it was the longest night of my life , "Alright, go mingle. But don't be gone too long alright? I'd like to actually see my girlfriend tonight."
With words somewhat harsh, Isaac looked at Chess seriously, they just having arrived at the party. The tension between the two was starting to get to be a little much, Isaac could feel it every time they went out or talked. Still, he kissed her goodbye, she not saying much and only offering a small smile. His lips lingered on hers for a moment, he kissing her as if he wasn't going to see her again. That thought was half true, Isaac unsure when she was going to return to his side if at all. He understood she needed to build clientele and all but come on .. they were suppose to be there together. This was the first night in weeks they were together for an extended period of time, he didn't want to spend it with anyone else but Chess Lincoln.
Dipping his hands into his front pockets Isaac sighed, eyes surfing the small crowd of people to see if he could find someone to entertain himself. He watched Chess disappear into the many faces, Isaac looking to the bar shortly after his girlfriend was out of sight. At lest one good thing would come of tonight, and that was some much needed stress relief. Between his art and whatever was going on with him and Chess the young man was seriously in need of some unwinding. He would even take a massage from a strange, given the opportunity. Knowing one wasn't going to present itself Isaac walked slowly to the bar, offering some small smiles to the people who waved in his direction. Standing at the counter where the rinks were all collectively placed Isaac grabbed a beer out of the ice, cracking it open and letting the awful taste fill his mouth. Ah, how wonderful it was. Pushing his lips together after his first slug he leaned against the counter, still waiting for entertainment to show it's face.

When she had heard of the opportunity to have a little good fun she'd been happy and had started planning what to wear – even though it was only two days ago she actually found something: A long black dress with a low-cut backside and a high slit in the side revealing a lot of her long legs which ended in her feet wearing black stilettos. Even though she wore something like that, she didn't seem too tall at all. Her red curls were elegantly piled up on her hair with only a few red locks falling into her face – on purpose. The though of the party being a mix of Balstons and Luxfords of course seemed a little tempting to her too. If Jordan was here, it would be all worth it. They had not seen each other for a while but she hoped that he would show at the party nonetheless. She did not see him at first, when she walked into the partyzone with long, elegant steps. She had been practicing the walk in high heels like these and now mastered the art. She smiled just barely to the people she passed as she gazed around for familiar faces. Someone she could have a nice chat with or so. The smile on her face grew wider by the sight of Isaac who was sitting in the bar.
She was humming and half dancing to the music as she moved toward him and avoided bumping into all the people that got in the way.. And there were quite many! After having asked for a drink at the bar and getting it shoved into her hand, Emi moved to the other end of it, where Isaac was sitting, and she discretely sneaked up behind him and blew some air on his neck, and thereafter giggling in the childish way that was so characteristic for this redhead. She wrapped her arms around him when he had seen who it was and she greeted him: ”Hey tough guy!”
. Her voice was light and cheery as she smiled at him and tilted her head sweetly to one side. ”Why are you sitting here all alone? Have my dear sister abandoned you?” she asked him smilingly before sipping a little from the glass she had been given. Her honey brown eyes were fixated on Isaac and his well-known appearance. It seemed so safe, whenever he was around, as he really did feel like a sort of big brother for Emi. it was the longest night of my life , Aside from Chess, there was only a handful of people that Isaac would of liked to be seen with tonight. Conner was a possibility, however given his already irritated state he knew that he wouldn't be able to take the guy for too long. Claude was another choice but he was a pretty popular guy and given the crowded area he assumed he would have better people to spend his time with. Lets face it, Isaac isn't the best company out there. There was also Dazy who he hadn't seen in a really long time. Isaac had no idea where his once best friend disappeared to, the hippie someone Isaac really would enjoy spending his night with considering Chess was too busy to give him any kind of attention doing god knows what.
Isaac was only at the bar area for a few minutes, but it seemed that he and Chess picked the perfect time to come to the party, considering it was really starting to get underway. A lot more people had shown up, and though Isaac was slightly curious to know who exactly arrived he didn't turn around, and merely kept looking in front of him. Then, out of no where he felt some kind of blowing on his neck. He smiled, his first reaction was to think it was Chess - which would have made him the happiest man alive at the moment. He turned around to spot another red head, but not his beloved. It was Emi, and though surprised to see it wasn't Chess he was still beaming with happiness to see the young-in. It had been far too long. He laughed a bit at her comments, catching her hug and returning it was a slight squeeze of his own. "Circus freak, where have you been all my life?" he asked with a cricked grin, taking in her appearance. She looked just as beautiful as always, Isaac making it a personal goal to make sure no one takes advantage of her tonight. With that red silo cup in hand he was sure it wasn't filled with water, and he wouldn't want any sleaze ball to make his dear Emi do something she would regret. Looks like he found his entertainment - it was never a dull moment with Emi around.
He shrugged at her mention of Chess. "She's too busy for me lately," was his only comment on the matter. He didn't really want to get into it. Isaac didn't talk about things like that - and he wasn't nearly drunk enough yet. Taking another slug of his beer he looked to her. "Y'know I finished that painting I did of you. It's going to be one of the main pieces in my art show," he said to her with a devious smile, hoping she would attend when the time comes. He was proud of his work - and Emi was one of the best muses he has ever had.

No one will ever see this side reflectedAnd if there's something wrong, who would have guessed it - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Emi's expectations to the party weren't that high. She had a few people she'd like to see and a couple of drinks to look forward to, since she didn't have any training going on the next morning. She only drank under those circumstances and never drank very much. She liked the buzz that would eventually get to her head after a few drinks, but she always understood how to stop it at that and not drink more. She hated being drunk. She had tried it once before and it had not been a very nice experience. She went to a party some months ago and a couple of douche bags had decided to get her very drunk with very strong alcohol. They had tried to persuade her into having sex with the two of them – together – but she had of course refused, even though she could barely stand straight. She was not completely out of her mind, even if a lot of people decided to think so. She had been walking home alone in the dark on unsure feet and a stomach that was turning sicker and sicker for every step until she had vomited in a bush somewhere along the road. It had been horrible and since then she had been determined not to become drunk ever again.
Emi had a very large circle of friend and a smaller circle of closer friends, with whom she'd like to talk during the night, but only few of them were there to see – Isaac was one of them however, so Emi was clearly happy as she embraced the man, she was glad to have that close a relationship with. He always watched out for Emi and kept her safe, so her naivety didn't bring her into trouble. She liked people too easily and sadly got hurt a lot when they turned out to be horrible and hurt her all the time. But she did never learn from these experiences since she so goodheartedly believed that all people had something good in them and she would be evil to not give all the same chance of becoming a friend of hers. She giggled a little at his comment and shrugged once with the bare, feminine shoulders as she gazed into his eyes and poked him on the nose with her index finger. ”I've been hiding behind my elephant. His name is Ali. Do you want to see him?” she replied teasingly with that characteristic glimpse in her honey brown bambi eyes, as she tilted her head to the side and leaned up against the bar with her hip. She was excited to hear what he had been doing and how everything was going, since they had not seen each other for a while and long time spent without this guy always meant missing out on a lot of new drama or such. There was always something going on with Isaac which surely kept Emi's mind curious. She was a sucker for excitement and new adventures – even if it were other's adventures and not her own.
”Then she surely won't mind me stealing you away.” Emi stated with her chest shot forward and her cheek proudly turned upwards, before laughing gently with her soft, little voice. She did catch up with his change of tone and didn't want to dig closer into the problem, since he did not seem to want to talk about it. So she made it a joke to loosen him up and get him into a good mood. She was in fact seeing it as her duty to keep her big brother happy now that it was she, who was talking to him. Her eyes lit up with excitement as he told her about the painting, he had been working hardly on with Emi as the motive. She nodded quickly and enthusiastically. ”That's so awesome!! I'm really looking forward to seeing it! Also the show in general. You paint fantastically, so it's bound to be a great sight to see.” she said speaking fast but never quite stumbling over the words. She jumped a little and clapped in her tiny hands. Totally excited on Isaac's behalf.

it was the longest night of my life , Drama was something that Isaac Clarke never found himself being suckered into. Things for him were always black or white, simple and clean. One night stands, parties, and a life filled with emptiness. Isaac always figured that it was because people were so emotional and made big deals out of nothing, as where he couldn't find anything to be emotional about. Aside from his art of course, but that didn't cause any dramatics. But it seemed that lately drama had been following his every step. To be honest he kind of blamed Chess, the dramatics in his life never happened until she walked back into his life. He supposed that is what he gets, for letting himself fall in love - love and misery go hand in hand, at lest so he thinks. All he ever really wanted was to find a girl he could happily lay his head with every night and he did, but it seems that isn't enough for her. Isaac, had he not viewed Emi as a sister probably would have persuaded her - she was fun, interesting and always gave him a ton of muse. It seemed that nothing got her down either, unlike her finnish counterpart who seemed to love nothing more then to fight with him.
Needless to say he was thoroughly enjoying Emi's company at the moment, even if she had only been there for a few moments. She looked great, Isaac finally taking the time to examine her dress and dolled-up persona. It made him even more cautious of the men around her, knowing that the drunk ones would love nothing more then to get a free feel. He would most certainly not have that. He couldn't help but laugh at her next comment, Isaac shaking his head for a bit. Never a dull moment, he could never guess what Emi was going to say. The Elephant comment proof enough of that fact. He wiggled his nose a little when she poked it, Isaac taking another sip of his beer and placing it down on the counter. "I would love too," he responded, reaching behind him and grabbing a napkin. he placed it on the counter and used it as a coaster for his beer - Isaac was strange like that. "Don't tell me you brought it to the party. That would be the most interesting thing I've seen in a while," he grinned.
Isaac's ego grew a bit with Emi's excitement for his art. It was nice to see someone enjoyed it as much as he did. Chess use to love it, though at the moment he was unsure her standing on anything. He nodded at Emi's comments to Chess, deciding to try and keep his mind off her for the time being, knowing Emi would provide some kind of happiness for him. "I should really thank you," Isaac started, grabbing another napkin and pulled a black wax-pencil from his pocket. He always had an emergency art pencil with him. "If it wasn't for you my art show would be in the shitter," he admitted, starting to doodle on the napkin casually. "I'm actually using that piece as one of the main pieces. That and the one I did of Chess," he stopped doodling for a moment and looked to the wonderful Emi. "But she doesn't know, it's a surprise. I expect you can keep that secret?" he asked, arching his eyebrow a bit with a small grin on his face.

No one will ever see this side reflectedAnd if there's something wrong, who would have guessed it - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Emi was not really aware of the situation between Isaac and Chess at the moment, but she had been sensing the tension whenever she had spent some time with them, or when she mentioned the other. Emi was quite sure that the two would never break up though, since they were the most beautiful couple she had seen in a long time. Even though they might be going through a rough path, Emi didn't have a doubt in her soul that it would all be just fine again, because the two had taken ages to get together and they were so in love with each other. But she of course did not know exactly what was going on, nor what would happen in the future. She ran a hand through her curly red locks of hair, while looking up to the man who played the role as her big brother in the every day scene. He was a handsome man, no doubt, but she could not see him as anything else than the protective brother that apparently saved her from a lot of bad guys. Even if Isaac had been anything else than a brother in her eyes, she probably would not have been the one to make a move. Not in the state she was in at the moment – head over heals for another guy. She laughed at him in that childish, truly joyful way she usually managed to pull off perfectly, despite her tattooed and pierced looks. She tilted her head to the side and shrugged. ”Actually, I did. But he's quite shy, so he's hiding behind that plant over there.” she responded and pointed with a finger towards a random plant in the room. ”If you look closely, you might be able to see his purple tail.” she stated with a teasing grin widening itself on her lips.
Emi's honey brown eyes fixated on the napkin on which he was drawing doodles. Even doodles he did beautifully – and this was on a napkin. She would forever admire him for his skills. She wanted to be able to draw and paint beautifully, but she did not have the talent to sit quietly and draw or paint for hours. Emi wanted to jump around and be energetic all of the time. It was a childhood character trait that she had never lost. ”Thank me? Why?” she asked him curiously and wondrously while wrinkling her nose slightly at what he had said. She couldn't possibly have anything to do with his success at all. It was all on him. ”No, it wouldn't. You're a great artist and you would have found a way with or without me.. Don't doubt your own skills, sweety.” she stated and ruffled up his hair teasingly. She smiled widely at him and nodded as she was completely serious about what she said. Isaac had a determination when he worked on his art – one she did not see very often in other cases with him – and that made Emi believe 100% that either way he would have done greatly. ”Oh really!!? That's lovely!” she said, lighting up again in another huge smile and she clapped her little hands enthusiastically. ”Chess is going to be so happy about that!” again, not one selfish thought seemed to pop op in Emi's head. She was more happy for Chess than for herself. She loved the picture, and appreciated being shown on canvas at his great show, but Chess was more important. ”Yeah, yeah, you're secret is safe with me.” she giggled and nodded. It would be a fantastic surprise. ”Have you finished all of your paintings completely?”
