I’VE LEARNED TO TALK WITH MY FINGERS THE ONLY VOICE THAT WAKES MY EARS
• • • • • • • • • Jordan had known that Emi was going to correct him, or rather claim that most of the time he was incorrect, inferring that she was the one who was always correct. He scoffed playfully, rolling his hazel eyes towards the sky just as he tried to keep a small delighted grin from pulling at his face. “I guess that you’re right, I mean you are so smart and stuff.” He loved it when people used terms like: babe, sweetheart, love, hottie, etcetera. Any sort of endearment that was directed towards him was generally well received by the boy. Jordan liked to know that he was being appreciated, even if it did come in the form of something like ‘babe’ or even ‘hottie’. Though terms like that didn’t come close to delighting Jordan as being called handsome, though he didn’t typically look handsome. It was just the memories that came with being called handsome, his mother, would often call him her handsome little boy. If he recalled correctly that was the highest praise he had ever received from his mother, now he rarely ever spoke to the woman. Just as well, any term reinforced the fact that someone out there actually care enough about him to use some sort of pet name. Jordan shook his head, making his classic annoyed face that the girl apparently loved so much at her second statement. “Emi, thats quite annoying of you, saying all these things and hurting my feelings and such.” he stated in a sniveling tone of voice before letting it trail into laughter.
Jordan looked at her skeptically, not entirely convinced by her shoulder shrugging. He knew that sometimes the girl would over work herself and strain her muscles just a bit too much, resulting in her being sore. He was just worried that one day she was going to over do it to an extent where she pulled, or god forbid, tore a muscle or something as equally disastrous. If that ever happened he would dote on the girl hand and foot until she was better.”Hmm, well then you need to be more careful m’dear, can have you running around and potentially hurting yourself.” he commented while nodding, reinforcing his concern. A small devious smirk pulled at his lip, “a massage eh? Maybe later, where we have a little more privacy, just incase things escalate.” he joked with a wink. He nodded at her statement, a small smile on his lips. “ I know, I just worry, you know me, bit of a worry wort I am.” he said in reply to her statement. A bright smile followed as she laughed and offered up what he interpreted to be a half serious, half joking look; she was quite good at those. That was another reason why he was quite fond of the girl, she always knew when there was a little truth behind the joke, which kept things from being awkward all the while the two were still able to say that they loved each other.
“Hah!” he shot out in an instant reaction to her statement, a grin growing steadily on his lips. “You know something, sweet Emi,” he stated after a few moments of regarding her snooty attitude. “You make an awfully convincing stuck up bitch, you must have been one in a former life or something.” he continued. “Or perhaps you’re actually a snooty little princess that only pretends to be one of the most awesome people in the world.” he teased, a playful twinkle in his hazel eyes. Once again Jordan found himself rolling his eyes at her statement, a grin of his own turning his lips up. “I’ll figure out this listening thing eventually, especially since its concerns you, princess.” he replied, his grin now full blown on his face. Jordan raised an eyebrow as she started to speak again, her words confusing him slightly before hearing the rest of her thought. “Oh.” he stated while turning his gaze to the girls that Emi had pointed out. It appeared that as soon as he focused his attention on the gushing girls they pretended to be deep in conversation, as if they had not just been checking him out, he laughed lightly before turning his attention back to Emi.”why thank you babe, I am aren’t I?” he asked rhetorically, a playfully, yet slightly arrogant smirk on his lips. “Though I didn’t even notice until you pointed it out, I was too busy focusing on the prettiest girl in this whole shop.” he added, his gaze now holding hers as a truthful smile grew across his lips. As far as he was concerned Emi was the prettiest girl in this place and he’d be damned if he wasn’t going to give her his undivided attention.
Jordan raked his hands through his hair, letting it fall haphazardly into place as he moved his gaze to anywhere but Emi. The whole thunderstorm topic was a delicate one when it came to Jordan, just thinking about them could easily sway his mood many different ways. Sometimes he’d just become rather embarrassed, other times he’d get a little edgy and abruptly change the subject, which sometimes then made him a little angry. Though most of the time he became sad for the reason that it brought up the unpleasant memories that came with the storms. He knew it wasn’t his fault that his first serious girlfriend had died, well at least it wasn’t directly his fault. Though he knew that he was indirectly responsible because if he hadn’t been drunk then he could have driven himself home and she wouldn’t have had to come out into the storm at all. Her voice brought him back to reality sharply enough to cause him to reach for the owl necklace to sooth himself. He nodded slowly as a relieved smile curved his lips up, “thanks Emi.” he stated simply. He couldn’t articulate how much her saying that actually meant to him, she was one of the few that knew and so far she was the only one who didn’t laugh at him and tell him to grow the fuck up.
Jordan relaxed into the chair, feeling himself go back to ease as he watched the girl. He sighed dramatically, “yeah, that is a bit of conundrum isn’t it?” he commented while stroking his chin thoughtfully. “You can always try to fight the greater powers though, y’know cuz you love me so much and stuff.” he said with a nod. He laughed as she moved like she was going to leave, “pft, so much for loving me so much and trying to fight the greater powers.” he joked, obviously know that she would be sitting back down. “Good thing your lazy, or I’d be left to defend myself from death all by my lonesome.” he stated, a grin matching her curving his lips.
Jordan regarded her carefully, not entirely certain, even though her tone was teasing, how exactly she meant for that statement to come across. Jordan was convinced that she could just get up and drag him away and cuff him to a bed at any moment, but it was not that likely, given the playful nature of their relationship; even if they flirted with each other from time to time. “Hmm, well then maybe I’ll save that challenge for a rainy day.” he said, a playfully smirk on his lips. Jordan grinned around a mouthful of chocolate ice cream as she wiggled her eyebrows at him. “I’m sure if I really wanted to know I could find out, I mean, I’m not claiming to be the smoothest guy out there, but I’ve got a few tricks up my sleeve and them be challenging words.” he commented before taking another bite of his ice cream. “It seems like we’re going to have one hell of a rainy day sometime soon.” he added as an afterthought as he observed the redhead, a small smile on his lips at her odd ice cream combination.

Teenage dreams in a teenage circusRunning around like a clown on purpose - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - She smiled brightly when he accepted the fact that he was not correct all the time and she was. Playfully and probably ironically too, but Emi didn't mind all that much. He had said she was right and smart and all so she chose just to hear his words; not so much the playful tone behind them. In fact, she was a really smart girl. Not so much in scientific matters but the rest she did fine. Especially in school she was a quick learner. She just didn't brag too much about it – hardly ever. ”Yes, that I am! Thank you for noticing, my love” she said and shot her chest forward and chin upwards to look really proud of herself. She let out a laughter and that made her fall back to her usual posture. Like casually straight back and face in a normal position instead. The warm teasing twinkle in her eyes never left and she didn't really let go of his pretty eyes. She could look into those eyes for hours and still be fascinated with those beautiful hazel eyes. She tilted her hear ever so slightly to the side while locking gazes with him without staring. She ran a hand thoughtfully through her bright red hair before finally forcing her gaze in another direction. She wouldn't want to make it all awkward by looking into his eye for too long. ”Awe! Sweet Jordan! I wasn't trying to hurt your feelings. I'm so sorry” she said behind a giggle, when he complained about being treated the way he was. He did that lovely face once more and that just dragged the giggle right out of her. They really were very childish the two of them. But why should they be any different when they both enjoyed acting like that around each other? After all, there was no one else to act like that with anywhere near this place.
She arched an eyebrow, when he looked at her with that skepticism painted in his face. Yeah, she was used to him reacting like than, when she got herself hurt – even when it was something as small as this. But nonetheless it wasn't like he needed to worry. She – usually – knew where her boundaries were. But she got so stubborn at times and refused to stop in time because she wanted to do what she could before – back when she did aerial acrobatics for hours and hours in the circus. Back then, there wasn't anything that could distract her from it. She knew that she probably could get hurt worse with all that stubbornness of hers so maybe his worries were well-reasoned after all. She let out a sigh and nodded to him. ”You're right.. I'm getting too careless. Maybe I should just drag you along so you can look out for me” she was very serious about that first part but turned into some sort of joke to ease his mind lastly. She really didn't want to concern him unnecessarily. ”Do you plan on having a massage escalating, hon'?” she asked him teasingly and wiggled her eyebrows unpredictably before smiling to herself and shaking her head. ”I actually like that you worry.. Just don't die from that, please” she asked of him with a smile.
When he started out with the 'you know something, sweet Emi' she moved a bit forward, leaning her elbows against the table and her cheek on the hands. She angled her head and looked at him with curious warm orange-brown eyes and the long black eyelashes bashing gently a few times so she looked terribly cute instead of stuck up, when he told her how well a bitch she made. Then she opened her mouth for a few seconds looking awfully insulted by his words. ”Jesus Christ! If you think that about me, I might as well just walk away” she said as if she was very hurt and she sniffled dramatically, before placing a hand in front of her eyes. Yes, she really seemed like it had hurt her very much, what he had said. However, it wasn't the case. She was playing around as always. Then her mouth curled together in a tiny smile as she let her hand fall down on the table and she looked at him with that cheerful gaze. ”I am a princess and I AM the most awesome person in the world. You come second on that list” she said while watching him with rogue all over her face. She liked him calling her princess, and it was pretty easy to see on the way her eyes lit up, when he said it. Her father had called her 'his little princess' so many times during her upbringing and it woke some sort of heat and joy to hear again. She felt safe when being called princess. She looked back at the girls who looked at him with love painted in their eyes as soon as he turned away from them again. Emi figured that they were talking right now about that he had been looking at them!! A great sensation for two young girls around the age 15. Real teenage-stuff. ”Oh yes you are! You are such a pretty little boy” she said; voice like she was talking to a little baby instead of a man his age. She even reached out and pinched his chin lightly in tease before winking and drawing back to her own spot instead. With his next words said truthfully he in fact made her blush! A thing she usually never did! She looked down for a moment and smiled to herself before shrugging and locking gazes with him again for a moment. Then she looked over both her shoulders. ”What girl are we talking about? The one with the braces? Or the one in the corner” she asked to avoid getting all sentimental. She wasn't seen as very pretty that often. She hardly was any guys type, so it came as some sort of shock to hear his words.
She could see that it pained him to talk of the thunderstorms and she figured it was part of that painful memory he never really wanted to talk about. She did every once in a while try to find out more about that thing from his past. She hadn't got to know a lot yet and she never ever wanted to force him into talking if it made him too uncomfortable. She wanted him to tell her it all because he trusted her and felt safe enough around her. He seemed to distance himself a bit again and she got really relieved when he came back to her again. She stroked his hand gently with her thumb as she looked into his eye. Then she let it all go again so he wouldn't feel forced into staying at that sad-ish point.
She laughed softly when he talked about the conundrum of the greater powers and death out to get him and how she could fight them because she loved him and all. ”Look, darling, it's a bad idea to convince me into staying here with you. Isn't it a bit selfish to drag me with you into death because you don't want to be all alone? Unless we of course get to spend forever in heaven together.. That I really wouldn't mind all that much” she said thoughtfully while spinning a lock of hair around her fingers.
Her eyes lit up with tease when he looked ever so weird as if he couldn't quite find out what to do or think of her words and comments. And in all honesty she did consider taking advantage of it but decided to – like him – save it for a rainy day. She laughed and nodded a few times. ”I'm sure you have! But I usually don't fall for tricks, y'know? So you better bring your A-game” she winked teasingly and focused on her ice cream for a few seconds really enjoyed the lovely mix of tastes. Most people would have a hard time seeing why those two things were so great with each other – but she had this concept: Don't deny something before you've tried it. ”Yeah.. They say so in the weather reports too. I bet there'll be thunder and lightning too” she added with a shiver and goosebumps running over her fair and soft skin.

I’VE LEARNED TO TALK WITH MY FINGERS THE ONLY VOICE THAT WAKES MY EARS
• • • • • • • • • Jordan couldn’t help but smile back when he saw the smile that stretched across Emi’s pink lips, it was inspiring. It was sometimes amazing how much the girl actually smiled and how genuine all of her smiles were. In all honesty his day could be turned around if he was on the receiving end of one of her brilliant smiles and for that he was thankful that he had gone above the petty school verses school fight and befriended the redhead. It was most definitely worth his while and he had yet come to regret his choice, even if some of his friends are less than supportive of his friendship with the girl. So far he hadn’t really found any major harm in it because it wasn’t like someone from her school was lurking around the corner waiting to jump him or something as equally stupid. A light bout of laughter fell from his lips as she sat up all proudly and beamed at him, “well you’re welcome then.” he commented, a grin on his lips. Jordan allowed his grin to widen into a smile as the girl held his gaze for a moment with her sparkling eyes, yet another admirable quality. He loved it when a girl had the courage to look him in the eyes while having a conversation with him, instead of holding his gaze for a few seconds and then looking away shyly. He loved the confidence on Emi, just like he loved her brilliant smile and eyes that always seemed to sparkle with something. At that thought he pursed his lips for a moment, he would have to ask her if he could draw her one day, she just had something about her that he wanted to try and capture on paper. He waved his hand at her giggling apology, rolling his eyes slightly. “Of course you are Emi, always sorry for this and that.” the boy commented through a teasing grin, obviously joking right along side the girl.
The boy nodded firmly as she agreed with him on a serious note, for what seemed like the first time today. “I don’t know what good I would be, I’d probably worry every time you did something, even if it is the easiest thing in the world.” he stated, a small smile pulling at his lips to show that he was reigning in his worry. It was almost a rare thing when the two hung out, generally it was all jokes and teasing and just the two of them laughing and drawing a lot of attention. Though they did have their serious moments from time to time, their little heart to hearts, where he felt a lot closer to her than he had anyone in a long time. Even then though, most of what they said ended in some sort of joke, not that he minded of course. If they had great chemistry together when being playful and joking around and yet they could still have their serious moments, why should he try to change anything about their relationship to try and be ‘normal’, as some people called it. Apparently joking all the time wasn’t normal and they needed to have more serious conversations, he figured screw that. Serious conversations, especially when they’re forced on put unnecessary tension on a relationship, which he figured is something that Emi also agreed with or else there could have been many times where one of them was pushed into talking about their feelings or other sappy things. “Maybe.” he stated slyly while sending a wink in her direction. He laughed at her next statement, “okay, I promise to stay alive and continue to worry about you.” he said, a small reassuring smile on his lips.
As she leaned forward he couldn’t help but be captivated by the way she could instantly switch her persona, for lack of a better word. One moment she looked like a stuck up bitch and then the next she looked so adorable that he just wanted her to stay that way so he could admire her forever. Of course just as soon as she was batting her eyelashes at him she began to look incredibly insulted at his words before turning to look hurt. Through her transitions he sat back, amazed at how well she could capture a look and portray it so well. “Aww Emi, I’m sorry I didn’t mean it, what can I do to make it up to you?” he said while he watched her cover her eyes, a small smile playing at his lips. He was fairly certain that this was just a joke, but he felt it better to apologize anyway. His smile widened as she finally broke out of the sad, dejected look and brought back the familiar cheery gaze that he was fond of. “See Emi, we have this little saying in English, you get to be right-I get peace.” he stated happily as he smiled at her. Jordan wrinkled his noes as she talked to him like he was some adolescent boy, she even pinched him like he was some boy. “I prefer handsome little boy, thank you very much, pretty is to feminine.” he replied while turning his head indignantly, trying to hide the small grin on his face. He raised an eyebrow at the girl, was she blushing? It certainly looked like it, which caused him to smirk triumphantly, until she asked if it was the one with the braces or the other girl. “You’re a bit of a smartass eh?” he teased while shaking his head softly. “And just so you know, I was talking about the one with the vibrant red hair.” he added on with a wink, trying to get another blush from her; she looked absolutely pretty when she blushed.
Jordan offered her a small thankful smile as she stroked his hand, as small as the gesture was, it was infinitely great. He was glad she knew when to keep her questions to herself and wait until he was ready to talk about it, just another reason why he loved the girl. He grinned brightly as she spoke, nodding along with her words. “If it means having you all to myself for the rest of forever, where ever that may be, then I will be quite selfish.” he stated. “So it’s a good thing you wouldn’t mind.” he added as an after thought, a smile still on his lips.
The boy could only grin as she told him to bring his A-game, it was the only game he ever had really. If he really wanted something he went the full nine-yards, doing almost anything and everything in his power to get what he wanted. “Babe, I always bring my A-game, don’t even worry.” he responded with a small wink before taking another bite of his fast melting ice cream, apparently he had a higher body temperature than most people; his ice cream always seemed to melt faster than anyone elses. Jordan turned his gaze to the outside as she spoke about thunderstorms, as far as he could tell it looked clear out. “Psh, the weather guy always lies, doesn’t know what he’s talking about.” he commented around a mouthful of ice cream. “But if thats the case you better come find me asap, gotta have my cuddle buddy.” he added with a small worried smile, he was all ready dreading the impending thunderstorm.

Teenage dreams in a teenage circusRunning around like a clown on purpose - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - In all her royalty Emi did a magnificent sitting bow for him and wiggled her eyebrows at him a few times while giggling in her sweetest manner with both hands over her mouth and her eyes gently squeezed together as she looked at him. ”I know, I am” she finally got herself together enough to say but the giggly, cheery look in her eyes never left. She watched him as he just looked pleased with the fact that she was looking into his gorgeous eyes. That was just awesome! Some people turned all awkward and unsecure whenever she locked gazes with them. But not Jordan. He was confident enough with himself that he didn't mind looking right back into her big, beautiful Bambi eyes. A quality she liked in other friends – especially the ones who was as close to her as Jordan. It was funny, really. She had a fair amount of friends on her own school but she had found her closest friend yet on Luxford! Luckily she didn't care what school one went to. It didn't make the person according to her. And Jordan was the exact opposite of the image Luxford had: Stuck up young people born with golden spoons in their asses.. She wasn't quite sure if that expression existed in English.. but that was the Danish words for being born with a hell of a lot of money. She left her trail of thoughts when he said she was sorry about this and that. An arched eyebrow was to be noticed in her face as she watched him with 'WARNING' written in her eyes. She held her hands on the hips and made some sort of 'pffshs'-sound as if she was highly insulted by his comment. ”Am not! You...... racist!” she stated and burst into laughter and shook her head. Saying what he had said had absolutely nothing with being racistic to do and therefore the random nickname was totally awesome in her ears.
A wave of joy washed through her when he kept on worrying and all. It really felt better than it should be allowed! And it was all serious which made it feel even better than if it had been kept in joke. ”If you'd worry all the time, I'd be more careful in all my exercises. You would be a great help.. But I don't think you'd be able to wake up and all at 5 or 6 AM every morning” she said. The first part of it in that lovely serious tone and the next part half jokingly. Most of the times they had had sleepover he would still be asleep when she got back from her hours or else she'd just procrastinate it to the evening and sleep in like him. She wasn't sure if he in general was the type for sleeping 'till noon or if it was only because she got him all tired and busted. She was the kind of person to keep her friends up all night to watch movies or do crazy things. ”Yaaaaaay!” she bursted out and grinned all over the face in joy. She tilted her head a bit to the side ”I'm glad you'll continue worrying without dying. That way I can keep on teasing you and still feel cared for” she giggled joyfully and moved in her chair when her energylevels just got a bit too high for her to sit in the same position as she had for a while. She sat there end then rolled her shoulders a tiny bit to get the soreness from the lower part of her sore neck. It wouldn't really stop bugging her, and it annoyed her quite a lot. She tried to be as discrete as possibly to avoid him getting too worried and all.
She laughed softly when he actually apologized with a smile on his lips – as if he didn't know if she was serious or not. Maybe she should go for a theatercareer or something instead of the aerial acrobat thing? She probably would be good at it. She wouldn't though. People in theaters usually wanted one stereotypical kind of girl. The girl with the long blonde or brown hair, skinny and tall and without tattoos and piercings. - A stereotype Emi certainly did not fit under and most definitely would never do so. She would forever be the little farly short girl with bright red hair in different lengths, piercings all over her face and tattoos over her shoulders and on the hips. She had two swallows there. One on each side for good luck. She had gotten those the first day she got here because she needed some sort of good luck charm to give her courage to start all over again. Some said the swallows mean fertility too – which she really would not mind. She had plans of getting a familiy one day – when she was with the right guy of course. She wasn't just about to hurry into something as big as that. She wanted to find the guy for her firstly. Someone who'd love her unconditionally and completely. Someone trustworthy and lastly – someone to joke around with as much as she needed. The hardest part was to find someone who'd love her that much. But once she had him she hoped to have children one day. Preferably 2 or 3. One was too little and four were too much. She smiled at him and shook her head lightly. ”That English saying sucks! It should be: You get to be right. Period” she stated with a teasing look in her eyes. She laughed when he corrected her nickname for him. ”but sweet Darling! You could might as well be a girl” she joked with that tease written all over her face as she kissed his cheek. And then he made her blush just like that again! How the hell he managed to do so was such a surprise to her. ”Jordan! Leave it !” she begged while turning her head entirely to the side to hide away the red on her chins. She even placed her hands on top of them. ”You're not being fair right now” she mumbled and dropped her hands when the heat in her chins finally left.
Wow! Three times blushing on one day. That must have been a new – annoying – record for her and Jordan. When he stated that he would be selfish if he got to have her all to himself for the rest of forever. ”Jeez, Jordan!” she said sighing before finally just accepting it and leaning back in her chair. ”You're too sweet” she stated with that warm gaze. ”And I wouldn't mind, no” she messed up her hair and felt like a bit of a fool from feeling of a rush going through her stomach. It was silly, really.
She finally let out a laughter when he claimed to always bring his A-game. And some way she didn't have a hard time believing that about him. With the times they had been flirting around slightly she had seen pinch of that charming side of him and even that little bit of charm made her pretty sure he could seduce a girl out of her panties in just a few moments. ”Of course you do” she said ironically and teasingly to him even though she did believe him. She wasn't going to let him have his way just like that. Whenever he was talking she spooned up ice cream that melted on her tongue. Soon there was nothing left and she pushed the cup away. ”Oh no! I can't believe someone as trustworthy as him would lie ! We should sue” she stated with a giggle and shrugged. ”I will be there in less than a second. Don't you even think about that” she reassured him, watching his worried facial expression carefully.
A few people were passing closely – yes, they were almost bumping into Emi and Jordan because of a bunch of jocks by the next table. Jocks didn't really like when the 'geeks' or the 'freaks' came by so they would push 'em around and yell cocky – even evil – comments after them. In the moment those assholes did it here, Emi sent them quite the murderous gaze with her eyes. Hopefully, before any of the big tough guys saw anything she turned in her chair so they couldn't see the facial expression she was making. If was a great mix of.. no, it was plain pissed. Her lips pressed tightly together and her eyes scowling for a few seconds as she got herself together. Emi was a girl with a temper. It wasn't often it showed it's face and it was not easily triggered... But childish unjustice like this was one of the things she hated very very much. ”Assholes” she muttered under her breath and finally got a hold of herself, so she could straighten up and run her hands through the hair to calm herself just a bit more. Finally a little smile pulled the corners of her lips up as she looked back into Jordan's eyes. ”Should we find somewhere else before I bite someone's head off?” she offered with a glimpse in her eyes to assure him that she wasn't going to do so at all; even if the expression she had managed to pull off before seemed very much like it. No, what she could do was get up and yell atA them and given the circumstances – that probably wasn't the best of ideas. And it was people from Luxford so she figured it could put Jordan into some sort of trouble later. And that she wasn't about to.

I’VE LEARNED TO TALK WITH MY FINGERS THE ONLY VOICE THAT WAKES MY EARS
• • • • • • • • • Jordan continued to smile at Emi, delighted by her silly actions. A person that talked with their hands as much as they did with their mouth was always a treat, it just seemed to make the conversation that much better. The girl before him never ceased to amaze him, even though he felt like he had been friends with her since he was just a little tyke running around in a diaper, he seemed to learn something new about the girl every day. Those were the types of people that Jordan liked to surround himself with, he loved the idea that he would never fully know about someone and that there would always be something unexpected to keep the relationship interesting. Not that there was anything wrong with having someone that appeared to be the same day in and day out, but it was just refreshing to know that every day one was going to learn about another awesome attribute. That’s how Jordan found it to be with Emi, he knew that the girl was vivacious, delightful company, passionate in her own right, funny, talented, charismatic, the list went on and on in his mind. Every day he seemed to note another character trait that made him understand her just a little bit more, which he couldn’t say the same for some of the people that he knew. Maybe it was just because of the stereotypes that followed the individual schools and their students, but thus far he’s met more interesting Balston kids then he had Luxford kids, so what does that really say? Apparently that he preferred Balston over Luxford people, but then again some Luxford kids weren’t that bad, like himself. Just like some Balston kids weren’t bad, like Emi, who was now shooting him a look. He feigned innocence, a boyish smile and a playful twinkle glinting in his eyes. Both of his eyebrows shot up at her accusiation before he joined in with her laughter. “first of all irrelevant to the conversation, second of all its not racists if I hate everyone equally.” He grinned, pausing for a moment. “just kidding, I love everybody, hugs and kisses for all.” He said through another laugh.
The brunette began to nod along with the girl, glad that she was listening to him, but paused and looked at her incredulously as she mentioned the time commitment. “Oh jeez, that early eh?” he stated while shaking his head. “I don’t know if I would be capable of that, you might be on your own sweetheart.” He continued, a small grin on his lips. “I’d probably drop dead from exhaustion.” he finished through a laugh at the fact that death did seem to follow him around. Truth be told if she really wanted him to come with her he would get up at five or six am every day, no matter how tired it would make him. He did not need to sleep in he just preferred it, always gave him lots of energy for the day to come, especially if he was going to be with Emi. Out of all the times that they’d had sleepovers she just kept going and going and going, like the energizer bunny. The girl had an unfathomable amount of energy, that he would admit, sometimes tired him out. More often than not though he loved it and always tried to show her the same amount of energy. Jordan smiled back at the redhead. “Yeah, I wouldn’t miss you teasing me for the world, I mean I need someone to keep me level headed and such.” He said, his tone just this side of sarcastic. He shook his head, amused as the girl fidgeted around in her chair, apparently she was getting restless, or maybe she was still sore. Either way he was going to watch her carefully, to see if she really did need a massage to work out the tension in her muscles before she got back to her training.
Jordan raised an eyebrow to her laugh, clearly she had known that he knew she was just being the dramatic girl he come to love. He actually wondered sometimes why she hadn’t taken up any sort of drama classes, or been in any of the clubs that centered on acting and such. Perhaps she just enjoyed playing around with friends and anything more would take all the fun out of acting silly. Or maybe she simply wasn’t interested in that type of thing; after all she had her whole aerial acrobatics to keep her busy. Jordan was pulled from his thoughts as the girl spoke, instantly causing a grin to spread across his lips.
“Psh, don’t go saying our sayings suck, you don’t see me going around saying your Danish sayings suck, now do you?” he scolded playfully, wagging his finger at her slightly. Jordan looked at her with a warning look of his own, repaying her for earlier as she made her comment about him being like a girl. The kiss to his cheek was unexpected and almost distracted him enough from rebutting her statement, but he needed to defend his manliness. The boy huffed playfully, sticking out his chest and squaring his shoulders as if that would make him look manlier instead of feminine. “well I resent that, I think I look much more like a boy than a girl, plus I sound like a boy.” He stated while nodding, trying to keep the amusement out of his voice. He held that pose for a brief moment before deflating back into his seat, his shoulders hunched slightly as he slumped back against his chair. He let out a bout of laughter as the girl told him to leave it, “aww Emi, don’t be embarrassed, pink is a very lovely colour on you.” He said smiling as he watched hide her cheeks; a sure sign that she was nervous or something to that effect. That thought that he made her nervous was…different. The two had always playfully flirted with one another, but this time there was just a little bit more seriousness to it and he would only admit it to himself, but he kinda liked it. He chuckled softly as she finally seemed to accept what just happened, he waved her next statement off, though it did bring a bright smile to his lips. “aww shucks Emi, keep it up and you might make me blush.” He stated as he watched her ruffle her hair. “adorable.” He murmured more to himself, not taking his gaze from the girl.
Jordan scoffed playfully, waving off her teasing statement before taking one of the final bites of his ice cream; a fair amount had turned to a lumpy soup like liquid. “just you wait Emi, one day you’ll believe me.” He joked while shaking his head. He supposed that if he really wanted he could further try to prove that he could seduce the girl, dropping ridiculous lines and shooting her complements every few minutes or so, except it would be fake and forced; something he was not a fan of. He’d rather actually just wait for moments where he could slip in complements that could be taken as a part of a joke or seriously, like a few moments ago when he called her the prettiest girl around, it was the truth so it just came naturally, fitting in perfectly to the conversation. He took another bite of his ice cream as she commented on the weather man, he nodded in agreement. “damn straight. Guy won’t know what hit him.” He joked. Jordan smiled at her reassurance, completely believing the girl. “good, good.” He stated with a firm nod, glad that he now had Emi to be with during the future storms.
Jordan had barely noticed the increasing traffic, until someone had actually bumped into his chair, jostling him slightly. He shot the person a look, which was ignored with the roll of a pair of eyes, eliciting a scoff from the boy. People could be so rude. Jordan flicked his gaze back to Emi, only to notice that she was apparently quite pissed with the recent traffic, most likely due to the nature of the new cliental; Luxford jocks. He laughed quietly, it was a rare sight to see the girl angry, but he would not want to be on the receiving end of the looks she just shot the jocks; after all hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Jordan raised an eyebrow as he heard her mutter, a small grin now playing on his lips. ”Oh Emi, try not to let those Neanderthals bother you.” He stated, emphasizing Neanderthals just loud enough for the boys at the neighboring table to hear him, and to shoot him a dirty look. He waved at them, a big grin on his face before turning his gaze back to Emi as she spoke. He shrugged his shoulders, generally he didn’t let many people influence what he did, especially if it meant a couple of jocks making him leave due to their often rude comments, but if Emi wanted to leave then he would. “Sure, if you’d like babe.” He stated with a nod as he moved to get up, gather his things before turning back to Emi. “Though I wouldn’t mind seeing you bitch those guys out, they could probably use a good verbal ass kicking.” He stated through a chuckle, yet again loud enough to cause a few of the boys to mutter unintelligible, no doubt, foul things about both Jordan and Emi. He didn’t care, they could talk shit about him all they wanted, he knew that at the end of the day the only people’s opinions he’d be listening to would be his friends and families; though it irked him just a little to know that they were probably trash talking Emi.

Teenage dreams in a teenage circusRunning around like a clown on purpose - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - She and a couple of friends had been fighting over the whole deal with Emi's friendship with Jordan. The girls had not quite approved of it when they had gotten to know that he was somewhat near something Emi would call a best friend. Emi couldn't remember everything they had said but it had not been very nice and just hearing them talk badly of this guy she loved so much had made her loose her temper greatly. She had in fact pushed one of them out of her room while yelling things she couldn't remember today, locked her door and sat down in her bed fighting with holding the tears back. No one besides her and those two girls knew of that fight. But it wasn't so much being criticized for her choice of friends that hurt. It was all those nasty things they had said about Jordan that went straight to her heart. How could someone talk so cruely about a person they didn't even know ? They wasn't aware of how perfect a guy, he was. They didn't know how much he and Emi clicked and how she'd confide him in almost anything. They did not know how much he smiled and how pretty those smiles were and they most certainly did not know how caring and sweet he acted behind all the teasing. This whole school-battle was just silly in every single matter and Emi most definitely was not going to take part in it. If she wanted to talk to a guy from Luxford she would. She looked back to him and he immediately caused a smile to occur on her full pink lips. How could she not love the boy sitting on the other side of the table smiling in her direction? She laughed softly and shrugged ”Racist works regardless of the correlation, y'know?” she said teasingly and winked in his direction. ”Be careful with saying stuff like that, my love. I might hold you to it later” she kept teasing even though she wouldn't mind being on the receiving end of hugs and kisses :3 She did not care that much who it came from. She liked hugs and kisses, period. But hey, getting them from someone as close to her as Jordan could only make it better!
The time of morning was a habit for her so it did not matter all that much to her that she had to get up that early on a daily basis. She liked sleeping in of course but she was quite the early riser in every matter of it. If she got up at 6 AM she was energetic as ever by there but the energy she got from sleeping in was basically the same. - mostly because she stayed up most of the night the days she slept in. ”Damn! I had so hoped you'd come and join me. Oh well, might as well go and break my neck then. Thank you very much for that, darling” she said it all in a teasing voice and laughed again by the thought of death catching up with him yet again. ”I think it is that tattoo of yours! It attracts death!” she stated teasingly, while running her fingers gently over his knuckles saying 'drop dead' when held up next to each other. ”It's death avenging that you have his name tattooed on your hand” she stated with a firm nod and giggled. She let her hands stay on the table but with a few centimetres distance to his. A teasing glimpse showed it's face in her Bambi eyes as she looked back to his and replied back: ”You would die without having me to tease you around. I actually do you a great favor”. A nod fell from her head as she had that said in her teasingly proud tone. ”I'm actually quite the heroine” she said proudly with her chest shot forward a bit and chin up again. She kept moving in the chair for a while because of a mix of restlessness and soreness. She wasn't restless because he wasn't interesting or anything. But she was really energetic and sitting still for a long time didn't quite work for her.
She wiggled her eyebrows at him with a smile painted on her lips and she patted him gently on the hand. ”No.. You don't say that... But you think it! I've got you aaaaall figured out, my love. I can read your mind” she said slyly and a smile to match. She wasn't very convincing in that statement because she was usually mistaken when she tried to figure out what was on Jordan's mind. Sometimes she was pretty sure that she did not want to know what the boy was thinking. But on the other hand it would be totally great when she wanted to tease him. She arched her eyebrows when he manlied up and that little squaring of his shoulders and chest shot forward did help slightly. She laughed and shook her head softly at him ”Okay, okay! I give up, big muscular and manly Jordie with the deep voice” she said ironically and rolled her eyes playfully at him. Somehow, she liked him better when he was in his normal position with his shoulders. Then he was exactly the Jordan she knew so well.
Her head shooked from his next comment and she giggled slightly – still feeling slightly nervous. She did not tend to blush over compliments. In fact, she was good at shaking them off of her but some way his compliments just went straight to her head. She hated it! He wasn't supposed to affect her that way at all. ”I'm not embarassed!” she firmly stated in her usual headstrong way. Trying to make him seem silly for thinking he'd made her embarassed. But it kind of fell right down again as she sighed and then shook her head. ”I know it is.. but not on my chins.” she said smilingly and wrinkled her nose slightly for a second. ”I might just keep on then” she said with a nod before sticking out her tongue at him in playful childishness at it's highest point.
She laughed over him and shrugged with that rogue-expression in her face yet again as she leaned forward with only few inches between their noses. ”What was that saying again? You get to be right, I get peace?.. Same to you” she said teasingly and gave him what in Danish was called a 'isbjørne-kys' or a polarbear-kiss. It is where you rubb your nose against the others for a few times. So she did that and laughed with her soft light voice. She wasn't doubting that he could seduce her whenever he wanted after today. Jeez, all the blushing was quite the proof of that – even though she would never admit to that. With all the girls she knew he ran around with, she didn't dare it. She wasn't going to accept just being the next girl to lay down for him. No, and with that attitude it probably would ruin everything with them and everything they had. - a perfect end, as the two girls Emi had fought with would have called it. But not to Emi. She had this feeling somewhere in her stomach that Jordan and her would be quite the price-winning couple but it was not going to be right now – not as long as he had all those other girls. It did indicated that he wasn't ready for something like a relationship just yet. She giggled and nodded herself when they talked on about the weatherman. ”Poor bastard” she said. ”Literally poor.. I'm going to take all of his money” she said with a cheerful gaze.
She looked into his eyes when finally giving up trying to kill the jocks with her look. Most of the time she couldn't do anything else than look cute. But as soon as she got those killer-eyes going she didn't quite look as adorable as before. If looks could kill – she could murder someone 50 times with her looks. She let out another sigh and one corner of her lips tilted up in a half queezy smile as Jordan called the jocks Neanderthals loudly enough for them to hear it and shoot him dirty looks. She couldn't help a little but laugh when he even was so cocky that he waved them in that moment. ”Look out.. Death might have them go all crazy on you so you die” she teased Jordan before giggling a little. She nodded and got back up on her feet and corrected her clothes slightly. Today the clothing was consisting of a pair of light worn out jeans with holes in them everywhere, a red tank, red converse and metal jewelry in form of a necklace with a swallow hanging from it. Yes, she did have a weakness for swallows. She found them incredibly beautiful. Oh, and not to forget the hundreds of different bracelets around her right wrists. ”Nah.. I'm so much more intelligent than them, so why would I waste my time trying to knock some sense into their empty heads?” she asked him in a fairly loud tone of voice so the dudes would hear, before she took Jordan's hand and dragged him outside the starbucks cafée where she laughed a little and shrugged. ”jeez! It was plain zoo in there” she said with that twinkle in her eyes as she shook her head. ”Hopefully those assholes wont give you any sort of trouble.. I wouldn't like that very much” she then said in a bit of a worried voice.

I’VE LEARNED TO TALK WITH MY FINGERS THE ONLY VOICE THAT WAKES MY EARS
• • • • • • • • • Jordan raised an eyebrow at the girl before shaking his head slightly, “Oh Emi, sometimes you make no sense, yet your acting skills make me think that you actually make perfect sense.” He replied to her statement about being racists working everywhere; there was a certain truth to it. Sometimes random things could work in just about every situation, he didn’t particularly know why, but it was just like some sort of unspoken rule or something. Much like the fact that Jordan and his friends no longer talked about his eclectic tastes in friendship, namely Emi’s. The same ending occurred each time the bubbly red head was brought up, the guys would razz him about the fact that she was a Balston kid and that he was going to fall into the classic unrequited love story situation. With Jordan’s reply being the same thing each time ‘fuck off, I don’t buy that whole unrequited love shit, if I want to be with Emi then by golly I will be. Fuck the school verses school bullshit.’ To which his friends always laugh and then tell him he’s better off with a Luxford kid, less drama, probably better than the Balston girl anyway. The fact that his friends could even say that without having spoken to Emi once was what really got to him, talk about judging a book by its cover. The only things they knew about Emi was what Jordan told them, and the only things he ever told them was that she was one of the most awesome people that’s he’s ever met. Yet, the consensus was that she was not that, but a Balston kid therefore she was automatically a loser; to which Jordan readily argued against. Jordan, having realized that he zoned out for a brief moment only caught a bit of what she was saying, but he still got the gist of what she was talking about. “I can only hope you will.” He replied, a small boyish grin on his lips. Truth be told, Jordan wouldn’t mind a hug or a kiss from the girl. Wouldn’t mind at all. He shook his head swiftly, “No, no that simply won’t do!” he stated over dramatically. “I’ll have to make a sacrifice-my sleep, in order to make sure that you are safe!” he continued, his tone taking on that of a man with a righteous cause before he cracked a grin. Jordan dropped his gaze from Emi’s face to his knuckles, a small chuckle falling from his lips as she ran her fingers over his knuckles. “Mhm, it just might be this tattoo.” He observed thoughtfully, looking at her hands a few centimeters away from his. He suddenly had the strangest urge to hold her hands in his. Jordan imagined that her hands would be slightly rough due to all of the aerial acrobatics and training she does, but at the same time they would still be soft, like a girls hands ought to be. He further imagined lacing his fingers in hers and rubbing the back of her hands with his thumbs, a simple but kind gesture. Jordan pushed the thought away as she began to speak, a new grin playing at his lips. “Yup, it’s a good thing you are such a great heroine, or else I might just die.” He stated as he watched her fidget in the chair some more. Perhaps she needed to get up and walk around for a bit, or she was actually hurting more than she let on. A cheeky grin made its way to his face, “now all we need to complete your heroine look is a sexy leather outfit.” He stated, adding a playful wink.
Jordan sighed, having been caught by Emi’s mind reading skills, that hardly ever worked. “Touche my dear Emi, Touche!” he stated, a grin on his lips. “Though I think this will be one of the few times that your mind reading will ever work.” He said as an afterthought, nodding softly. He was pretty sure that if Emi had the ability to read his mind their friendship would be different. It would most certainly change a lot of things in the equation, might even have turned their friendship awkward, or into something more, had she been able to read his mind when he thought about holding her hands. It probably wouldn’t be bad if things between Emi and him ever turned into something more, they would probably make a very adorable couple. The idea was appealing, yet he knew that right now he’d fuck it up, he simply wasn’t ready to go steady with anyone; as of yet anyway. He looked back to the girl, a silly grin still on his lips as she began to speak once more. “damn straight, and I don’t even care that you don’t really mean what you said.” He replied through a laugh. He didn’t care that Emi did not really think of him as some strong, buff guy, because he knew he wasn’t that type; he was skinny as hell and could probably even fit into her jeans if he really wanted. That whole look suited him just fine, much like how the pink tinge on Emi’s suited her just fine. “Uh-huh, if you say so.” He replied, staring at her curiously, trying to figure out if she actually was embarrassed or just had some real serious acting skills. He rolled his eyes as she stuck out her tongue. “Emi, I swear next time I’ll grab your tongue.” He stated, completely serious, except for the devious glint dancing in his hazel eyes.
The boy raised an eyebrow as she leaned forward, stopping with only a few inches between their noses. He flicked his gaze to her lips for a moment, fighting the idea that he might dare kiss her, just to see if her lips felt as soft as they looked. Jordan brought his gaze back up to Emi’s, acutely aware that she had probably noticed him staring at his lips for longer than he had the right to. Her words brought a smile to his lips, he deserved that for sure. Her action brought and even larger smile to his face, for he knew what she did to be an Eskimo kiss, though she could mean something entirely different. He opened his mouth for a moment to ask what exactly that playful gesture meant, but decided he’d rather not ruin his version just in case hers didn’t mean the same. “You’re such a smartass, y’know that?” he finally settled on, a silly grin settled on his lips. Jordan nodded as she spoke about the weather man, completely agreeing with her. “I don’t doubt it.” He joked.
Jordan, at certain times could develop quite a bravado, especially when it came to other people picking on, taking advantage of other people, or just being plain jackasses. He knew that by so boldly insulting the jocks at the neighboring table he could have been putting himself on their radar, thus making him a target on their list. He shrugged off the thought, not entirely worried that they were going to find him later and cause more trouble, it probably wasn’t worth their effort to beat up one kid. He slid his gaze from the boys to Emi as she spoke, raising another grin to his lips. “Pft, I laugh in the face of death.” He joked, shaking his head softly. Of course there was a small part of him that was slightly concerned with the fact that if the jocks did want to catch up with him later, well he’d be screwed, but he’d cross that bridge when he got to it. As Emi stood up he found himself habitually checking her out, not even bother to try and hide that fact that he was doing just that. He hadn’t fully gotten the chance today as she had been sitting down, but now that she was standing in full view he couldn’t help but smile, she was so damn pretty. A hearty laugh fell from his lips at her outlandish statement, the two of them were certainly razzing the jocks quite a bit, they probably deserved it so it didn’t really bother him. Jordan smiled when she took his hand, eagerly following her out of the shop, finding it much better outside with not so many people cramped into one space. “That it was, and there were too many apes in there for my taste anyway.” He commented, the apes being a reference to the group of jocks. He smiled at her worry, slinging an arm around her shoulder to pull her closer to him before she kissed her forehead. “Oh Emi, don’t worry about them, I’m a big, muscular manly boy, remember? I can handle myself, I’m sure.” He jokingly reassured, though he wasn’t entirely connived himself that he could take them on if they did choose to make trouble. He shook his head, “anyway, fuck them, let’s do something fun to get our minds off those jerks.” He stated while smiling at her.

Teenage dreams in a teenage circusRunning around like a clown on purpose - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Emi let out a laugh when he sorta complimented on her acting skills and all. ”Dear beloved Jordie.. I can make you believe that pigs can fly if I want to” she said teasingly and with both corners of her mouth slightly turned upwards so she had a smile to match. She could be the most convincing of all but being able to make someone believe that pigs could fly – well, that was not very realistic. ”Okay, maybe not that.. But you know, exaggeration to promote understanding” she said with a cheerful laugh in her voice while watching him as he spaced out again – probably following a trail of thoughts as he did every once in a while. She never took it badly as many other girls probably would. Many demanded full attention and all that shizzle when Emi was more of an understanding casual type. If she should be allowed to space for a moment she sure as hell was going to allow her friends the same honor. Why shouldn't she? She allowed herself to fall back a little against her chair and smiled when he replied her the way he did. ”Well, I think I shall attack you with love as soon as possible then” she stated with that glimpse in her eyes. A gaze of both slyness and innocence. The sly part hidden behind innocence but definitely visible if you really looked. ”But only because you seem like you could need it.. Not because I'd love that too, no, no, no” she said in an ironically teasing tone of voice and she winked to him while having that warm gaze locked with his for a few moments. Why did he have such pretty eyes? It was quite difficult to look away. Luckily for her, he did not seem to mind all that much. Or else it could have been really awkward for them both. To be honest, in the back of her head she was really starting to look forward to holding him up to the hugs and kisses. If she had to choose who she wanted to hug or kiss the most, it would be Jordan. She tended to dust that fact away under the carpet so no one would know. She was the kind of girl you'd see running around hugging and kissing anyone considered a friend so the extra joy from this didn't show too much.
She arched one eyebrow and held a hand in front of her lips to hide away the giggle when he played all over dramatic. It was fun to see him do something like that at times and he had picked just the right time. She figured that he was good at timing in general. For example with all his cute little compliments shot in here and there – all on the exact perfect time. She liked that instead of a guy shooting a compliment at her every two seconds. It wore off the charm in it and she noticed herself rolling her eyes every time. It was rude of her really when all those guys wanted was to be nice.. or get her out of her panties. Either way, she should just tell them 'no' instead. But she couldn't quite make herself be that cold bitch to tell them to fuck off and usually the little 'excuse me' or 'would you please stop' did not do very much good. Instead she told them that she'd be right back or something and then not return. ”Oh, you are such a knight!” she said with love painted all over her gaze, as she leaned her head against her hands and sighed. ”Please take this very dirty ice cream – infected napkin as a symbol of my deepest gratitude” she said and waved a bit with her napkin. Doing a real Shrek-Fiona thing before laughing and laying the napkin aside instead so she could focus on his tattoo and their talk of it. She kept her gaze down on their hands with so little distance between them. It would be so easy to reach out and hold his hands but somehow she managed to keep herself back from doing such as that. ”Nonetheless, it is a pretty tattoo. I like it, even though it is a bit murderous” she said smilingly and returned her gaze to his, wondering if he had seen her fascination with their hands. She couldn't help the laughter leaving her lips when he talked about that leather outfit and she shot him a sly smile afterwards. ”Don't forget the whip to punish bad guys with” she added with that sexy purr in her soft voice before winking to him. ”Can't have them killing you. This world would be terribly boring without you around”
”No, no. I just don't comment on your thoughts all that often. That would be more annoying than you can handle. I can't torture you that much even though I like to be evil to you” she stated with a firm nod and a glimpse in her eyes making exactly the point of: I know what you're thinking... Even though she didn't. If she could convince him otherwise that would be a lot of fun. ”So you can might as well just start telling me out loud what you're thinking of so I don't have to keep track of your horribly many thoughts” she finished off well-knowing that she would not get her way in that matter of course. She smiled at the childish joy showing itself in him when he got his way. ”Good, good. b'cause I don't” she said with a wink in his direction as she straightened her back more. ”I think you're much nicer as tall skinny Jordan” she stated with that sweet and totally adorable expression in her face as she tilted her head to the side and looked at him. She seemed to enjoy that curious look. - Just the fact that she still was able to make him curious was awesome. That usually meant that something new and exciting was to be discovered. Like she saw something interesting in him almost every single time they spent time together. ”I do say so” she closed off that discussion. It was particularly a subject she was interested in talking more about. ”just you try! I might bite your hand off then” she challenged and warned him with a competitive expression in the big brown eyes.
When Jordan was staring down – so was Emi. How could someone be so attractive to her? This wasn't much different from anything else with other friends, she tried to tell herself. But how could she not consider moving those last inches forward and meeting his lips with her own. Someone as attractive as him – not just with his looks – was hard to resist. Actually, his personality was even more attractive to her. Luckily, she was the one to stop staring firstly and got to see him doing the same before he noticed. Jeez.. This wasn't good at all. They had been flirting around a lot before but this but somehow everything seemed to be different this time. And some way; she liked it. She settled on the Eskimo-kiss instead and hoped he did not really notice the amplified attraction from her side. ”I'm aware of it. And you love it” she stated and pulled away from him again. ”I'll consider sharing with you.. But don't get your hopes up, love” she teased him.
”Going all Simba, I hear?” she suggested teasingly when he said, that he laughed in the face of danger. As far as she knew that was what Simba said in 'the Lion King'. In some ways, Jordan reminded her of Simba with all his boldness and the way he seemed all fearless in his own childish way. But as Simba he seemed to be in guilt and scared deep down behind all the fearless. ”awe.. You're my little Simba” she teased and ruffed up his hair gently before getting up on her feet. He did not hide the way he was checking her out so of course it was easy for her to notice and arch an eyebrow because of it. She made it pretty clear that he was busted but then she did not comment further on it. She knew that she had a somewhat gorgeous body – that was obvious with all the training she did on a daily basis. But she did feel flattered though even though she was aware of that fact. It was nice being noticed like that. One of the jocks did seem to see that too with the way his gaze took a round up and down her body. She just shot him a scowl and moved with Jordan outside. ”Uncivilized big gorillas” she commented and let out a soft laugh when she was pulled into his arms and felt his lips against her forehead. Was it okay so enjoy it as much as she did ? She put both her arms around him too and leaned her head in towards his chest. Then she looked up and smiled to him. ”Or else I'll come fight for you. No one wants to deal with these fists of fury” she said and pulled away from him to show him both of her balled hands as she danced around like a real boxer. ”Let's! I think you should.. Please take this the most heartly way possible, my love... I think you should enter the bikini-contest. That would be a lot of fun” she suggested in a very teasing tone and with that devious gaze locked in his.

I’VE LEARNED TO TALK WITH MY FINGERS THE ONLY VOICE THAT WAKES MY EARS
• • • • • • • • • For the second time that afternoon Jordan regarded the girl with a skeptical look, his eyebrows raised slightly and his lips twisted into something between a smile and a frown. “Pigs fly?” he asked out loud, shaking his head lightly as a smile pulled across his lips. Emi had some serious skills but he highly doubted that she could actually convince him that pigs could fly, though if she ever managed to do it he would never doubt the girl about anything ever again. He nodded his head as she added on another thought, correcting herself to a degree where she was still right, but not over exaggerating. “Ahh there you go, now I believe you.” He said through a small chuckle. “Though, maybe if I was high, or drunk for that matter you might just be able to convince me that pigs fly.” He added on, nodding thoughtfully. “We’ll have to give it a try sometime.” He stated through a wide grin as he looked at her through playfully eyes. When he wasn’t sober he became a very interesting person, quite gullible and very touchy feely, more-so than normal. He all ready was a boy that was not quite gullible, but more so naïve when it came to something, he generally tended to believe his friends when they were claiming something in all seriousness. He was also a pretty touchy guy, he craved the human touch, especially when interacting with close friends, like Emi. He loved all the small touches to his hands and arms and even the occasional kiss to the cheek that she doled out on occasion. “Good, I’ll be waiting.” He commented as he regarded her carefully. He detected the slightest hint of mischievousness behind the innocent bambi-eyed look she had going on. It was quite possible that she could full out just attack him with hugs and kisses and if she did he would not mind at all, what with him enjoying the comfort from another person’s touch, not for the reason that it was Emi that was doing it. No, that would just be a small bonus, one that he shouldn’t even really consider a bonus. After all Emi was his friend and he probably should avoid thinking about her in any way that wasn’t how one friend should think about another, it would probably get too weird otherwise. Jordan nodded along with her, “oh yes, yes, of course, just because I crave it, not for any other ridiculous reason like you love to do that or anything.” He stated, heavy playful sarcasm laced in his tone as he grinned at her.
Jordan smiled arrogantly, waving off her claim of him being a knight. “I know babe.” He responded with a small chuckle, his gaze falling from her to the napkin. He wrinkled his nose and leaned back as far as his chair would allow. “Eww, unsanitary, I’ll have to decline, but know that I still appreciate your gratitude.” He stated through a small chuckle. He had a bit of a germaphobe complex going on, there were certain things that just freaked him the fuck out and dirty things were one of them. Planes, thunderstorms and clowns were also on that list. Though he encountered germ-ridden things more than any of the other aforementioned fears. Sometimes he convinced himself that something was so dirty that he had to scrub it clean before he used it, like his computer for instance. If he was sure that his roommates had their grubby little fingers all over it he’d wipe it down with vinegar before using it and then he’d go and wash his own hands. It was bad, almost like an OCD things sometimes, but he tried not to let things bother him. Jordan eyed the napkin for a moment longer before turning his gaze back to his tattoo, a small smile on his face, “thanks…I think, not too sure about how to take the murderous part, but all right.” He replied through a laugh as he smiled teasingly at her. He raised another eyebrow at her sly look, brining out a devilish smirk of his own at her comment. Without skipping a beat, even though her voice dropped to a dangerously sexy tone, he asked “mhm, if I pretend to be bad will you whip me?” He shot the girl a sly look of his own, complete with a smirk and a wink. Jordan held the look for only a few moments before his face relaxed back into a playful grin, his eyes dancing with merriment. “Nope can’t have that at all.”
Jordan laughed happily along with her words, he absolutely adored the girl and her sense of humor, it made him so happy. “Emi, love, sorry to burst your bubble but you can’t very well be a heroine and at the same time be evil towards me.” He commented, an amused grin curving his lips upward. Jordan nodded his head, making it seem like he was agreeing with her second statement. “Aha yup, I’ll be sure to get right on that one my darling Emi.” He teased through a slightly sarcastic tone. As much as he liked sharing his thoughts and feelings with Emi there was a certain limit to what he would share, even though they were very close friends. A guy needed to keep his secrets to himself sometimes, though he would consider telling her his more personal thoughts if they ever become closer than they were at this moment. A large smile turned his lips up at her complement; it wasn’t so much the complement itself but the fact that she looked so adorable as she said it. “Me too.” He said through a small laugh. He couldn’t picture himself with large amounts of muscle, it would just look too weird, plus it would ruin all his tattoos. Jordan grinned at her challenging words, that settled it he was going to grab her tongue the next time she stuck it out at him. “Challenge accepted, sweetheart.” He stated simply, a grin on his lips.
At the close proximity Jordan found his heart beat speeding up ever so slightly, as if he was nervous to be this close to her. He wasn’t sure why, he had been close to Emi like this before, like when she kissed his cheek. Then he had thought nothing of it really, other than appreciating the gesture. Now though, he felt almost nervous to be this close to her, which was absurd in his own way. He was Jordan freaking Dredd, the boy with the killer smiles and the gift of one liners, he could charm any girl out of her panties if he set his mind to it. He never got nervous around girls, not since the eighth grade when he had his first slow dance with a girl ever. This whole thing, especially with Emi was absurd, he didn’t get nervous, he just didn’t; yet how else would he explain his sped up heart beat? Jordan nodded his head in accordance with her first statement, a small smile on his face, he did love her smartass nature, it was always entertaining. “I’ll try not to, no promises though.” He replied through a small chuckle.
He pursed his lips slightly at her comparison; he supposed that he was kinda like Simba, in more way than one. Obviously he was adorable just like the Disney character, a fearless leader of sorts, but he was also guilt ridden and scared like the character. Jordan stuck his tongue out at her as she called him her little Simba before messing up his hair, causing him to growl playfully, keeping in character as Simba, a giant kitty. “Roar!” he stated playfully as he smoothed his hair down to its silky perfection. Jordan merely grinned at the girl as she caught him checking her out, he wasn’t even going to deny that he was doing it. A chuckle fell from his lips as her face turned into a scowl for a moment before he was pulled outside. “You know it’s not that guys fault you’re a total babe.” He commented slyly before shaking his head slightly. “Are there any other kind?” he asked rhetorically as she mentioned the gorillas being uncivilized. He had never known any animal to be particularly civilized, especially not that of the human variety. A warm smile worked its way onto his face as Emi put both her arms around him, he enjoyed the moment wall it lasted because not before long she was bouncing around like her usual hyper self. “All right, easy rocky, I get it, you’re a champ.” He stated while raising his hands in a placating manner, all the while laughter fell from his lips. At her suggestion Jordans eyebrows shot skyward as he looked at her incredulously before he burst into laughter. “Oh jeez, wouldn’t that be a-a…” he paused to laugh some more, thoroughly amused by her suggestion. “I don’t even know actually. It would probably be as disturbing as it would be funny.” He said as his laugher died down. “Emi, honestly I don’t think I’d look very good in a bikini, nor would it fit me properly.” He observed while shaking his head, an amused smile still on his lips. “You though m’dear, you would look quite gorgeous in a bikini.” He stated while wiggling his eye brows suggestively. “So maybe you should enter the bikini-contest.” He stated looking at her with a devilish stare. Maybe he would sign the girl up without her knowing, now wouldn’t that be a knee slapper?

Teenage dreams in a teenage circusRunning around like a clown on purpose - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Emilie arched both eyebrows at him as he frowned while asking if pigs fly. ”Sweety, of course they do. Have you not seen that?” she asked him back in an ironic voice lacing around the words. She tilted her head gently to the side before shaking it. ”Maybe not quite” she added with that little wrinkle on her nose and a warm gaze in his direction before she took a look around in the coffee shop. It really was packed! Luckily, she had her own little distraction from it all in the boy in front of her. She was fairly sure that if he was drunk – or, God forbid it, high – he would believe almost anything someone told him. After all, she had seen him in drunk condition a few times by now and he really was the naïve boy like that. And he seemed to flirt around that extra bit and hug all the people around him. He was a lot of fun in that condition. She didn't like the thought of him doing drugs though and she did nothing to hide it. She never really demanded him to stop it but she sure as hell did speak up her mind about it. All she asked him to was to be careful. If he listened to that she would just have to be satisfied with it. ”and you did not believe me before? Stupid” she rolled her eyes playfully before finally settling on looking into his eye. ”I'll try that out then. Call me up next time you plan on getting drunk” she said with that cheerful expression lazing her pretty pierced face. ”But if you think of getting high, I'd rather wait 'till some other time” she added on and raised an eyebrow. She still did take her distance around that thing with highness and touching drugs – even if it was ''just'' weed. Damn, she had too many druggies as friends. Maybe bad company seemed appealing to her subconsciousness. Who knew, maybe she'd even be one of them if she had not had her career to built. ”Pssh.. It'll be when you expect it the least” she said, playful almost stitching it's way around every single word. And as to the reliability of those words; Emi really could all of a sudden jump across the table and attack him if she really wanted it. People could think what they wanted of her. As long as they left her friends alone they could say anything about her and she wouldn't care. However, the thought of jumping over a table and showing quite the uncivilized – not that her usual hyperactive ways always were civilized – behavior around all these people did seem less than appealing to her. She'd leave it for now and get back to it some other time. She guessed she'd have plenty opportunities as the day went along. ”Good! Then we agree on something – finally.” she teased him.
A gentle and utterly amused laughter fell from her lips the second he leaned back entirely in his chair – as far as it was possible, without bumping into the person by the next table. She had discovered that he had this little OCD-ish way of thinking around germs. It was cute to see him avoid some things which he saw as unsanitary and then clean some other things when he really needed to use it. She found it very amusing to watch now that she wasn't all that sensitive to such things herself. She had the thought that if you got your hands dirty you can always wash it. But there was one thing she hated in that category – dirty dishes! They had to be cleaned up and all, but even though it was her own plate and all, she'd still find it disgusting. She went all housewife with pink plastic gloves when she had to wash dishes. She imagined that she probably looked completely weird with those gloves in a too big size. ”Oh no, Great Sire. That simply can't do. How can I show you my gratitude in more that words?” she asked him while tilting her head entirely to the side and bashing her long black eyelashes a few times. At no time the joke left it's place in her eyes and the corners of her lips. She laughed with him and shrugged. ”I'm just saying that I like the tattoo. It's your problem that death is out to get you because of it's murderous nature. Just thought I'd remind you” she said waving her hands defensively in front of her face but smiling the entire time to him. The way he reacted when the whip being mentioned was as she had thought, so she played along and watched him carefully with that sexy expression all in her eyes and the curl on her lips. ”You can always try” she told him and wiggled her eyebrows. It would be a sight for Gods. ”So now we all now that Jordan Dredd himself likes it rough. Who would have guessed it” she teased him.
”You could not burst my bubble, even if you wanted it badly” she teased him with laughter in her voice and it showing in her eyes too. ”The whole idea of me being your heroine is to protect you from others.. Not from me” she said and nodded firmly to show her utter belief on this matter. She smiled a bit wider when he made his sarcastic comment about remembering to tell her what he was thinking. She hadn't expected anything from him at all so it did not come as much of a surprise that he used that tone of voice. Yet, she ignored it and just grinned widely and nodded ”Good boy!” she said with the rogue-ish glimpse hidden in her eyes. ”Oh no, you didn't!” she then said dramatically and held both hands in front of her mouth. After a few seconds in that position she let out a laughter. ”How can you think such a thing??” she asked him in quite the wounded voice and sniffled shortly. She had absolutely no clue as to what he had been thinking but she just decided to throw the comment in to annoy him furthermore. It would be fun to see if he hesitated and considered believing her anyway due to it. She doubted it, but even the smallest hint of hesitation would be fun to see from him. She smiled when he seemed to agree to that the look he had now was the most suiting one for him. Really, she couldn't imagine him any other way and she did not want to. She didn't mind all those boys who were all buff or just slightly wider around because mostly that was the look that suited them. Just like the skinny and tall-look worked for Jordan. ”But I have warned you: You might get hurt... I bite a lot harder than you would imagine” she warned him with a smirk in her face. She was pretty sure that he wouldn't dare do it – and she did plan on sticking out her tongue again. It was something she did without really thinking.. A reflex so to speak.
She knew that there had been something clicking between them with that eskimo-kiss somehow. But what she did: Ignored it. She shoved the thought away and convinced herself that it was nothing but pure attraction. After all, Jordan was a handsome boy and he had just talked of her as being the prettiest girl in the room. Wasn't it human to find the other person appealing in that case? And as long as it did not lead to anything it didn't matter much now, did it? They had showed some amount of self-control when they pulled away from each other. It didn't mean anything. No, it did not. Yet, she wasn't all ready to let it go right away.
She giggled at his roar being.. well.. not very terrifying. Again: A lot like Simba. It was fun to see all these little Simba-comparisons right now. She sat for a moment and tried to figure out what Disney character she was like but she had to give up after a while. Maybe she was a bit like Mickey Mouse. She tried to always put others before her and the one thing that meant more to her than anything else was family and friends. She tried to keep other people happy. But nah, maybe not entirely mickey. She let the thought go and decided to just wait and see as she went along. ”Jeez! You almost scared me to death. Bad little lion.. Baaaad lion” she said in that disappointed punishing voice as she scowled in his direction. Though it was all tease and Jordan knew it. She rolled her eyes slightly when she was called a babe and all. ”I can't help it either” she stated with a nod ”With my profession I need to look like this.. It is so hard” she sniffled and held a hand in front of her eyes as if she was just about to burst into tears, indicating that it was terribly hard to be as much a babe as her. But it didn't last long before her cheery usual expressions returned. She laughed when being called Rocky. ”Haven't you noticed my champ-ness before?” she asked waving her fists as she danced closer to him and lastly jumped up and put her arms around his neck. ”Attack!” she laughed and as promised she attacked him with her hug and kisses on both his chins and his nose. ”I have now caught you so you shall be my slave for all eternity” she stated with a nod and smiled teasingly to him.
Both eyebrows of Emi's seemed to raise in disbelief when Jordan suggested that she, instead of him, should enter the bikini-contest. ”Na'ah” she quickly said and shook her head firmly more than once. ”It would be both disturbing and amusing to see you in that contest. Therefore: You should enter. I'll be making a sign and cheer for you instead. Oh yes, that is a great idea” she nodded and pushed him gently aside. ”It's not the idea that you should look good in a bikini” she said and then with a sly smile lacing her lips she wiggled her eyebrows at him. ”But I don't think girls would mind the.. uh.. lack of clothes” innocence took over as she whistled and looked to the side and away from him. She grinned all over the face when she finally looked back. It was no secret that she would be laughing and teasing him with it forever. But like all the other girls: She didn't mind the lack of clothing.. She just figured that the bikini would take the hot out of it. But you didn't know until you tried.

I’VE LEARNED TO TALK WITH MY FINGERS THE ONLY VOICE THAT WAKES MY EARS
• • • • • • • • • Jordan laughed while rolling his eyes playfully, “No actually, I haven’t. I hear that it’s a site to see though.” His tone was serious but the smile on his face said that he was joking. The brunette haired boy nodded his head in a silent reply, not feeling the need to answer her small statement with actual words. He figured that she knew he didn’t quite believe her when she said that she could convince him of anything, but he was always open to her trying, it would probably be an interesting afternoon if that ever did happen. Jordan laughed, waving off her comment about him being stupid, she could be quite childish sometimes. Though he did prefer the sillier insults like: stupid, dumbass, or loser. Over the more hardcore names like: asshole, douche bag, fag and other assorted names that Jordan didn’t even really like thinking about, much less saying or being called himself. Besides, this was all in just good fun anyway; it was basically like she said it in a loving way, for lack of a better set of words. “No I didn’t, stupid.” He teased back, enunciating ‘stupid’. Jordan grinned as he was told to call her up, even without the invitation he would have called her up, though it probably would have been while he was all ready drunk, so the conversation probably wouldn’t have been that coherent; it was a good thing she told him to call her before he got drunk then. “I will call, so probably tonight then.” He stated through a laugh before shaking his head. “Just kidding, I’m not that much of an alcohol addict.” He added after a pause of laughter. Jordan nodded as she told him to forget it if he was going to be high, “okie dokie homeslice.” He replied while flicking his gaze away for a brief moment. He respected her opinion on the matter of drugs, even if it was just weed, so he generally tried to avoid talking about it when with her, or being around her when he did choose to indulge. He also knew that she wasn’t going to outright demand that he stop, but the fact that she could guilt trip him slightly with just a simple look freaked him out a bit. No one, not even his dad could guilt trip him, but Emi, ahh that girl was something special, he supposed. Jordan turned his hazel gaze back to the girl, a cheerful smile on his face, “good, better be, I love the element of surprise.” He replied while eyeing her suspiciously, half expecting her to launch across the table at this very moment. He wouldn’t put it past her, he knew her to be quite the rambunctious girl, so this was definitely something up her ally. The boy raised an eyebrow, “huh I guess it is, weird, can’t have that happening anymore.” He joked, a silly grin lighting up his face.
Jordan narrowed his eyes at the redhead playfully, he didn’t really like it when people laughed and or made fun of his complete germ OCD nature. Though since it was Emi he had come to expect nothing less and had gotten over it long ago, for the most part. Other people though, no, he flipped shit when they even tried to be funny. He recalled one time in his chemistry class in senior year of high school; a couple guys thought it would be funny to shove him into a nasty garbage bin. When that happened Jordan actually started to shake, to a point where people actually stopped laughing and were concerned. He remembers that as he struggled out of the garbage can his skin felt tingly like someone had poured some sort of acid on him. He felt completely unsanitary, so much so that he had to walk home because he didn’t want to sit in his car and get it dirty-transfer of germs you know-. Jordan wasn’t even embarrassed that he was shoved in a garbage can, it was the fact that it was so unsanitary that really screwed with him. He shuddered lightly, shaking the idea from his head before looking back to Emi, his playful gaze returning in full to match hers. “You can just sit there and look adorable, really that’s all I can ask of you.” He stated in a tone of authority, as if he were some great knight; though it didn’t last long before a boyish grin had returned to his face. He snorted lightly, “yeah, yeah, death this and death that. I’m beginning to wonder if you have some sort of obsession with it, much like it apparently has an obsession with me.” He teased playfully while running his fingers over his knuckles, glancing down at the tattoo again. The boy regarded the girl curiously as she told him to try, the sexy expression and suggestive eyebrow wiggling told him one thing, but he was certain it was all just a part of her act. He grinned broadly at her declaration of sorts, “oh yeah, love it, with the hair pulling, biting, raking your nails down my back type of thing, it really gets me off.” He said slyly, an almost lecherous smirk curving his lips up. He was all one for a bit of rough play, but not to the extent where he was in pain, he really didn’t understand sadists, it was weird.
“That’s good to know, because I don’t particularly like bursting peoples bubbles, make me feel like a dick.” He stated through a small bout of laughter. Jordan nodded as his mouth formed a little ‘O’, as if he had just had an epiphany from hearing her speak. “Oh, right I see the logic in that.” He stated while nodding slowly, his expression completely serious, save the playfulness in his eyes. “You’re the only one who’s allowed to torture me, right got it.” He continued his tone just this side of sarcastic, with a tinge of teasing. Jordan scoffed playfully as she just ignored his sarcasm and told him he was a good boy, she seemed to do that quite often, sarcasm wasn’t something that effected her apparently. He looked at the girl curiously as she spoke out in shock before asking him how he could think such a thing, which really caused him to give her look that bordered on confusion and disbelief. He knew that there was no way she had been able to read his mind, because this wasn’t some x-men shit, this was real life. It was the fact that her timing with the dramatic exclamation was uncanny that caused him to hesitate a moment, after all he had just been thinking that a he needed to keep a few things to himself and here she was acting as if he had hurt her with that thought. Jordan allowed a laugh to fall from his lips, “cute Emi, really, but you’re never gonna figure out what I’m thinking, unless I tell you.” He commented his tone very teasing as he grinned at her. Still though, the uncanny timing of her comments were weird and maybe he’d tell her about it one day, but not now, he didn’t her to know what kinda facial expression he made when he was thinking of certain things; no need for her to know all of his tells. His lips twisted into a smirk of his own at her statement, “I won’t mind, after all love, you seem to have forgotten that I like it rough.” He said smoothly, not missing a beat as he shot her a wink. Jordan didn’t think that she would actually bite him, well too hard anyway, mostly because she thought that he probably didn’t have the balls to actually grab her tongue.
He knew that he shouldn’t have read so much into the little Eskimo-kiss, after all it was Emi and he knew that she was prone to such affection actions all the time and he was much the same way. Still though, he couldn’t deny the obvious attraction that was between the two of them. However, just because he didn’t deny it, didn’t mean that he had to act on it. He could just shove the alien feelings under the carpet and forget about them, but that was easier said than done. Even though they had both all ready moved on from the moment, now talking of Disney character and other things, he found himself still thinking back to the moment they shared back in the coffee shop and how much he liked it. Jordan shook his head as she scolded him playfully; he looked down acting the part of the scolded child, or rather lion. “I’m sorry.” He stated while taking her hand in his and bringing it up to his head before he nuzzled it lightly, as if he was apologizing in the ways of a cat. Much like how a cat always nuzzles it’s owners hand when wanting affection or apologizing for catching a bird and not a mouse. He dropped her hand and began to laugh as she sulked, as if being a total babe was extremely hard work. “Oh poor Emi, the life of a beautiful girl must be soo hard, I’ll just never understand.” He teased while grinning at her, thoroughly amused by her actions. Jordan had been too busy rolling his eyes at her Rocky imitation that he hadn’t been expecting her to jump up and put her arms around his neck, even so he instantly found himself wrapping his arms around her waist to support her. A warm smile graced his lips as he was assaulted with kisses, much to his newly found pleasure with her seemingly never ending close proximity. “I think I can live with that.” He replied through a laugh as he looked at her through delighted hazel eyes.
Jordan shook his head vigorously as she continued with the idea of him being in a bikini contest, the mere thought made him shudder. He would not look good in a bikini, he would fill out the cloth in all the wrong places, ew. “Oh god.” He said while facepalming. “You’re waaay to creative Emi, I think you should use that creative energy for positive things, where the idea is for me to look good, not bad.” He joked through laughter as he watched the girl wiggle his eyebrows at him, only causing him to laugh more. He straightened up at her final comment, a raised eyebrow as she pretended to be innocent about her suggestion. A sly smirk pulled at his lips as he looked at her, “well Emi, if the idea behind this is to get me out of my clothes then all you had to do was ask.” He stated as he grasped the edge of his shirt, slowly pulling it up to expose his skinny tattoo abdomen. He stopped once his shirt reached the bottom of his rib cage, allowing it to fall back into place as a chorus of laughter fell from his lips; all the while his sly gaze remained on the girls face.

Teenage dreams in a teenage circusRunning around like a clown on purpose - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Smiling joyfully in his direction as he played along with the 'pigs can fly' idea she playfully stated: ”It really is quite the sight. I'll drag you along to see it some time” while watching him with that teasing gaze in his direction at all times. She really enjoyed joking around with him this much and she always had. Of course she liked the moments they had every now and then that were dominated by seriousness, but she figured that if they were to be serious like that all the time, it wouldn't be serious enough, when it really was needed. With them joking around, you could always be completely sure that if one of them turned serious for real – it was serious. About that, they were never really in doubt, and it felt nice to be almost sure when to stop joking and listen instead. But that wasn't needed by now. They were joking in their usual ”silly” childish ways and both enjoyed it tremendously. The expressions such as 'Stupid' was used every once in a while when they needed a name to call each other without it getting too harsh. She hated hearing words such as asshole, bastard and so on or saying them if it was in a playful manner. She did slip with the word 'asshole' every once in a while but only when she felt most pissed. Besides that, she'd stick to the sweeter teasing words such as 'stupid' or 'loser'. ”You should know better than that! I'm totally the most reliable person on this whole planet” she stated, chest shot forward and a superior gaze directed to the ceiling before relaxing her body and looking back right into his gorgeous hazel eyes. A pair of eyes that almost made her melt and turn soft as butter. If there was anything in this world that could do that to Emi it was eyes. The first thing she noticed when meeting a person – stranger or friend – was their eyes. The color of them, the shape of them and the expression they wore. And Emi was a sucker for a pair of pretty eyes or a beautiful smile. Someone had once told her that it was because the first thing a person subconsciously looks for is the white areas of another's face. For example it did not seem very appealing with yellow teeth or eyes. Emi didn't quite know if she was the only one looking more at eyes and smiles than anyone else or if it was in fact true that everyone did it. Nonetheless she loved Jordan's eyes. ”Good! I was starting to fear that I needed to scold you about that too” she said with an arched eyebrow and a teasing look in her eyes. She had not been scolding him about the drugs of course but as mentioned before: Exaggeration to promote understanding. She was happy that he listened to her when she told her in the most loving gentle way that she didn't like very much his use of drugs. And it wasn't because she hated it herself that she told him that. No, it was plain and simple because she was worried about him. She wouldn't like to see him fall into an addiction that he could not get out of. And she was fearing even more that he would mess up his brain too much to function normally anymore. She smiled when he told her what she already knew: That he liked surprises. ”I know you do” she replied. She was pleased with her holding back from attacking him right in this moment because, as far as she could read from his facial expression, that was what he would expect. ”Nopé. The world is already mad. Let's not make it worse by agreeing on things furthermore” she said – fairly aware of the fact that they had just agreed to start disagreeing again.
Worry seemed to flash over Emilie's face as she watched Jordan shudder and seem to think of something uncomfortable. If there was something she hated it was seeing her loved ones in any sort of pain or the likes of it. She gently took his hands in hers and stroked them – barely a soft touch – with her fingertips as she tilted her head to the side. ”Are you okay?” she asked him and kept caressing his hands carefully. She turned into some relieved state of mind when he seemed to light up again and the conversation went on in the playful nature they were so used to by now. ”Really? You're easily satisfied” she teased him and made the most cute puppy-face she was able to, to show her gratitude, as her knight wanted her to. When he fell back to his boyish grin, she let herself return to her own casual cheerful one of the kind. In everything she did, she seemed adorable so it wasn't like she stopped, even though she didn't make the exaggerated puppy eyes anymore. She sighed dramatically as if a secret of hers had been discovered. Resignedly she threw her arms to the sides and she rolled her eyes playfully at him. ”You got me. I'm in love with death. I'm a real lil' goth and all” she admitted sarcastically and sighed yet again before a smile not being capable of hiding itself away any longer. ”But I merely doubt that I ever shall be able to be as obsessed with death, as death is obsessed with you. It is pretty high-leveled the obsession it has for you” she claimed and thoughtfully played with a bright red lock of hair and the curls in it. She raised an eyebrow before bursting into a giggle as he told her how he liked the so called 'it'. ”I thought that you didn't like people touching your hair?” she said to him in a tease, because she knew he didn't like when she messed his hair around and now he talked about liking the hair-pulling thing. And of all he said; that was the thing she chose to notice the most. To her, all those things he had just mentioned was something she had, until now, considered fairly usual. Maybe she was just rough like that in nature? She liked it that way as long as it didn't get to the point when it hurt badly or simply got too much. ”One day, I'll set you up on a blind date with a sadist in disguise as a softie or something” she told him. The thought of setting him up with any girl did seem less than appealing to her, and she probably wouldn't try it some time in the nearest future. But she could have some fun with joking about it.
Emi rolled her eyes at him before arching both eyebrows and leaning forward to make it seem like she had a really serious and important message to him. ”You are a dick, Jordan” she said in a serious voice and nodded to inhanse that message even more. She didn't mean it of course. If she did, she probably would not be hanging out with the boy in this moment. After a few seconds of looking all serious she fell back again to her usual self and smiled again making it clear to him that it was nothing, but another joke from her side. ”of course it is logic! I would never say anything less than that” she stated while rolling her eyes once more. ”Ah, you're smarter than I'd expected. That is good. Maybe we will have use for you anyway, loved one” her voice was noble, snobbish, and nonchalant as she spoke those words and yet again she wasn't able to hold back the laughter for long. She was too happy about that laughing-thing in general really. Especially when she was spending time with the closest of her friends. In general; when she had a good time, she laughed. It was a good sign. However, some people did not take it very well. In fact, she had pissed a few off and they told her to stop it because it was annoying them. For the rest of that time she had sat still as a mouse hiding away! What a horrible day that had been. A flash of joy rolled through her body when he seemed to get confused and showed some sort of disbelief. It meant that she had chosen the right time to burst out those words. Of course he didn't believe her but she had made him hesitate shortly and that had been the entire point with the outburst. ”No? Hmm.. I guess, I can live with that.. But just barely.” she said with a smile and shook her head. ”Maybe, I'm better off without it.. Wouldn't want to discover all your thinking about me” she first part of that was said truly honest but as it stuck to her personality, she wasn't serious for too long at a time and therefore she added that last sentence in a playful matter. ”I wouldn't forget something like that. Just saying: It'll hurt”
She arched one eyebrow and tilted her head slightly to the side when he took her hand and nuzzled it like a little cat would – in this case a bigger cat of course, but it was still a cute gesture. She couldn't help but laugh a little as she nuzzled his chin and hair with her fingers in return. ”awe! Aren't you a cute little kitty? Can't be mad at you” she said smilingly and scratched him behind his ear in a playful way. When a real cat did that whole nuzzling thing you could not just leave it and be all cold and mad. It was just the cutest thing such a smart little animal could do. She had plans of getting a cat when she had a family and all in the future. She was in general more of a cat lover than a dog lover. Cats were just smarter and more independent, but they were still loving when it got to it. Yes, Emi wanted cats over dogs when that time came – if it would ever. She laughed cheerfully and shrugged a little. ”no, you wont ever understand it. It is unbearable” she sighed as she ran her gaze around the surroundings in all hopelessness. Emi was happy to hear him agree to the eternity as a slave of hers. She would never be an evil master even if she really was serious; which wasn't the case. She kissed him furthermore on the forehead and the cheek and then a few times on the parts of his neck that wasn't covered by her arms doing the warm embrace. She had warned him of the attack so he'd better live through it as long as it lasted. She stayed there close to him for a while before finally pulling herself away so he wouldn't find her too clingy even though she was aware of his joy in physical contact. She held on to his gaze even though there was nothing holding them together anymore besides that one thing.
”Pffssh.. You are so boring” she said casually and frowned a bit before laughing and crossing her arms. An eyebrow raised showed itself in her face too as she glanced up and down his body to check him out for a small while. ”Don't you look good in anything?” she asked him competitively and caught his gaze once more. If she could just wake that competitive side of him she'd might just be able to convince him. If not; well, she could always try again, when he was drunk and more tractable to deal with. Emi laughed when he decided to slightly pull up his shirt and exposed his skinny abdomen full of tattoos as the rest of his body. The girl couldn't help herself, so her gaze fell unwillingly to it and she was just about to complain when he let his shirt drop again. However, she did manage to keep her mouth shut and straighten up again. ”It's not very fair to stop it there” she noted after a moment or two because well, she had difficulties shutting her mouth anyway. ”Do I still only need to ask?” she asked him while wiggling her eyebrows but then laughing.

I’VE LEARNED TO TALK WITH MY FINGERS THE ONLY VOICE THAT WAKES MY EARS
• • • • • • • • • “Good I wouldn’t want to experience something so cool with anyone else.” He stated while rolling his eyes playfully. Sometimes Jordan wondered how they could continuously joke about things without getting on each other nerves; it was amazing to him actually. He had some friends who tried to do the same thing that he and Emi did, have the same sort of relationship that they had. It didn’t quite work the same way, most of the time it ended up with either Jordan getting fed up and telling them to grow the fuck up, or the other way around. Either way, thus far Emi has been the only one that he be able to successfully be silly with at almost every moment, without having someone become annoyed or angry. Still though, he sometimes found it difficult to be serious with the girl, it almost felt unnatural to wear anything but a smile or a grin around the girl; the many memories with the girl can attest to that. Nevertheless, there are also a few memories where they have been able to sit down for more than five minutes and have a serious heart to heart talk. Some of those memories were the ones that he favored over some of their more silly days. It was times when after a long day of just running around and being hyper that they either went back to his place or hers and they just hung out, without all of the dramatics and over acting that normally followed them. Nope, they just sat down completely at ease with each other and talked. During the serious times he honestly felt like he could trust her one hundred percent, that he could tell her absolutely anything it would be judgment free. Or if she did have something to say about the matter she would let him know in an almost delicate way, that wouldn’t put him on edge or make him defensive. Just another great thing about their relationship, they could share their opinions on what would normally be delicate topics and actually take the suggestion to heart. He personally, listened to Emi more than he did anyone else, even if he acted like some badass who didn’t really listen to anyone. Jordan smiled and nodded at the girl, “I know, I know, I should know better about a lot of things, but I don’t so I guess it’s a good thing that I keep the most reliable person on this whole planet around.” He began seriously but as he continued with the statement it trailed off into a slightly mocking tone before fading into soft laughter. Jordan watched her as her chest shot out in a show of superiority before relaxing back into her chair, causing him to shake his head slightly before catching her gaze. He smiled warmly at her as he gazed into her beautiful eyes. Had this been some random girl that he was trying to pick up he would have leaned forward, took her hand in his, dropped his signature charming smile and tell her that she had the most beautiful eyes this side of California. He almost felt compelled to do the same to Emi, the only difference would have been that he would have actually meant what he said about her eyes. Out of all the girls he’d ever known he’d have to honestly say that Emi’s were the most captivating, he could stare into them all day, they just were just a pool of never ending happiness. Jordan chuckled, waving off her comment about her scolding him, “jeez Emi, you’re starting to sound an awful lot like my mother.” He teased, fully knowing she had very little in common with his mother, especially not the scolding part. The brunette boy nodded his head, everyone knew by now that he loved getting surprises as much as giving them. Jordan couldn’t help but chuckle as Emi confirmed that they both just agreed to start disagreeing again, oh the irony of the statement. “We’re kinda dumb aren’t we?” he asked playfully.
Jordan instantly felt relieved as Emi took his hand into her before caressing them slightly, her concern completely evident. He smiled at the girl, squeezing her hand lightly, “yeah, just a terrible high school memory surprised me.” He explained while running his tongue over his teeth. “thought I stored it away forever, but apparently not, but its not a big deal, just me and my weird germaphobe OCD thing.” He continued, laughing off the memory. “I appreciate the concern though.” He added as a thankful smile warmed his face. Honestly, sometimes the girl was like his rock, even when it came to simple things like a bad high school memory. The fact that the girl was able to pick up on his unease right away told him without words that she really cared for him. He could only hope that his actions showed her that he reciprocated the same feelings. Jordan nodded his head, smiling now that their serious moment had flittered past, bringing back the playfulness that he was so accustomed to. “Eh, I’m a simple guy I suppose.” He stated with a shrug of his shoulders, regarding her with a smile. His gaze softened slightly as she made one of the most adorable puppy-faces that he had ever seen, “aww, Emi you’re so adorable!” he gushed, like a child meeting their favourite pop star, before he settled back into a small grin. The boy arched an eyebrow at her dramatic sigh, an amused grin all ready pulling at his lips at the prospect of her reply. He laughed loudly at her proclamation, “mhm, I can tell, what with that grin you always wear on your face and the bright red hair of yours.” As he mentioned her grin he poked her gently on the side of the mouth and when he mentioned her hair he tangled the end between his fingers before sitting back in his seat. “Eh, what can I say, I guess I’m just the kinda guy who people and death can be obsessed with.” He stated while crossing his arms over his chest smugly, a small silly smirk on his lips. When Emi called him on not liking when people touched his hair he had to sit back a minute, she was absolutely right, he hated it when people touched his hair. “Uhm, different scenario?” he offered up with a small shrug. Jordan shook his head at her offer, “I appreciate the offer and everything, but I think I’ll stay away from the sadists, I’m not that much into pain, I’m a bit of a baby actually.” He stated, playfully trying to talk himself down. “Oh and before you point it out, I am completely aware that I just contradicted myself by saying that I like it rough, yet I’m a baby, so no need to point it out.” He added on through a small laugh as he shook his head.
Jordan raised his eyebrows as she called him a dick, a small bit of shock registering on his face for a flittering moment before he a grin settled on his face. Obviously the girl was joking, and he didn’t have to wait for her signature smile for him to tell him that, just her being around was enough to say that she thought otherwise. A sly grin turned his lips up as he regarded her carefully, “I now know why you’re always so mean to me.” He stated, pausing to create suspense. “You like me, like, like like.” He stated while putting emphasis on the last two likes, as in she had a crush on him. The thought was slightly absurd, because even though he could be daft sometimes when it came to girls he was pretty sure he could pick up on whether or not she actually had a crush on him. Still though, it would be fun to see the girls reaction. Jordan scoffed and rolled his eyes as her snobbish persona surfaced once again, biting back the smile at the same time. “Well thanks for the complement dear, you make me feel so wanted.” He stated sarcastically while turning his head as if she had hurt his feelings. He let his gaze drift back to the girl, admiring how her contagious laughter caused a smile to grown on his face. Of course it wasn’t long before she had moved onto the next topic, another smile on her lips. “Yeah, sorry babe, you’ll get used to it eventually.” He stated with a wide smile. “That is also true, probably change your opinion of me.” He teased with a wink. Truthfully, he didn’t think that her opinion of him would change all that much, he couldn’t recall one time where he thought anything negative about the girl, so he knew that wasn’t an issue. There were times, however where he would just find himself thinking that Emi was the perfect woman, which then would lead him to thinking that he might actually want to be more than just friends, which would then lead him to zoning out and having lots of conflicting thoughts. With that in his head he refocused on the girl, a smirk playing on the edge of his lips. “Bring it on, darling.” He stated firmly, nodding his head.
“damn straight, cuteiest little kitty this side of California.” He beamed proudly, as if she just praised him in the highest way possible. Had he actually been a cat he might just have purred when she scratched behind his ears, although it was a playful gesture, it felt kind of good. Now he knew why cats always tried to get you to pet their heads, they knew what felt good. That’s why he loved cats, they were really smart, perhaps even the smartest animals, plus they were independent. You could leave out food and they wouldn’t eat it all in one sitting like a dog would, so they’d be set for the whole day. Though there was one thing that he loved about dogs, they were very loyal and always willing to play, unlike cats. Cats, he found, were very preferential and if you wanted to play you had to do it when they wanted. Either way, he planned on having a cat and a dog when he settled down with a family. Jordan took her hand and patted it softly, “I’m sure I won’t, but if you ever need to talk to someone I’ll be here for you.” He said sympathetically before dropping her hand and chuckling lightly. Jordan laughed as she continued her assault on him, especially as she kissed his neck, he could be ticklish during certain circumstances; mostly during playful situations like right now. Reluctantly Jordan allowed the girl to pull away, even though, as cliché as it was, he found himself liking the way that she fit into his arms. Though they were no longer physically touching, the fact that they were still holding each other’s gazes was enough to make him feel like they were still sharing a special connection. Jordan pulled his gaze away from the girls, suddenly aware of the fact that he liked looking into her eyes way too much. He caught sight of the various people around that were looking at them with curious gazes, he shifted in his stance lightly before his hand reached up to touch the silver owl around his neck. “People are staring at us, its freaking me out.” He said in a whisper as he let his gaze drift back to Emi.
His eyebrows shot up slightly, shaking his head at her statement. “Me? Borning? Hah, unlikely.” He stated while crossing his arms over his chest, matching her stance. He had an inkling that she might be working her way up to trying to convince him into doing the bikini contest and in all likely hood if she kept on him it was a good possibility that it could happen. He raised his eyebrow at her question, regarding her suspiciously; he wasn’t sure what angle she was trying to work here. He shrugged his shoulders, trying to act all nonchalant about it, so as not to get suckered into anything too fast. “well yeah, that’s a given, but I know you too well, what are you getting at?” he said, curiosity mixed with a bit of arrogance as he regarded her. Jordan thought that she might have been trying to appeal to his competitive side, which was always a way to go. With certain things he had been known to get quite competitive, while with other things he wasn’t interested at all. Jordan only smirked as her eyes fell to his abdomen, she really didn’t have a choice, he even noticed that a few passersby had unwillingly looked. A burst of laughter fell from his lips as he was told it wasn’t fair to stop there, his laughter continued as she asked if she only had to ask. “Well babe, if you really wanna see more I could give you a private show later.” he stated as he raised an eyebrow, a smirk ever growing on his lips. “Or if you’re into that whole other people watching thing, I guess we could give it a try.” He added on, tapping his chin thoughtfully as he pretended to mull it over, suppressing a grin.

Teenage dreams in a teenage circusRunning around like a clown on purpose - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Emi flashed a wide cheerful smile, when Jordan stated that he wouldn't want to experience something as cool as pigs flying with anyone else but her. Even though it was said in a playful tone of voice, and he furthermore rolled his eyes at her, she was pretty sure that if pigs really could fly, he would watch it with her. She was used to when they were joking around that there was always a certain truth to what they spoke. She loved the times she had with Jordan and all the joking their relationship seemed to be able to handle. It barely ever happened that you would find someone so alike in matters like this. It had actually never happened to the bright redheaded girl before. Not before she met Jordan, that is. However, as much as she appreciated their long fun days together, she loved the more casual and relaxed evenings, when they just talked. Sometimes of small things, sometimes of big things. About problems or just expressions of their opinions on things. The times Emi would have turned into the headstrong girl she could be around some people. But she really listened to Jordan and took what he said to heart in these special moments, where her stubbornness could have turned everything ugly. Sometimes she felt like she had known him for years. Yes, she had indeed met the one person on this planet that matched her perfectly. Like they were each their part of a beautiful piece of music. Each part sounded beautiful in it's own way – but together it was a perfect masterpiece. There was absolutely no doubt that Emi trusted Jordan with heart and soul in those moments. They were the clearest memories from their time together on her mind in fact. And the nights where they talked like that and she fell asleep in his arms during a movie or so could easily be called some of the best nights of her life. Silly, huh? ”Of course you wouldn't!” she started as a teasing twinkle reached her eyes. ”Something that cool is to be experienced with a person equally cool” she finished and her voice trailed into a soft chuckle. With those words she made it clear that she was a person of such coolness, but also that he was too; since she decided to watch it with him; well, sorta. Given that the pigflying was impossible, he would just have to take it as a compliment of both of their coolness. She sighed at his next words and shook her head. ”Yeah. What would you do without me?” she said with a nod and smiled teasingly in his direction. ”Are you attending your classes?” she asked him with a raised eyebrow but with tease written in her beautiful orange-brown eyes. ”Since you have nothing in that empty head of yours” she said and patted him on the head a few times with a sly grin on her lips. She laughed out, when he compared her to his mother. ”I hope not!” she laughed and shook her head. She continued when she had the laughing in control: ”I'd very much like to be the ordinary 19 year old I am, thank you” she stated with a smile still resting on her lips as she played with a lock of her bright red, curly hair. She shrugged a little. ”I guess, we are.. But it's okay because we're cooler than all the other kids”
She nodded while carefully regarding him and listening to his words. She knew herself, how bad memories still could hurt even after a long time. For instance; she had been bullied because of her circus-background back in her year in high school in Denmark. It still hurt today when someone talked badly of where she came from. Just the memory made her turn numb. It was the only time of her life she had been ashamed of her past. When Jordan squeezed her hand she woke up again from her depressive thoughts and softly stroked the back of his fingers with her thumbs. ”I know how that feels” she told him to show that she supported him because she knew how it was herself with memories and left it at that. She had never really told him of that time of her life and she'd much rather leave it behind her that open up that wound once more. She allowed herself to light up in a smile, when he laughed. ”Not the OCD-thing of course, but the memories showing up again” she corrected herself with a laughter. ”As long as you're okay” she then said and watched him as his expression turned back to it's usual self again and they moved on to happier subjects. She finally let go of his hands but still had hers on the table. It was actually a comfortable way to sit. She couldn't hold back the laugh when he seemed to fall for her puppyface. ”I know, I am! That's the whole point” she said and rolled her eyes before winking to him and smiling teasingly. She raised both eyebrows when he laughed loudly at her statement and afterwards commented on it. She followed his finger as he poked the side of her mouth and afterwards tangled it into her red hair. She kept smiling a little, before she looked back to him. She especially liked it, when he played with her hair like that. It made her shiver slightly and barely visible. She had this weakness for when people were nuzzling her hair one way or another. ”You know, I could be in disguise.. In reality I'm a blackhaired unhappy emo” she stated in a tease when she got herself together. She tilted her head slightly to the side while running her gaze up and down his face and upper body as he told her, he was one to be obsessed with. ”I see what you mean. Good, I'm immune” she winked at him and looked into his eyes again, locking gazes with him. She laughed when he kept on making contradictions. At one side he hated people touching his hair and he was a bit of a baby, but on the other side he liked it rough and someone pulling his hair and all. ”And you said, that you're a simple guy. Jeez.. You're just as complicated as any girl” she playfully rolled her eyes at him and smiled with tease.
Emi arched both her eyebrows when he stated that she liked him as in had a crush on him. Which was sort of true. She was slightly fascinated with him at this point, but she had no doubts that it could easily turn into a real infatuation anytime. Just the time they had spent together today made it worse. And it was all bad. For a moment, she considered just straight out telling him. But before saying anything she changed her mind well-knowing that if she did that now, it would be way too early and it would never lead to anything of the sorts she hoped. Her wish was that one day he'd figure out he was in love and tell her, but the odds: Not very good. So she was waiting patiently for the right time to tell him. And that was not now. ”no.. I love you. There's a big difference. And babe, I already told you that. Remember that Danish saying: 'The ones you love, you hurt'?” she said with a smile in her eyes and on her lips. It was the best way to not admit to anything. Her eyes went all warm after the snobbish act as he sarcastically mentioned being wanted. ”You are wanted, my love” she told him with a warm gaze as she tilted her head to the side and smiled. In that moment she looked at him as if he was all that mattered to her. She did that for a while before finally returning to her usual playful look. ”I don't know if I will, but I can always try” she stated with a nod. She laughed gently and watched him considerably ”You think so? What are you not telling me, babe?” she said with an eyebrow raised while leaning forward slightly so he could tell her his secret without other people hearing it. ”Believe me, I will”
She giggled at his beaming and tilted her head ever so slightly to the right side. He did look cute with that sort of face – all proud of himself and all. Even when it was done as an act. ”Oh yes. Such a pretty little kittycat. If you come with me home, I can probably find some fishy for you” she teased him and ruined his hair once again because she could! She giggled when his hair was all over the place. She liked being able to do things he'd normally hate. Like messing his hair or laughing when he OCD'ed. He just never took it really badly when it came from her. Just as she allowed him to do things to her that she'd be mad at other for. How could two people be so well for each other but still not be able to be together as a couple. She winked at him and looked down when he once again took her hand in his and patted it with pity. ”You are the last person I would talk to about my difficulties with being a babe. Unless you prove your worth” she wiggled her eyebrows at him and smiled challenging in his direction. Her eyes went all sly and devious to warn him that it would take a lot to become worth it. Well, in her tease at least. In reality, she'd trust him with anything. She felt his reluctance when she pulled away and the smile was not to hide from her face because of that fact. It felt so safe to be tugged into his arms and the fact that he enjoyed it as much as she did was a bless for her. She followed his gaze as he glanced away and watched people. And all of a sudden, he had his hand up by the silver owl, as usual when he felt nervous or so. She tilted her head gently to the side and listened to him. ”Then come along” she answered him back in a soft, caring voice as she gently took the hand he was holding the owl with in hers and started walking while still having his hand in hers. ”Where do you want to go?” she asked him with a smile on her lips to make him feel more at ease. The rest of the time they talked while walking.
She arched her eyebrows and looked at him with that considerate gaze directed into his. ”Are you completely sure of that?” she asked him challenging as if she didn't believe at all that he was unlikely to be boring. She teased him around with it. She knew that he didn't like being called boring and all – just like she refused to be called boring herself when she did her best to be fun to be with. They were very much alike like that. ”If you look good in anything.. Shouldn't you look good in a bikini too?” she asked him with an arched brow and the competitive expression in her eyes as she watched him with tease. She would surely bring a camera if he decided to try it anyway. ”I'll make you a deal.. If you enter, I will too.. Possibly” she said and wiggled her eyebrows slightly at him. She looked as if the really considered his offers of either a private show or public. As she stood there tapping her cheek like he was tapping his chin. A bit of a copier. ”Hmm.. I think the private show will do just fine” she replied with a nod and smirked.

I’VE LEARNED TO TALK WITH MY FINGERS THE ONLY VOICE THAT WAKES MY EARS
• • • • • • • • • Jordan nodded as the girl spoke, completely agreeing with her. That had been exactly what he had been thinking when he uttered his previous statement regarding pig flying. “Mhm, glad you see it my way.” He knew that he didn’t have to fully elaborate on the subject for the reason that he knew Emi would understand everything behind it. Being with Emi and not having to communicate his every though for her to understand what he is talking about it almost like having a twin sister, except for the fact that he’s not related to her so its okay or him to think that she’s hot. So he guessed it was more like having a best friend, which was sort of weird to think about because he had never really had a best friend, or rather never had the thought to call someone his best friend. That’s not to say that he never had friends, or close friends for that matter, he just never had someone that was worth calling his best friend. He had known a lot of people in his twenty two years, or rather since he began elementary school that was. He made friend and lost the very same friends that he had made within the same year. Conflict of personality, he didn’t want to trade his Peanut butter and jelly for the bologna sandwich. Of course as the years went on and he got older he found more friends and lost more friends, all due to getting to know them better only to learn that they weren’t compatible; too many differences, not enough similarities to keep them together. There were a few in his days that he had come across that were almost worth the title of best friend, but of course there always had to be conflicts to ruin everything. With Emi though, he had yet to find himself in a conflict, they simply had so many similarities and very little differences. Jordan shrugged his shoulders, staring at the girl innocently after her teasing question. “I always attend all of my classes Emi.” Of course that was not true, he didn’t always attend his classes, but what person did go to all of their classes? He grinned at the girl at her next comment, “They just don’t have pertinent info sometimes, so I just don’t recall the info.” He replied through a laugh. The brunette boy raised an eyebrow at her comment about being ordinary. “Ordinary isn’t the word I was use, but okay sweetheart.” He joked while his eyes went to the hair she was twirling around. He grinned at the girl, her final comment on the subject amusing and exactly what he was thinking. It was like he thought it and she said it. “Damn straight sugar pie.” He stated while nodding his head.
The boy watched carefully as Emi seemed to recall some of her own terrible memories that no doubt she wished she could forget. He frowned lightly, seeing at it was his fault that she was even thinking about such spirit crushing things in the first place. If he wasn’t such a nostalgia freak, even with the negative things in the past, then she never would have been thinking about what ever memories plagued her in the first place; he hated being responsible for things like that. “I’m sorry that you do know how that feels, its balls, people can be so mean.” He stated while shaking his head, truly sorry that a person as great as Emi would be able to understand what it felt like to be bullied. He laughed along with her at her next statement, glad that they were able to move so quickly past such negative things. “yeah, me and my OCD are just fine, thanks for asking.” He joked while shaking his head, smiling at her playfully. Jordan nodded, “ahh of course, just promise me you’ll use you’re adorable powers for good, no evil.” He stated seriously, holding back a grin only for a few seconds. He raised an eyebrow as she said she could be in disguise, “Well damn Emi, if that’s the truth that’s one good disguise, but I should probably do this.” He paused and leaned over the table, ruffling her hair with both his hands, “just to be sure that your gorgeous red hair wasn’t really a wig.” He stated through a laugh before sitting back in his seat. Jordan crossed his arms over his chest and raised an eyebrow as he watched Emi look him up and down, he scoffed at her statement. “Yeah okay Emi, whatever you say, I’ve seen you check me out before.” He teased lightly, wiggling his eyebrows at her as he held her gaze. Jordan raised his hand in a placating manner, “yeah well, maybe that’s why were such good friends, cuz I’m complicated like a girl, but I’m a guy, so I don’t create useless drama out of my complicatedness.” He stated while nodding his head, a silly grin on his lips at his little explanation. He was such a dork sometimes that it was hard to believe.
Jordan watched the girl carefully, looking for any sign that might indicate that he had been correct. Not that he was really looking to see how she felt exactly about him, because all that would do is confuse him to no end. Jordan liked to know about things, but just enough so that he knew what was going on, but not enough to put him in a position where he would have to make a difficult decision. He didn’t like making difficult decisions, which is why he now tended to stay away from situations that caused him to make difficult decision, or any decision that could turn out to hurt someone emotionally; all in all, he hated to make decisions. He observed as she raised her eyebrows, which didn’t really tell him anything, other than the fact that she was thinking something about his statement. It could have been surprise, or amusement, or confusion, any of those three he could attribute to raised eyebrows. Jordan nodded his head, a smile on his face at her statement; she had gotten him there, that was for sure. A very diplomatic admittance if he said so himself. “Ahh yes, I do recall you saying something like that, not nice dear Emi.” He stated while smiling at the girl. For a brief moment he flirted with the idea of what he would have done if she had in fact admitted that she had a crush on him, he imagined that he probably would have looked away and started stuttering incoherent things and began to wish that he never even goaded her into answering the question in the first place. It wasn’t that he didn’t like the girl, no he loved the girl, it was just that he wasn’t certain how far that love extended, as of yet anyway. The more time he spent with the girl, the more he grew to love her and the more he found himself entertaining the idea of what it would be like to be her boyfriend. He shook his idea at the thought, at the moment he was not looking for any sort of relationship; he knew that he would not be ready to handle the responsibilities. “Yeah I know, I just like to hear you say it.” He joked while returning the warm smile. He nodded at her statement, as long as she would try, that’s all he could really ask of her. Jordan shrugged his shoulders and looked away innocently as she leaned forward and asked what he wasn’t telling her. “I tell you everything.” he paused to look back at her, a cheeky grin on his lips. “well everything that relates to you anyway.” He finished while grinning from ear to ear, trying to slowly navigate away from this topic.
Had Jordan been a cat he may just have purred, her rubbing his head, even though it messed up his hair, was nice and soothing. It was like when he had a shower and washed his hair after days of grime and dirt and he just scrubbed and scrubbed, massaging his head and neck, it was great. Jordan wrinkled his nose as she mentioned the fish, “how about I just come to your place and instead of fish you can give me a beer?” he asked through a laugh as he fixed his hair, smoothing it into place. He combed his fingers through his hair, until he was satisfied that all of the knots were out and it was returned to its silky smooth, delicious smell perfect. “I should start carrying a brush around with me, so that I can fix my hair when you mess it up.” He said, more to himself than anything. Lots of girls did it, and he even knew a couple of guys that kept combs in their pockets, it was way handy. Jordan dropped her hand, shaking his head before slapping his hand over his heart playfully. “Emi, I know you hurt the people you love and all, but I can only take so much hurt because obviously I am worthy.” He lamented playfully, grinning at the girl. “I mean, I am also somewhat of a babe, just go ask those girls in the coffee shop, I’m sure they can vouch for me.” He added smirking lightly at the girl.
As he was looking around at all the people staring at him as Emi and he shared another moment that he didn’t want to end, he found himself toying with the owl to keep his mind off of all the conflicting thoughts. Though his silver charm was doing little to stop all of the thoughts that were bouncing around in his mind, from one side of his skull to the other. He wasn’t exactly sure why all of the sudden he became so self conscious, but he had a few inclinations. Normally he wouldn’t have given a damn at all, he was Jordan Dredd and only the opinions of his friends mattered, not that of strangers on the street. This time was different, maybe because it was Emi and their actions were bordering slightly on boyfriend girlfriend stuff, which they were not. That being said, anything of that sort, no matter how nice, could screw up any possible friends with benefits or flings, or potential one night stands that he may have had in the works. After all, word of mouth spread like wildfire around this town, especially when two students, from opposite schools are sporting such amorous behavior. If that got back to any of the girls that he was currently dealing with, well it could put the kibosh on anything that he may have worked up, which at this point was not an option because he wasn’t looking for a relationship, so he needed to satisfy his needs somehow. No matter how selfish those thoughts were, it was partly the truth because he wasn’t ready to be anything more than friends with benefits with someone at the moment, and that was a personal flaw that he was going to have to work though. Though, there could be an upside to that, if word did get back and his current friends with benefits flaked on him because they thought he had a girlfriend that would force him to face his feelings which could turn out for the better. He shook his head, dismissing the selfish, self-conscious thoughts as the girl took his hand. “Ahah that’s a good question.” He stated, completely feeling back to his usual self, trying to play off the whole minor change in personality. After a moment of pondering and coming up with nothing he shrugged his shoulders and looked back to the girl. ” let’s just wander around until something amusing catches our eye.” he suggested while nodding his head slightly, as if the idea was great.
”Yup I am completely sure that I, Jordan Andrew Dredd am not boring.” He claimed while staring at the girl, determined to prove himself right all the while trying not to avoid getting trapped into doing something embarrassing. Though, if she kept goading him into the bikini contest he might just go along with it, and perhaps at least entertain the idea before shooting it down completely. After all what was that saying, don’t knock it before you try it? Jordan wasn’t normally one to do that, especially when it came to a challenge, but there were some lines that he should probably never cross. Jordan chuckled, nodding appreciatively at her next statement; he surely set himself up for that fall. “As logic and reason dictate, I should look good in a bikini, but that doesn’t mean I should actually test it out just to prove that fact.” He replied while looking at the girl, pretending like he didn’t notice the very competitive expression that now adorned her pretty face. Apparently she was dead set on getting him to enter the bikini contest, too bad he was as equally dead set on not entering the bikini contest. Jordan arched a brow at her extended offer, well possible extended offer. “Hmm.” He stated, turning his eyes to the sky as if he were actually considering the offer. As much as it would please him to see the girl in a bikini, he was sure there were easier, less embarrassing ways to get the girl into a bikini. “As tempting as that is, I’m going to have to turn it down.” He finally stated, returning his gaze to the girl, a stubborn smirk on his lips. Jordan regarded the girl carefully as she actually appeared to be considering his offer; he met her smirk with one of his own as she answered. “Good, I was hoping you’d say that. So what do we say, nine tonight then?” his tone was playful, but the devilish smirk that curled his lips up held a hint of seriousness to it, as if to bait the girl to see if she would actually accept the playful invitation further.
