She lets her style speak for her. movement/feel - When she walks she's always looking around and dreaming. She sees the world the way a child does, and so when she walks she sees the world as if for the first time: with wonder and enthusiasm. She's afraid of guys because she was raped, but she's straight. likes - Clouds, dancing in the rain, walking barefoot, the tickle you get from walking in tall grass, the way things smell after it rains, thrift shops, kid cereal, music, dreaming, freedom, roaming, playing the guitar, sleeping under a tree, fantasy, animals, playing around, nature, the beach, sunny days, lazy days dislikes - reality, commitment, cubicles, boring things, being inside the DMV, shoes, people secrets - when she was 15 she was raped, and she got pregnant with the guy's child. She didn't want to have an abortion, so she gave birth to the baby but she couldn't look at it because it was too upsetting for her to remember her attacker's face so she put the baby up for adoption. ambitions - To fulfill her purpose in life, as ambiguous as that sounds. She wants to play her part in making the world a better place. A bit about her - She's a whirlwind of creativity and enthusiasm, but she's often misunderstood and thought to be weird because of her tendency to be on her own. She's a bit of a loner, but once you get to know her she's really nice and can cause you to see the world in a different way.
history history - Indigo was born into a relatively wealthy, upper-middle class family in the suburbs of LA. Her parents were obsessed with her success, so as a child instead of getting coloring books they would give her encyclopedias to read. Before bed, they'd read her law books. It wasn't like she understood any of it, but she knew she preferred the encyclopedias to the law books. She never really had much of a childhood, and she really missed out on the joys of being a child. She hardly got any sun because her parents wouldn't let her leave the house for fear of her getting skin cancer, which caused her skin take on a grayish hue. Her diet was scientifically constructed to keep her at her "healthiest", but in reality the healthy crap they gave her caused her to have a skeletal, emaciated look that was anything but healthy. She took at least 6 vitamin supplements a day, the most being 10. She was kept isolated from other kids by being home-schooled, so her mind never completely matured and she grew up lacking social common sense.
She lived this way until she was about 10. She'd never done anything creative or fun, never been able to express herself until one day her parents sent her to a summer camp for kids that would be future politicians. The camp shared a building with another camp for kids that were interested in art. Indigo ditched politician camp for art camp, and so every day for a month instead of going to the boring camp her parents had picked out for her, she learned about self-expression and color. When she got back from camp on the last day, she'd dyed her hair vivid purple. Her parents nearly died of shock, because they were convinced that dying hair caused cancer. They made her shave her head so the cancer causing agents in hair dye wouldn't get into her brain. Of course, they completely overreacted, but nonetheless she was without hair because of them.
She practiced art in secret until she was 13, and at that age she decided to move in with her aunt instead of living with her over protective parents. She enrolled in a normal public school and quickly shot to the front of her art class. everything was good until her aunt got a new boyfriend.
Her aunt was obsessed with him, and in her eyes he could do no wrong. However, what she didn't know was that the man was sexually abusing indigo on an almost daily basis. Her parents had already replaced her with a new baby they had to obsess over, so she figured they wouldn't take her back after she'd moved out. She was too afraid to tell her aunt that he was abusing her, so this abuse went on for about a month until she took a pregnancy test and it came back positive. She then had to gather up the courage to talk to her aunt about it. She couldn't tell her aunt in person, so she had to write her a letter. The bastard was put behind bars shortly because of all the evidence there was against him. Indie was 15 when all this happened.
Instead of getting an abortion, she ended up giving birth to the child at age 16 and putting him up for adoption. After that she resumed high school, but she really kept away from guys because the experience had been so traumatic for her she couldn't be close to them.
