The laughter of little children and the giant aquariums filled the giant building. The glow from the lights started to really annoy her. She meant, why couldn't the people who worked at the stupid aquarium put covers over those? The rooms were pretty much dark, besides the glow of the water, parents taking pictures with their phone, and the lights. It didn't mind her though, she loved coming to see the aquatic animals. But the bad part was because she was so short and how many people actually came to the place, she could barely see over heads. Stupid being so short for only being twenty...She sighed and had to push up to the front of the crowd with the dancing little kids and the others who have their face smooshed up to the glass, watching the little dolphins play with a stick or something the trainers gave them. She smiled down at the kids surrounding her and pulling at her boots. They were so cute, sometimes made her think if she would of kept her baby. What would it be? Who would be there for his or her father figure? It teared the girl up a bit, knowing that she did that to an innocent little child.

Mason quickly wiped away her tears and watched the little baby dolphins play with the stick. It was actually cute seeing them play. She turned her head over to the side, and noticed a couple holding hands. They were old, but they were insanely cute together. Would she ever find that Prince Charming and turn out like those folks over there? She might, but for now her focus was mostly on school....and some boys. Mason started walking away until she felt a little hand go onto her leg and tap it. She looked down to see a little blonde girl looking up to her like Mason was the sun and she was the blind person. Mason tilted her head to the side and bent down a little to hear the little girl speak. "Excuse me Miss...But I have a question. Do dolphins like those know were watching them or are they blind?" She asked rather cutely and smiled up at Mason with a toothy grin. She had her two front teeth missing, which was even more cuter because of the fact that she sounded like she had a lisp. Do dolphins know that? Why was that girl asking her? Ohh, Maybe because of her age and such...she thought Mason was a worker there. Mason then blinked and smiled down at the girl. "Well, from what I know from College and such, They can see and they know your there. Dolphins are insanely smart, so they'll remember what you look like every time you come back here. Who knows, maybe the baby dolphins will remember you sweetheart." She smiled, tapping the little girl's nose and watched her running away giggling to her mother. Man, if only she had saved her baby...

She moved away from the dolphins and such and looked at a tank that was filled with exotic fishes and plants. Mason stopped for a quick break and blinked quickly, noting that there was a starfish stuck to the glass. It kinda looked like a messed up heart, but then again it was a starfish. It made her think a lot about people in her life so far. There was Caine...the adorable druggie who she had a crush on. What was he doing right about now? She bit her lip and grabbed her Chocolate Touch out of her pocket and scrolled through her 289 contacts until she found him under "The sexiest thing known to man; Caine.". He stole her phone, she never actually put that! He did! And then when she grabbed his phone, she put for her name "Caine's Future Baby Momma." It was funny because he actually kept it. She smiled at the flashbacks and sent a text to him. "Get your sexy butt over to the aquarium now. I need some Caine lovin'. It's my drug.<33" And send. The little "Wooooosshhh!" could be heard from her phone. She slipped it back into her ugg boot and looked up at the starfish. It was weird, because it really looked like a heart now. And her mind wasn't playing tricks because she had just texted Caine...well at least she hoped.

What was Caine doing anyways? Would he even come to the aquarium, or was it too uncool for him? He had this badass to him, but he really could be the sweetest person you will ever meet. That was what made her fall for him. He didn't know of course, well she didn't think he knew anyways. But, she wanted to tell him so badly. What would his reaction be if she said anything? Maybe she should keep her mouth shut, at least for now, anyway. Mason then fixed her strap to her shirt and walked into a darker room with clown fish and little blue fishes. She smiled. It looked like Nemo and Dory! And they even had the coral thing that Nemo had to take a bath in! A small giggle escaped her lips as she noticed that. She then covered her eyes and pressed her face against the glass, looking at one of the smaller clown fish. It had a giant fin, then the other was extremely small. It really was nemo! She started laughing loudly, and she didn't care. Nobody was around to stare, so it was her chance to let her voice out.

Caine lifted his head up, his eyes opened as if he had been hibernating and he took a second to remember that he was sitting on his couch. What time was it? Fuck if he knew. Caine blearily looked at the vibrating square that was his phone, it vibrated and moved around on the table next to the couch. He picked it up and saw text messages, quite a few of them. How long had he been out? Caine scrolled threw a few messages, catching the last one because of the catchy title "Caine's Future Baby Mama". God forbid that actually happened, not because it Mason but because he was a full out junkie that refused help and basically was on this self-destructive suicidal path to hell anyway, no need to traumatize a child with that notion. Look what happened to Caine, or you could look at his brother and wonder what the hell. For being the black sheep of the family, he got along remarkably well with his other brother and sister. Caine responded to the message, though he really didn't feel like moving. The aquarium? Who the hell went there? The last time Caine had been there was to pick up. Shrugging to himself he replied, You got it ;). Caine put his phone back on the table and ran his hands over his eyes and into his messy hair. It was cold in here, since when did he blast the AC?

His jacket was on the otherwise of the couch and he wore a sleeveless tee, easier access. Standing up he made sure he had his balance, often enough he would fall over after different combinations but this one had been simple enough. Mason was a nice girl, about twenty and Caine could sense that though she played young she wasn't at all. From somebody who had to grow up fast himself he could tell, but figured he'd get some sob story eventually, he wasn't keen on prying it out. That tactic didn't work well with girls, they always cried and whatever. Caine put on a fresh t-shirt and after passing a mirror he splashed some water on his face to combat the slightly paleness he was carrying. Sunglasses would help hide his dazed and dull eyes, but his pupils weren't small anymore, that was good. One thing he did notice was that he was exhausted, there was a difference between actually sleeping and knocking yourself out, he preferred the latter. Caine grabbed his phone and wallet and headed out the door.

Before he knew it he was at the aquarium, the brightness of the water and the glass was enough excuse to leave his sun glasses on. There were a few people here, not the one that had requested his presence though. They were an odd pair, she was a good kid who probably wanted a lot out of life. He was a nobody who would rather die young. But, Caine liked her company since she was easy to talk to, though she hadn't been to those deep dark places in Caine's mind where his true secrets were held and he wasn't in a hurry to get her there. They were just friends and he liked it that way. Caine pulled out his phone, Where you at??? I'm by the dolphins. Caine put his phone back in his pocket and sat watching these giant fish play together like brother and sister or like a couple or something. Caine sighed as he watched these animals be happy and probably love. The last girl he had truly loved had dumped him and he didn't remember the last time he had felt such pain. There were so many things he missed about her, her smell, her humor, her cuddling up against him. But, that was a over and he knew that he had to forget about it and move on but even ripping a band aid off fast still stung. Caine waited for Mason, not wanting to get lost in here.
