astair your glare is killing me astair in skies of blue Now, whoever invented this whole 'welcome-back-to-school-dinner' thing was definitely asking for it. Yeah, he could see how that was sweet, dandy and all, but by inviting both schools to the event? Rival schools? He didn't exactly agree on all the conflict that sparked between the colleges - but this was just a straight up dumb idea. No offense to the council that decided it, but perhaps they didn't fully understand or comprehend their students. Were they expecting this to be some hug foundation and kiss up fest? Ah well. When it came down to it there really wasn't much he could do, except stick to his own grounds and watch out for himself. The usual. That's how it typically was with everybody, or at least the people he knew. The kind of people he aimed to surround himself with. But, there was always one of those uptight assholes at either school that causes the stereotype to live again. His blue eyes scanned the room - soaking in all the elaborate decorations, booming banners, and bright colors. Even if they didn't have the most perfected intentions, they at least did an excellent job in making the place look nice. He already bumped into a few classmates he knew from the previous year, and even met a few ones. But, he hadn't really ran into any good friends of his. Maybe he was the early bird in the group.
the signs you wear are making me so confused

We're gonna fuel the fire, gonna stoke it upWe're gonna sip this wine and pass the cup - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Gabi was moving graciously through the door and with her tall stilettos clicking on the floor, she wandered inside the decorated room taking in all of her surroundings. Even though the whole dinner was doomed to be a disaster because of the Balston monkeys coming too, they sure knew how to make a room look its best. They had most certainly spent a lot of time on the decorations and tableware and the music was cozy and something Gabi would catch herself weaving to. It was soft jazz tunes and she loved that. After all, saxophone was the instrument she had chosen to play back in the days. And that was due to her fondness of New Orleans and Swing jazz. Modern jazz still hadn't impressed her much yet. She hummed along to the classic hit 'L-O-V-E' by Nat King Cole. It was charming and contagious, but it could make anyone feel better and more relaxed. Maybe that was exactly the thought behind the music – if the young people from both colleges got more relaxed around each other they would give one another a chance.. HAH! The likeness of such a plan to succeed was basically none.
Anyway, she found her way to the drinks fast and threw down one or two before starting to mingle with the other students. However, not many of her friends had arrived just yet and it was quite the surprise that she was there by now. As the other people in her circle of friends she was one of those to arrive in the last minute or a little later just to make the entrance. Typical popular kid stuff. But tonight she hadn't really felt like doing just that. So she did a little change in her usual routine and came early. Maybe she'd get to know more people like that. Expand her horizon a little.
Her dark eyes fell on a typical surfer-dude with blonde hair and blue eyes, wide chest and shoulders. It wasn't a bad sight at all, even though he wasn't really the kind of guy she'd usually dwell to much on. But she had been spending a lot of time on the beach of hawaii whenever they went on a holiday (which was often, by the way and always on Hawaii. They had a house there). She had been taught how to surf, but she didn't do it at all by now. So he had some sort of interest for her. If he was a surfer she'd probably ask him if he could teach her some. What she did not know was that he was a Balston kid. He didn't look like all the freaks over there at all. ”Hey gorgeous. Looking for someone?” she asked in her usual flirty and half charming tone of voice, when she got closer. Notes: Figured you'd like a reply ^^ And I think these two chill people would be alright ^^' AND I AM SO SORRY IT GOT SO LONG!! I think I really have muse for Gabi :S I tried to make it as short as possible xD It'll be shorter next time - promise! Outfit: Here Lyrics:Kings of Leon - Manhattan
