[/size][/blockquote]Today was nothing but a disappointment for miss Jack Mars. Classes starting not long ago, she was trying to adjust to the busy life style of studying and maintaining the grade. Those sports scholarships aren't going to keep giving you money if you aren't doing well in classes. It wasn't that Jack wasn't use to the discipline it took to do the work because she is very disciplined with her sports and keeping in shape. It was more of an annoying time comittiment than anything else, specifically because Jack knew she wasn't the brightest. She always had to try harder than everyone else in everything. Except for one class, that is. Jack was a music major, which steamed from her love for singing. She loved every aspect of music so she was always doing best in those classes. That was until today when she went to her second class of the term. There was a certain student in her class that Jack didn't particularly like, and just her luck the first assignment was a collaboration project. As if things couldn't get any worse the professor paired them up and he was paired up with her. Jack almost wanted to puke at the thought, but sucked it up. She was in advanced music composition, he had to be worth something musically if he was there to.
When they chatted very briefly after class Jack told him to meet her in the empty lecture room today so they could get this done and over with as quick as possible. Not to mention she hated procrastinating on things. Thinking back to the conversation now Jack realized that it probably wasn't the best way to approach her new partner for an important first grade. She was kind of hostile, but what do you expect? Jack and Chester never exactly saw eye to eye for the few times they were forced to interact. Jack tried her best to avoid him at all costs, but it looks like all her efforts were meaningless. Making her way through the halls with a small shoulder bag that had a few music - creating essentials in it. She had her arms crossed, a small chill sweeping it's way through the halls as the red head turned into the empty classroom, finding a seat in the back of the room.
She got comfortable in her seat, putting her feet up on the chair in front of her as she waited for her guest. The room she picked was one that had a lot of instruments and tools in it. Jack bought a metronome, notepad and a notebook full of blank staffs with her, but there was clearly no need for them. This room had everything in it that they could need, it was almost a waist for Jack to use her own supplies. Thinking to the assignment Jack was wondering how they were going to pull this off.It was due in a week, and given the circumstances she had a feeling this wasn't going to be as easy as she hoped. The two music partners or to reconstruct a song written by a famous musical duo in music history. It's simply to be a cover, but apparently this entire semester was going to be about collaborating with other artists and how important it was to see other styles of music blah blah blah. Jack supposed it was important, but that didn't mean she wanted to do it. Her arms crossed over her chest Jack gave a scowl as she looked out the window hoping this god-fearing fool would get here soon.
