& THEN I KNEW YOU WERE TREATED LIKE HELLI took a deep breath and exhaled slowly as possible, keeping my eyes off of him in the silence that grew. Was it the silence that meant he didn’t care as much as he did? Or was it the fact that I wanted to hear him say that he meant it so I wouldn’t have to keep guessing how much I meant to him. In all honesty, if I meant a lot to him then I’d stop in my ways. If I meant as much as I thought I did, I’d never have to go searching again. But was it our friendship that kept him from wanting to be more? I knew we’d end up being a great couple and hopefully one that would last. I mean, I loved him. What more were there to say?
I nodded to him after he said, “my world,” and felt this heaviness lift off of my chest. I watched him shake his head and get up and walk into the kitchen. He lit up another cigarette and I slightly smiled to myself. I moved down and sat on the couch, looking off in his direction. “you know, you’re everything to me.” I paused before looking to the ground and running a hand through my bright red hair and letting it fall into my face. “Absolutely everything.. and I wouldn’t change a thing other than my single status if you’d want me to.” I said softly, knowing just how damn cheesy that was.

THE DRUG IN ME IS YOU
Smoking the cigarette in the kitchen, I lent back against the counter. Listening to her, I just kept taking small drags from it. Smiling some from her words, I just nodded some. Putting it out in a cup, walked back to the couch. Standing behind her, I kissed the top of her head. “I want you to be whatever you want to be baby. Change whatever you want, but just stay my Sparrow.”

& THEN I KNEW YOU WERE TREATED LIKE HELL I smiled up at him and got up, taking his hands into my own and laced my fingers with his and rested my head on his chest a little before looking back up at him and smiling. I let go of his hands before wrapping him up in a hug. “Id change anything for you, love.” I purred to him before taking a step back and glanced at my phone for the time; ignoring the messages I had. I looked up at him. “I guess I’m yours. I’m always going to be your Sparrow as long as you’ll always be my Butternuts. Savvy?” I smiled to him. “You wanna go get some drinks and we can celebrate?” I asked quietly with my bright white smile hiding behind my red lips.

Hugging her back, I smiled before laughing some. “I’ll always be your Butternuts no matter what.” Kissing her forehead softly, I smiled before letting her go. “That sounds good to me.” Giving her a smile, I pulled out my phone feeling it go off. Looking at the text, I just deleted it before putting the phone back into my pocket. I think I deleted more messages than I actually read. That’s what happens when I knew idiots.

& THEN I KNEW YOU WERE TREATED LIKE HELL I let go of him and smiled, walking over to the kitchen and grabbing a plate and putting on some pizza. I got some more pepsi and walked over sitting down on the couch and flipping the tv on. “You wanna watch anything? Oh, and I settled with pepsi since I don’t know where your liquor closet is here…” I let a small laugh out. I set the pizza on the nightstand and flipped through the channels looking for anything interesting.

Sitting back down, I watched her walk back to the kitchen. Slumping down some, I exhaled a breath of relief. Honestly, I felt much better now. Looking over at her, I just shook my head no before putting my head on her shoulder. “I don’t even know where it is any more.” Laughing some, I shrugged. “I just drink everyone else stuff. But I think its in one of them cabinets.”

& THEN I KNEW YOU WERE TREATED LIKE HELL Nodding to him, i exhaled and left it on some random channel before closing my eyes and setting everythign i had on the nightstand before cuddling up next to him, resting my head on his chest and just engulfing myself in him. I smiled lightly to myself before clearing my throat. "eh, we'll figure it out later. I just wanna cuddle with my baby butternuts." I smiled and nuzzled my head into his chest some with a gentle grin.
