I can see that you're not beside me
but i still feel you shine inside of me

There was never an agenda with Caine, as a male he hardly thought that far ahead. More often than not he was part of other people's drama and agendas and just caught up in the whole mess. Exhibit A: Mika and Iris, what a mess that had created and he hoped that there would be no more of that. To be perfectly honest, the only time he had ever planned anything was to get a fix. Who he would call, where they would meet, what he was getting, how he would get the money, and where he would get high. So, it was easy to brush off planning as it was deemed so negative already to him. Everybody told him he was frying his brain away, he was rather intelligent and though not the best student he picked up new things quickly and was naturally curious. History, one of his favorite subjects, but where he excelled was Math and Technology, they were his passions and how he could break it down for the common man. Such a waste of talent, they would tell him and he was quite tired of hearing it to be honest. Mika was a braniac as well, how many people majored in Physics? Caine had made it to his final few semesters of college somehow and it was a blur how he'd managed to pass any calculus class while being asleep or playing Angry Birds on his phone the whole time. The C or B could have been an A, and his attendance was pretty shameful as well.
Caine wasn't upset, he was just in an old pattern of withdrawing, almost shutting down which he tried his best not too but you might as well been trying to knock down a wall with your bare hands. Graduate school? Of course, how could he forget that she wanted to continue her education, and here he was being an anchor to her. Still, he didn't quite look at her and let her speak instead before he just reacted. Yale, all the way in New England across the country where it was cold all the time. He couldn't imagine moving like that, but then again she was from a world far away as well. She cuddled into him and ran his hand up her arm as to sort of hug her in a way, then he stopped. She what? Move with her? Talk about a big decision. He stayed quiet, how does one respond to that? He couldn't just leave his family here and just move, he would have to take Cass with them at least, his brothers would survive. It sounded like a fantastic idea actually, change of scenery and a chance to start over, still there was a huge question on his mind. "But....what if I just end up holding you back?" Could have been halfway across the world and trouble would have found him or he would have bumped into it. Besides, what was he supposed to do at Yale?
Caine sat up and leaned against the wall where her bed was up against. This dream was everything to her and he wouldn't forgive himself if he did anything to mess that up for her, even if it meant some sacrifices. It was a serious question, he wanted to go with her and she knew that, but this was also reality and they had to check back in.
