"Awe, well. Least you're still alive. Got yourself, right? That's the spirit. We'll look at your interview and give you the results, so sit tight for a few minutes, okay? And don't you dare think about leaving. I'll find you and interview you again. Don't get pissy with me, I'm just the goddamn interviewer."
