It seems like every day’s the sameAnd I’m left to discover on my own - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Emi had heard of the welcome back dinner long before it even started. She had looked forward to it with joy and with some amount of anxiety. She knew that students from both schools were invited and just that was a great sign that everything could go wrong, since many of the students were distinctively evil to students from the other school. However, Emi wasn't one of them. She actually believed that you should not judge people just by the school they went to. But she had only met few with that point of view themselves.
Wearing a simple black dress that was knee-lenghted, a pair of black stilettos, a little bag and simple jewellery, she stepped into the big room where the welcome dinner was supposed to take place. She liked the place. It was very pretty with all the tables and flowers all over the place. She hadn't known if she was overdressed for the occasion, but now she was sure she looked alright - maybe even good. She had done her best to look formal at least. It had cost her a lot of money, she barely had, but she was happy with the way she looked. She had even put her hair loosely up in a pretty loose 'bun' ish style.
She looked around her and tried to locate some of her friends and she saw a couple of familiar ones. She raised one hand and waved when her eyes fell on Isaac, the art freak she had met some days ago and liked already. He was special in a way not many others were. He was a bit like the bickering big brother kind of guy. She moved towards him, smiling. Notes: Tags: Isaac Clarke Outfit: Here Hairdressing:

( some dance to remember ) s o m e • d a n c e • t o • f o r g e t ______________________ Isaac was having a horrible time at this welcome dinner already, and he had only been there for under an hour. A heavy liquor drink in hand, the twenty two year old stood with his free hand in his pocket, bright brown eyes scanning the many faces that were littering the dining room. Each face, for the most part looked the same. A girl with too much make up or a guy with too much gel - a lot of the guys here looked like something out of that horrible TV show Jersey shore. He gave a look of disgust at some of the blow outs that caught his eye, taking another rather large swing of his drink, cleaning out the glass. He placed it on the table he was hoping to take a seat at when it came time to eat. He was far too lazy to walk to the bussing station to put the glass down, a waiter should be around shortly to get it anyways. Walking to that side of the room would take him farther away from the open bar as well, something that was not going to fly. This smi-alcoholic needed his 'fix,' because If he was ever going to get through this night he needed a little liquid gold in his veins.
Getting another drink and heading back over to his table Isaac was wondering what the hell was keeping him here. Maybe it was the free booze or all the short dresses, but there was no one here really keeping him around. The one girl who blew him away was so mad at him she was no longer speaking to him, Isaac only able to find peace of mind in the bottom of a glass. Yet he still stood in the same spot, eyes surveying the crowd as they always did. He was a people watcher at best, something that he did more then he would care to admit. Glass to his lips he spotted a hand waving at his direction, a short little red head making her way over to him. A small smile crept onto his face as he took another drink, noticing how ravishing Emi looked tonight. As she approached Isaac scanned the male audience around her, making sure that no one was looking at her or touching her inappropriately. He would have to break their hands - or face, depending on the offense. When she finally reached his position he smiled. "Hey there, circus freak," he greeted, knowing she wouldn't mind the name calling. "I feel like you are the only person worthy of my presence here right now," he grinned cheekily, his comment easily taken as a joke even though it wasn't. His eyes were focused on her currently, though they wondered to the door.
"You haven't seen Chess around, have you?"

It seems like every day’s the sameAnd I’m left to discover on my own - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - The smile on the girl's lips grew wider when she got closer to Isaac and sensed that protective glance in his eyes as she passed a bigger crowd. She moved rather fast because she had missed her 'big brother' since the last time they had talked. She wrapped her arms around his waist and leaned her head on his chest. He was so damn tall in comparison to her! So she just seemed little and vulnerable right next to him. She did not let the hug last for too long before she stepped away and looked at his outfit and finally at his face. ”Hi artsy fartsy freak! How's the weather up there?” she asked him teasingly with one eyebrow arched before sticking out her tongue. ”Of course I am! I am after all the magnificent circus freak!” she stated with a firm nod as she stretched out as long as she was to seem just a little bit taller in front of him.
His next questions caught Emi off guard. She had been sure that Isaac would be the first person Chess would find at this dinner. After what Emi knew the two of them seemed to be crazy about each other even though none of them said so with words. It was just the way they looked at each other and the expressions in their faces when they mentioned the other. ”I saw her passing by a while ago but not beside that, no. I think she might have gone home” Emi replied to his question and looked him over with suspicion, ”What has happened?” she asked with confusion in her eyes and her head tilted slightly to the side. Of course, she feared that something had gone wrong since Chess wasn't with Isaac by now. Maybe she had just come here and someone had done something to her and she had gone home... But that was not very likely since Chess took no shit from anybody. Notes: May I just say: I love Isaac :3 And I love the lyrics you chose – they are in fact from my favorite song. ( and i feel like there's nothing left to do ) b u t • p r o v e • m y s e l f • t o • y o u ______________________ "Hey listen. Just because you're a midget doesn't mean I'm obnoxiously tall," Isaac retorted, Emi's hug somewhat reassuring to him. He grinned at her next comment, another sip of his alcohol making it's way down his throat, burning the entire way. He had the complete intention of getting piss ass drunk tonight, and he didn't care who he insulted or said horrible things to in the process. Naturally, he knew Emi would keep in somewhat in check but also knew she was far too nice to really tell him be was being a pompous ass hole. "Well, Circus freak, you need to come by for another painting session. I still haven't completely finished the painting I was doing of you. I want to make sure every detail is perfect" he emphasized the perfect when he spoke, wanting her to realize he was serious. He didn't tell her yet but he had full intentions of using that painting in his art show at the end of the term. It was the first good painting he did in a while, and it was the only way he could think to thank her. Killing off his drink he looked over to the bar, placing his empty glass on the table. He knew someone would buss it eventually. "Well shit," he said, hearing she saw Chess in passing. "C'mon, I need another freaking drink," he said, placing his arm around Emi to lead her to the bar with him. He wasn't doing it in a 'I want in your pants' kind of way, but more of a 'back off my bitch or I'll kill you' kind of way. For whatever reason he was very protective of this sweet girl, and he figured with his arm around her guys wont be tempted to use their awful words and undress her with their eyes.
When they reached the bar he ordered himself a scotch, looking to Emi. "You want anything?" he asked, prepared to order something for her if she desired. Thinking back to Chess Isaac just sighed. "Well I saw her already. I was hoping I could find her later in the night after she has had the chance to cool down but if she went home then my plan was shot to shit," he started, giving a small thanks to the tender when she brought him his drink. "She told me she loved me .. and I couldn't say it back" he told her, shaking his head a little and taking a sip of his drink. He was never one to sugar coat things, nor was he one to be ashamed of his actions. "So I totally fucked up," he said, eyes floating to the rest of the dinner. He was thinking back to that conversation, replaying it over and over in his head. He was obsessing over her, it was ridiculous really. He was starting to think that there was no truth to the words he said, and that he actually did love her. But then again he knows himself - as much as he wants to find love is he honestly capable of it?

It seems like every day’s the sameAnd I’m left to discover on my own - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ”Dear Isaac, you listen to me: You are obnoxiously tall. Period. she said right back to him and stuck out her tongue childishly at him. She shoved him gently to the side after the hug and watched him carefully for a little moment while thinking about the painting and smiling because of it. It had been fun to be painted by the great senior artist she was proud to call her almost- brother. She always found it funny that he acted fairly nice around her and was... well, to be honest: An asshole to anybody else. Well, besides Chess that is. ”Well you just give me the time and the date” she said well aware that she had no plans for the nearest future. Most of the things Emi did was just impulse thoughts that was brought to actions. Like back when Mika and her went to the circus when the thought got to their mind. That was the usual way Emi planned things anyway – so obviously her schedule wasn't full at the moment. She smiled a little wider when he empathized the 'perfect' in his sentence. She felt it like a bit of a compliment because he wanted to paint her in the most beautiful way possible not just half-finish it and decide it was a lost case to capture her volatile character on canvas. After all, she did not ever look the same. ”I really look forward to seeing the end result. I'm sure you'll do fantastic” she said and tugged on his sleeve a few times like a little child looking for attention or telling their older sisters that they are great in that sweet way. And she really thought Isaac was great. He was so protective over her and gentle – and as long as he accepted Emi, she did not care what other people thought about him. She never judged other people before she knew them personally and the way she knew Isaac was great. He was like that older brother who's faults you forgive because you love them too much to be bad at them for long. She wrinkled her brows a little when he didn't seem to happy about the fact that Chess might have gone home and then he just dragged Emi along towards the bar in that way that would put all other guys to their places. Emi had to grab his arm so she would not trip. He took really long steps and she was on high heels to it was really risky to move that fast. Gratefully she could just grab him for the support.
”No thank you, I'm fine” she said when Isaac asked if he could order her anything at the bar. Emi did drink at times but she had to work out the next day and alcohol could really mess her up, so she was careful with it. After all, she was very serious about her career as an aerial acrobat. It took a lot of dedication and hard work to get there! That included being strict in these situations too. No alcohol the nights before a work out session. Emi found a place to stand near Isaac without getting in the way for other students who wanted drinks and all. She listened carefully to his words and she even wrinkled on her nose when he said that he could not tell Chess that he loved her. Emi got a little bit pissed about that actually. ”What the hell?” she said a little bit reluctant and with that skeptic gaze in her eyes, as she stepped back. ”I always thought you did love her?” she said without any understanding for what was going on. As far as Emi knew the way Isaac and Chess looked at each other, they did love each other. They did not say it out loud but Emi was positive that it was love she saw in their eyes. And now this!? She shook her head and ran a hand restlessly through a loose lock of red hair. ”Dear God.. You must have hurt my sister badly!” she said – now a little angry ! She crossed her arms and looked up at him with very serious dark eyes that told him that she was very disappointed. Notes: Poor Isaac.. He's really being hated xD And eeehm... Sorry about the long reply.. Muse? xD Tags: Isaac Clarke Outfit: Here Hairdressing:
