we touch, i feel a rush we clutch, it isn't much As much as Karsyn loved school, it was becoming increasingly difficult. Sure, she still flew through her work and most times surpassed the kids who had taken the class one, two, three times and failed every time. She found herself putting it off, distracting herself with other things like working out at the gym or EMT training. It always got completed - Karsyn made sure of turning her assignments in completed and on time. She'd even considered changing her major - but then laughed at herself. Change her major? No way. the fact that she'd even considered it startled her, and she did her best to go back and focus. School work kept her focus, and kept her thinking from other things. It made her feel determined, and whenever Karsyn poured her heart into something, she made sure to be the best at it. School work? Graduated a year young with salutatory honors. Cheerleading? Became captain her sophomore year. Neurosurgeon? Check, she already had certification as an EMT.
Karsyn guessed she just needed a break. As she pushed away from her desk in the rolling office chair, she yawned and stretched her arms, her eyes wandering around the room. Her computer light illuminated the darkness around her, and she briefly became aware that she'd been working on her math paper for longer than she thought. A glance at the clock informed her it was nearing nine o'clock, and she sighed, rolling her eyes. Only she would spend more than four hours on a math paper. Who even assigned essays in math classes anyway? Oh yeah, college professors. Morons. She stood and grabbed her bathing suit off of her bed, stopping in front of the mirror on her door. She grabbed the flyer for a bonfire party she had taped to her mirror, reading over the details. It had started at nine, so she wouldn't be too late. A quick shower, a change, throw some clothes over her bathing suit, and Karsyn was on her way.
Honestly, Karsyn knew no one at the party she was headed to. Some guy had shoved a flyer in her hands as she walked from one class to another, and she decided to attend. Why not? As much as she hated everyone, a good party and a few drinks wouldn't kill her. If anything, she'd go home with a good buzz and sleep like a baby, for once. No waking up from a nightmare. Her step-dad's birthday present to her, a Mazda 5, got her to the beach easily, and she stepped out, wrapping her jacket around her as she meandered over the sand to the fire that attracted her eyes. A few guys were already drunk falling over themselves, others with mingling and dancing to the music coming from a stereo someone brought, and others were in secluded areas, doing things everyone knew about.
Catching the eye of the guy who invited her, she gave a small nod, her face kept neutral. She grabbed a can of beer from the cooler set up a few feet from the fire, popped it open, and sat down by the warmth of the fire, swallowing the foamy liquid. In a few moment she'd be tipsy enough to go and dance. For now she wanted to sit, and drink her beer.

& all those who look down on me
As usual, Chance showed up to the occasion with his typical group of friends. Some were the loudest assholes, while others were quite the opposite. He commonly hung out with the more relaxed people, but it was amusing to cruise with the idiots for a while, too. Just to see what stupid shit they would do under his command. He often went with the social norm; parties, or wherever the action was. It was kind of interesting, though, because the place they were going to be hanging out at wasn't only for the Luxford students. But, did it matter much? Not exactly. He wasn't exactly looking for a No-Balls-Balston kid to pick on, he was just looking for a fun time. A night to get away from all the stress and realities of what ironically would face him the next morning. He wanted a breather.
Hopping out of his fancy, black Corvette, Chance and a couple of his friends headed toward the beach. Furrowing his brow in attempt to spot the commotion around the bonfire, he waddled closer to the crowd. His little group and him chit chatted and greeted all the other people they recognized, a few going off to chuck something in the bonfire. Chance headed off to snatch himself his first drink. His green eyes scanned the people nearby, fixating on a select person. One of his closer buddies, Tom, who came after him, nudged his elbow urgently. "You want that one?" Tom said with a smirk, and looked him in the eye. Chance stared at Tom, eyebrows raising slowly, before laughing and looking away. He shook his head. "You don't think I can do this shit on my own?!" "Just noticed was all!" Chance gave a 'pff' and stuck a drink in Tom's hand. "Go get your own ladies, huh?" He took a sip of his own drink, casually making his way toward the brunette he spotted.
He made his way past the dance floor, turning his body to fit through people and a few feet from her. Was she even with anyone? The corners of his mouth tugged into a toothy grin as he plopped into the empty spot beside her, giving no damn as to who was sitting here or if anyone would be. All he had on were board shorts. Who cared, really? They were at the beach, and Chance definitely wasn't one to be shameful of his body. "Hey," he said in an uplifting tone, looking at her. "You new?" He was usually pretty smooth at this stuff. She was either going to be flattered, or weirded the hell out. He just hoped she would find it amusing, like him. Either way, he'd make it work. "Big fire, huh?!" He took a sip outta his drink, green, expectant eyes glancing to the roaring monster of flame.

we touch, i feel a rush we clutch, it isn't much Her beer was almost gone, and the after taste she always got from it she hated, but she knew that either way, she'd go back and get another. Then one more, and she'd go dance. Karsyn raised her hand, bringing the can to her lips for her last swallow. She was planning on standing up just as another figure plopped down beside her. She'd been staring at the fire - otherwise, she was usually good at avoiding people when she wanted to. Obviously, this time she failed. Giving a slight sigh, Karsyn kept a pointed, fixed stare on the fire, figuring whoever had decided to "grace" her presence was one of two things: a high school kid who'd crashed this meet up, or some girl with no balls to go make friends somewhere else. About to speak up, she stopped, hearing what he was saying.
"I'm not new." She interjected, shaking her head. Well, that was a new one. Usually the way guys tried to pick her up was "sympathy" for what happened two summers ago. Karsyn gave a small snort, rolling her eyes and shaking her head once more. With that she turned to see who indeed was sitting next to her. Her eyes widened a little, and she bit her lip. Definitely not a high schooler or shy little girl. This was one fine piece of man. The look on her face, though, probably looked a little weirded out and definitely bewildered. Why was he talking to her? Plenty of other girls were here tonight. "He probably just thinks you're easy, Karsyn," a small voice in her head reminded her. That could also be true. She shrugged at his next question, the look on her face dulling to a slight frown as she stared again at the fire, the empty beer can held in her hand lightly. "Well... if I'm not mistaken, it's a bonfire. Isn't the fire supposed to be big?" Well, duh.
He definitely was on the list of sexiest men who've spoken to her... but so what? Giving a slight yawn, she then hopped up from her seat near the fire. "Catch ya later," She breathed, giving him one of those half smiles Karsyn usually bore. With that she turned, tossing the metal can into a local garbage bag. She kept a clean, long stride right to where everything was. she tossed a casual look over her shoulder, really just looking to see where the boy who'd been sitting next to her had gone.

& all those who look down on me
A couple kids ran up to the fire and chucked in a couple of random objects, 'oohing' and 'awe'ing at the response the fire gave to the different material. Chance watched idly, while waiting for a response, before glancing back at the chick he plopped beside. "I'm not new." Oh, damn! Maybe if she was in such a Negative Nancy mood, she shouldn't even be at the goddamn bonfire. That wolf grin crept on his face all over again. It grew even more when she proceeded to snort and roll her fucking eyes. Was this girl serious? He couldn't help but snort a laugh. The heck? He was dead staring at her with those green eyes, that big wolf grin still on his face, when she glanced his way. He raised his brows a bit at her reaction, giving her face a quick glance over - just to see what she really looked like. Her bewildered look was absolutely hilarious to him. She looked like a deer caught in headlights.
Right when he thought he was getting somewhere, or off to some great start, she just turned away. And totally shrugged off what he said. Damn, usually the girls he ran into would be twirling their fingers through their blonde hair, and giggling so much it would piss him off. But, hey, despite that, he was usually pretty good at hitting it off. What was up this lady's ass? Maybe brunettes were different story. "Well... if I'm not mistaken, it's a bonfire. Isn't the fire supposed to be big?" "..Yeah?" The fuck? He laughed a bit. Lady, why. Why. They came in all different forms, didn't they? He was convinced most were the devil, reincarnated in some sort of upgraded form of seductive. But, hey, there were some ups to woman. All he wanted was to talk to Miss Prissy, damn.
...
Did she just yawn, too?! "Catch ya later, Oh no. No. He sat there for a minute, and just stared after her with a weirded out look. She was playing hard to get, and he was not gonna give up that easily. He took another sip of his beer before hopping up and striding casually after her. Then, she turned and looked at him. What? Why'd she do that? He locked eye contact and lifted and dropped his brows once, grinning once more. "So quick to run somewhere, huh? What are ya shy.." He stopped beside her, and took another sip out of the beer. "Didn't even catch ya name-.. Hey." He pointed at the trash can she just tossed her can into. "There isn't any way you're 21, either. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you don't look it! Ha. 'Promise I won't tell, though." He flashed another toothy, white grin, eyes on her face. She was either gonna laugh this off or be pissed as hell. Good thing he didn't get all butthurt about what she did. Plus, even if it didn't work out, there were plenty of fish out in the sea. He was a pretty confident guy, maybe a little too confident at times. "Look, had no idea you weren't new. Just haven't seen you around 's all. You go to Luxford?" He stepped around in his spot a bit, sand shuffling, eyes still on her. He wasn't at all nervous, he just found this entertaining.

we touch, i feel a rush we clutch, it isn't much When she turned and looked after him, he actually made eye contact, as if she just didn't walk away from him. Her brown eyes stared back for a minute, her mouth curving into a small frown. Then she just looked abruptly away, keeping her eye on the prize: another beer. Had he caught her when she was already drunk, he might've had her wrapped around his finger. Maybe. But she wasn't, and right now her judgement was...he popped up next to her, and Karsyn gritted her teeth, listening to what he was saying before letting out a small, dry laugh. "You caught me. I'm not twenty one." she shrugged her shoulders, reaching the cooler where the beer was being kept. She knew he was joking, trying to be a good sport. He was cute, trying to talk to her, and honestly, Karsyn had no idea why she was treating him like this. He was definitely worth it, but again, the bitch manners she'd took after just took over. Damn it.
For a minute, she ignored all his questions and statements, popping open a Corona and chugging down a good amount, licking her lips gently. se put the can to her lips, ready to take another sip before stating, "Karsyn. My name's Karsyn." There, he could ingest that while she took another sip of her beer, letting the coolness of it slide down her throat. "I'm nineteen, and yeah, I go to Luxford. And so do you. Know how I know?" She smirked a little, her free hand running through her hair, pushing it out of her face. "You guys never let anything go." Her eyes boldly met his, purposely staring, even as she sipped at the beer again.
"So, what's your deal?" Karsyn asked pointedly, her eyes finally flicking towards a bunch of guys by the fire who were laughing around, shoving each other and staring down girls. Ew. Men were so gross - but even as much as she hated them, she liked them. Weird. Her attention finally turned back to this boy who surprisingly hadn't given up on her. "You know, give me the whole deal. Age, name, why you chose me out of the other fifty girls here?" That part was a genuine question. Honestly, there were other girls more...what was the word...suitable? Yeah, suitable for him. The stupid, blonde ones who weren't at all like Miss "I'm a Year Ahead of my Class and I Bitch at Everyone." Yeah, ones who he probably would have had in the back of his car already, fooling around with. She gave a small laugh, a real one this time, brown eyes meeting his green.

& all those who look down on me
Chance eagerly waited for a response. A bitchy or friendly one. Or at least one! "You caught me. I'm not twenty one." "Ha-ha! I knew it." He rubbed his own jaw, green eyes still on her. Well, she definitely had alcohol before. Otherwise she'd be tipsy halfway through the can. Just a quick mental note. "Karsyn. My name's Karsyn." Karsyn? Car-sin? "Haven't heard of it before. Wish mine was as unique. Chance." He breathed out a laugh. "Yeah, what was my mom thinking? She shoulda kept the name for a dog." He shrugged and took another sip out of his beer. "I'm nineteen, and yeah, I go to Luxford. And so do you. Know how I know?" So, Karsyn finally decided to fess up a conversation, now did she? this made things easier for him. Maybe she wasn't such a grouch after all. Why did she say no in the first place, anyway? "You look older.. ah, how?" The can of beer was near empty. "You guys never let anything go." "Hahaha! Of course not." The sad part was that was probably true about him. And most Luxford students. What, was she gonna make a statement that she wasn't the same way? That she wasn't snobby like all the other girls?
"So, what's your deal?" He tossed the old can into the trashcan, with his eyes on her while she stared, before looking away and walking to the cooler. He flipped it over and took another one out. Cracking it open, his eyes met her's all over again. "You know, give me the whole deal. Age, name, why you chose me out of the other fifty girls here?" He raised his brows at her, grinning. "Already got my name.." He walked a bit away from her. His head stayed turned, eyes on her, and he nodded in a way as if to say, 'walk with me?' "21. At least I can legally drink, unlike some people.." He stifled a laugh. He waddle-walked next to her, bare feet scuffling through the cool sand. Still shirtless, of course, with a few tattoos. A few even had something to do with skating, but, a significant one was the one that ran along his inner forearm was marked with the name 'Christopher'. "And.. as for the last part.." He shrugged. "What did a hi ever do to anybody?" He looked at her, hands in his board short's pockets. "So, I'm guessing you aren't here with anyone, are ya? You came alone?" Sipping at the beer once again. "What if you get all drunk 'n you can't drive home? I'd have to be your escort. You shouldn't put these things on me, Karsyn!"

we touch, i feel a rush we clutch, it isn't much Karsyn rolled her eyes with a slight laugh at his joke about his name. "Chance is fine. At least your mom didn't go all Kardashian and name your sibling with the same letter to." Her younger sister was Karolina, so Karsyn and her had the same nickname too. His name was Chance. Classic, and she sort of felt it fit him. She shrugged, sipping at the drink once again. "21. At least I can legally drink, unlike some people." She smirked. "Yeah, I'm sure you've been drinking way before you turned 21, macho man." Okay, so he had game. He was cute. Maybe hooking up with him wouldn't be so bad. Just hit it and quit it, right? Smash and dash. Guys lived the same way, and Karsyn liked it, so she'd follow the same.
What did he do to her? Freak her out by the bonfire, that was for sure. She bit her lip, trying to hide the smile tugging at her lips. "You didn't do anything. But are you suggesting you will?" She shrugged, her eyes trailing down his body, eyeing his chest. All those tattoos... the only two Karsyn herself had were two butterflies. One on the curve of her neck, the other on the side of her upper back, both basically hidden by her hair and clothes. If he was going to show off his body, well hell. So would she. Discarding the drink she'd been sipping on, Karsyn removed the dress she had on over her bathing suit casually, tossing it over her shoulder. She noticed the Christopher one, and gave a small frown. Oh great. What if he was gay and was just trying to make friends... or if he had a baby mama and some drama...?
Ignoring all his nonsense about being her escort, she reached for his arm, the one with the name tattooed on it. "So, who's Christopher?" She wasn't one to hide her questions, especially with guys. She met his eyes expectantly, awaiting an answer. She wanted to know. Her own tattoos symbolized freedom. The one on her neck was the first one her mom allowed her to get at seventeen, a few months after her safe arrival back to her family. The second a gift from her step-dad when she completed her therapy sessions and "graduated" from her counselor. "I just want to know. You don't have to tell me."

& all those who look down on me
"Chance is fine. At least your mom didn't go all Kardashian and name your sibling with the same letter to." Well, that was ironic. He leaned his head over to her and said in a quieter tone, "Maybe we have the same mother.." He dropped his head back, glancing at the sky with a lazy grin before looking forward again. Yeah, his little brother also started with a 'C'. "Yeah, I'm sure you've been drinking way before you turned 21, macho man." "Nah, not me. I'm a Christian. Why would I do that? And why are you even saying that in that tone..? I mean, I don't drink now at all.." He even made expressions with his words, eyes wide and eyebrows raised - claiming innocent with his statement. Chance even hid his beer behind his back with a shrug. Obviously joking around with the girl.
"You didn't do anything. But are you suggesting you will?" Whoa, what? Was this girl really that paranoid? Maybe she'd confess to being some strong Christian for his remark or something. Although... he noticed that small smile she was trying to hide. Maybe she was just joking. Either way, he couldn't exactly stand the innocent 'im too good for you' kind of girl. As much as that seems great to look into and all for some healthy relationship, it seemed boring as hell. Karsyn didn't quite seem to be that type, but, hell could he know. He just met her as of what, twenty minutes ago? "What gave you the idea?.." His voice trailed off jokingly, head turning to glance at some people laughing like hyenas and having some fantastic time. A few were even stumbling over each other, alcohol spilling all over themselves. ..Wait, those were some of the idiots he arrived with. It would suck more than anything if Tom's brother, Todd, came running up and gave Karsyn and Chance some birds and bee's talk. God, fuck. No.
Glancing back at her, he took a quick double take. When did she start stripping? Were girls just sneaky like that or something? He looked forward, casually leading her away from the hyenas back there, and headed toward the bonfire. "We're gonna spark some of this flame, yeah? Help me find something to throw in." Then, all of the sudden, she started asking The Question he would rather avoid. "So, who's Christopher?" As much as he should know to expect questions as to why some guy's name is on his arm, it wasn't his favorite conversation. Well, at least they weren't getting into a heated moment when she asked. He had a chick ask that right before they were gonna get somewhere once. "I just want to know. You don't have to tell me." He gave a short laugh, eyes ahead of himself still. "Not that big of a deal. There for a reason." He tossed his beer in the trash can. He wasn't exactly eager to get real tipsy or anything, so he was most likely done for the night. "It's for my brother, Christopher. He died of Leukemia when he was six." He blew outta his lips with a 'pff', not sarcastically, just not knowing what else to say except that. Cause any second now would come the 'oh I'm sorry', or whatever people usually said. Yeah, well, Chance was sorry enough as it was about it. He waddle-walked closer to the bonfire, before halting, with his hands in his pockets. "Tough stuff but. Yeah. Got it as a remembrance thing, I guess. Well.. Anyway, so what are we gonna throw in it? You 'n all that hair?!" He didn't know why he even tried to change the topic that fast. He didn't wanna be some debby-downer. Maybe he just didn't know what else to say to the chick about his dead brother.

we touch, i feel a rush we clutch, it isn't much "Nah, not me. I'm a Christian. Why would I do that? And why are you even saying that in that tone..? I mean, I don't drink now at all.." Yeah, and she was Mother Theresa. Karsyn gave one of those "you're not really funny" smiles, running a finger through her hair, the usual small frown she bore pulling his lips down. She'd been here for at least twenty five minutes and she'd only met one person? She was doing something wrong..."What gave you the idea..?" Karsyn laughed at that. "Like I told you before. Fifty other girls here, some giving me death stares because you're chatting it up with me. I guess that's good, she started, looking pointedly across the bonfire at a few girls her eyes had adjusted on who had a fixed stare on them, talking to each other. "So that either means one of two things. They think you should be talking to them, or I'm just really good looking. And I'm betting on the second." She was just joking...well, at least about everything except for the girls. She had to admit - Chance was pretty hot. Hot enough she'd give other girls death stares if he were talking to them? Not so much. She shrugged. People didn't like her anyway. Besides, all they were probably saying was that Chance was only talking to her because she was the nutcase abducted girl. Girls were assholes.
Karsyn looked up to see Chance's eyes watching a few drunk fools, and she gave her own laugh. "They're cute. They stuck together all night." She followed him as he lead the way toward the bonfire, and as he said he wanted to throw something in, she picked up a few things off the sand as they walked - discarded notebook, a few sticks, a foam cup. Nothing huge or anything... "It's for my brother, Christopher. He died of Leukemia when he was six." All those things she'd been thinking earlier and it was about his brother...? Yeah, well that proved her theory about girls being assholes. She looked up to him but found he was keeping his glance straight ahead of him. She knew exactly what not to say - the whole sorry ordeal. She'd hated hearing it coming home, she was sure he didn't want to hear it either. So, she said nothing. He changed the subject, and she was going to drop it. If it had been something else she wanted information about, Karsyn would sure have been more pressing. But she barely knew this guy, and he obviously didn't want to talk about his brother. "If you throw me in..." she started with a smile, looking up at him with her hand on her hip, "You're going in right with me." She shook her head, and then offered him one of the things she'd picked up. Sure, there were plenty of other things to throw in, like beer bottles and cans that would spark nicely - if everyone wanted to die. Glass explodes in fire, and metal could burn and then shoot out.
Karsyn herself threw in the stick, satisfied with the small crackle the hungry, burning fire made. Now, she had to liven things up here. Everyone else was drunk and having a grand old time - well she didn't come here to get drunk, just to get out. "Hey, wanna play a game?" She grinned, shrugging as if saying, "What harm could it do?" She nodded, thinking. "An easy one. The Uncomfortable game. Basically, you have to do something that you think will make the other uncomfortable. If it doesn't, you let them have their turn. Whoever wins gets whatever they want." She shrugged again, flicking hair out of her face. It was fun, and she was bored. It'd certainly be interesting. "So, you up for it?"

"Like I told you before. Fifty other girls here, some giving me death stares because you're chatting it up with me. I guess that's good," "Reaaally now.. Sure you're not just making it up?" He shot back at her, teasingly. So that either means one of two things. They think you should be talking to them, or I'm just really good looking. And I'm betting on the second." "I'll letcha think that so you don't throw a fit about your feelings getting hurt." He flashed a grin. That was actually pretty funny, other chicks staring down the two. Chance gave a quick glance around, wondering if an ex was the cause for such an act. He wouldn't be shocked if it was. He definitely had gone down the wrong road with a couple of girls. What she said next actually surprised him. "They're cute. They stuck together all night." He instantly began to shake his head. "No.. not cute. Not cute at all, trust me! You wouldn't want to be stuck with them for a minute." He was somewhat joking, somewhat serious. They would probably annoy the hell out of her.
Those green eyes shifted around, scanning along the ground or anywhere for something to grab. Anything to toss into that fire and at least get it to roar a little higher. It didn't look very phenemonaul tonight. "It's usually bigger than this, I swear." He mumbled, picking up random pieces of trash and lazily throwing it in. He really wasn't too stoaked about it. "If you throw me in..." Bing bing. Light bulb. He dropped whatever he was picking up next, grinned broadly, and looked right at her. "You're going in right with me." "PERFECT. That's what I'll use. A big bunch of Karsyn and Karsyn-hair! The fire will be HUGE!" Pushing his hand over her's, in order to knock out the offering she was trying to hand to him, he bolted up behind her and lifted her up. Right after she was explaining some sort of game mumbo-jumbo, and probably cutting her off. "Yeah, yeah, yeah! Sounds perfect!" He yelled over her voice, striding right toward the crackling fire. His muscular arms wrapped around her smaller frame, around her stomach, gripped so she couldn't wriggle her way out. Or at least not for a few more seconds. His feet were kicking sand everywhere, and he stepped closer and closer to the flames - trying to hold her as close as he could. "Uncomfortable now or what?! Or is it too hot?! 'Cause I'll throw you in the ocean, too!" He probably wasn't joking with that, either.

we touch, i feel a rush we clutch, it isn't much It was like he was ignoring everything she was saying. Just as she was explaining the game though, he had her... he was holding her so tight, and Karsyn couldn't wriggle away. Her breath was caught in her throat, and she blanked out on what he was saying. She was in a different place now, to two years ago. His hands were clutching her arms so tight, dragging her through grass...rocks...dirt. And when she started just dropping her weight on the floor, screaming her head off, he'd told her to shut up, to "please be quiet, we've only got a little more to go." When she hadn't obeyed, he'd simply picked her up, the way Chance had her now. But she couldn't see that - her mind was back in Mexico, and she had to get away. Suddenly her body started to convulse, pushing away from the strength of Chance's arms. "No! No! Please, get off of me! Someone, please!" The scream echoed around the bonfire, and people were probably staring - but Karsyn didn't care right now. She didn't... couldn't see them.
"Get off! Let me go, please! Let me go!" Tears flooded her eyes, and Karsyn kept trying to get out of his grip, her hands clawing at his grip. Finally, she let herself fall limp, pushing her weight down so she fell on the sandy floor, crawling away from him. The look on her face was of pure terror. The heat of the bonfire, though, alerted her, and she looked behind her to be "awakened." Karsyn remembered where she was, and she looked around, then back at Chance. Great, now she looked like a fucking moron. Pissed off, she stood and gave an exasperated sigh, wiping her hands and body of the sand that had accumulated when she'd pushed herself to the ground. Then, she looked up at Chance. "Why the fuck would you do that?" Her hands went up to shove him in his chest, hard. It wouldn't be enough to push down his muscular frame, but Karsyn was strong for her own small frame and it was enough to let him know she was absolutely pissed. "You can't just... you can't just go around doing that! I don't even know you!" She was yelling, and in all honesty she wished she wasn't, but she couldn't help it. She didn't want to attract anymore attention from what had already happened, but she was embarrassed and pissed off that this guy...Chance had been able to get her soft spot within the small half hour to hour long period they'd known each other.

& all those who look down on me
It was all fun and games until Karsyn freaked out of no where. "No! No! Please, get off of me! Someone, please!" For a split second, he thought she was joking. He felt stunned, and he felt himself freeze in surprise to her loud mouth yelling. "Get off! Let me go, please! Let me go!" "Kars-.. Karsyn!" Why the hell was she so damn hysterical? Did he accidently pull her bathing suit top off or something when she was wriggling for freedom? "What! WHAT?" His eyes were wide in confusion. He put her on the ground, or partially because she was trying to get away so fast, and let go. Raising his arms with his palms facing her, Chance backed up in a 'no harm here' notion. He just stared, dropping his arms. He had no idea what the hell to do, he had no idea what he even did. And he was usually aware of his jackass-moves. They were usually intentional, but this surely wasn't.
Holy shit, she looked horrified. His eyes glanced around at the people staring, and his eyes were still wide - blinking. Chance looked back at her, having taken note that she seemed less terrified than before and calming down. From that he stepped toward her, hand out to help her up, with that look of complete bewilderment still plastered all over his face. But, Karsyn was already back on her feet. And ready to attack, nails and all. "Why the fuck would you do that?" She shoved him on the chest, and he stepped back, brow furrowing in a 'what the fuck' expression. He jerked his hands up, and pushed her away from him - but not so she would fall over. Just to get this crazy chick off of him. "Do what?!" He shot back, a weirded out look on his face. "Pick you up?!" Jerky, frustrated hand movements went with his unamused words. "You can't just... you can't just go around doing that! I don't even know you!" "..-.. Holy shit! I was joking! Nothing to freak out about, you coulda just asked nicely!"
Chance looked back at all the people staring, even a few muttering some things that he would rather not hear right now. He didn't do shit! "What are you looking at?! This is none of your business!" More than anything, the onlookers thinking they knew what the fuck was up pissed him off. His eyes went back to Karsyn, who looked fuming. His lips were pulling at a pissed off smile, that read 'really?' He shook his head at her. "Had to go and make a show huh? Thanks Karsyn. H'okay well I'll leave you alone, Christ!" He turned and walked away from her. What the fuck just happened? He really wasn't being that ridiculous or going that far, was he?

we touch, i feel a rush we clutch, it isn't much He was screaming at her, trying to get her to stop, and she just couldn't hear him. Karsyn was off her ball right now, in a whole other world no one knew existed but her and her attacker. It was when she had come to her senses that he was offering her his hand, trying to hel[ her. Help her? after she had been made to look like a fool in front of all these kids that undoubtedly would now say she was "that crazy chick at that one bonfire" for the next couple of weeks. And it wasn't even her fault! Who else went around picking people up, threatening to throw them in a fire? She went to push him, and he actually pushed her back which was surprised her most of all. Yes, pick me up." She snorted. As if he didn't know what she was talking about. The nerve of this boy! "..-.. Holy shit! I was joking! Nothing to freak out about, you coulda just asked nicely!" Oh, now he'd really done it. That one statement sent Karsyn from a flaming bitch to a fired up rocket-bitch. This night had started off okay with this kid hitting on her, but he'd crossed the non-existent line of touch she had set up in her mind and now she had had a freak out.
"How do I ask nicely? 'Hey, Chance! I know you're about to throw me into a fire and what not, but could you put me down? Thank you so much!'" She was being an obnoxious jerk, and she knew it. The whole throwing her into a fire thing was her excuse as to why she was freaking out so bad. Karsyn wasn't just going to come out and explain she was all messed up because of some jerk a couple years ago. Then she'd really be crazy. The whole time she'd been faintly aware of the other party people looking on and trying to figure out what was the matter, and she turned in a demeaning way as Chance yelled at them. He was right at least about that. This didn't involve them and they were better off minding their own. Karsyn glared, then fixed the glaring stare onto Chance as he spoke to her again. He started speaking, and she'd been ready to interrupt him when he just walked away from her. Oh no, people didn't just walk away from her unless they knew they lost, and she knew for a fact that Chance had won this one if she let it go.
"A show? Seriously? How would you react if some guy you just met decided to pick you up and throw you in the fire?" She was fuming, and her mind was just throwing things at her, forcing words to come out that didn't even feel insulting, yet her tone was full of rage. "But I forgot. All guys are pompous assholes who think that because their men, they can do whatever the fuck they want and it'll be okay! So come on, mr. personality. Don't walk away. Be a man. Or are you not that, either?" Now Karsyn was just looking for a fight to justify his innocent way of having fun that she just didn't like, and it was wrong, but it was how Karsyn dealt and right now she didn't give a flying fuck. "It's not okay, Chance. And you of all people should be just a little more sensitive to emotions, yeah?" He didn't know what happened to her, how could he? But Karsyn still blamed him.

& all those who look down on me
Chance was already a good ten feet from her and the bitching had arose all over again. This situation actual felt familiar. "How do I ask nicely? 'Hey, Chance! I know you're about to throw me into a fire and what not, but could you put me down? Thank you so much!'" This lady was way over the top. Definitely not his flavor. He was obviously joking about throwing her in the fire. Well, maybe now, that might be an good solution to shut her trap. Maybe he had a talent in bringing out the worse in people. God, if anything, he just wanted the fuming chick to shut up and walk away. But, of course, she came strutting right after him. Looking for some clarification, revenge, an outlet, whatever the fuck it was, he wasn't interested. He didn't want it. He was literally ignoring her, and walking away. "A show? Seriously? How would you react if some guy you just met decided to pick you up and throw you in the fire?" Ah, no wonder that it was familiar. Iris, an ex, used to walk around the house after him, bitching wherever he walked - no matter how much he tried to avoid her. It was like those classic clouds that hung over your head and wouldn't go the fuck away.
He stopped walking, and turned to face the outraged woman. She obviously wasn't giving up anytime soon. "But I forgot. All guys are pompous assholes who think that because their men, they can do whatever the fuck they want and it'll be okay! So come on, mr. personality. Don't walk away. Be a man. Or are you not that, either?" His mouth opened, about to say something, but then shut. He just stared. "What the fuck are you even saying?! What does that have to do with anything? Chill out!" Where did that even come from? This lady needed to keep her grudges to herself. He wasn't a fucking therapist. The fact she was this mad over a simple joke was absolutely ridiculous. "Don't get pissed at me for embarrassing yourself! I was JOKING around with you. YOU decided to scream and act like you were getting fucking murdered." His brow was furrowed, expression frustrated and irritated as hell. He rubbed his face as she began to rant all over again.. "It's not okay, Chance. And you of all people should be just a little more sensitive to emotions, yeah?" What was with all the low blows? Why the fuck was she exploding at him? He wasn't going to debate this anymore. He took a deep breath, and then stared her down - hand jerking away from his forehead with his sharp words. "Why don't you just fuck off?" A sarcastic smile grew on his face with that offer, obviously pissed.

we touch, i feel a rush we clutch, it isn't much Chance just kept walking away, which was pissing Karsyn even more off, enough for her to actually think about walking away and letting this guy go off to flirt his way into picking another girl up and throwing her into fires. Guys were so disgusting. Honestly, she just wanted to deck every man she saw right now in the face. They were awful, and the fact that this Chance guy was so cool because he freaked her out made her want to pull her hair out. She was nagging behind him, and she didn't care anymore. Karsyn had crossed embarrassment and entered a whole new zone... Fuck off? Fuck off?
Karsyn paused right in her tracks. Her mouth was frozen in a small o shaped form, her eyes staring at him as if she were intrigued. He was telling her to fuck off? Oh boy. The small smirk that formed afterward practically wanted to make her twitch, but she restrained herself. She was going to hurt him. Hurt him however she could - punch him? She threw a pretty good right hook, but she doubted that would phase him. Go for the family jewels? No one deserved that. Karsyn walked right up to him, fists clenched. So how exactly did you ruin the ego of an over excited, jerk off like the one bestowed before her? All Karsyn had was about seven seconds as she closed the gap between them to think of something, and nothing was coming up. I mean, how else was someone supposed to act when they'd just been told to fuck off? There were varied reactions, but she needed the one that would evoke the most emotion out of him.
"I was kidnapped a few years back. I don't like to be surprised." It was quiet, meant for his ears. But the next thing surprised even herself. "It's yours, Chance!" She said loudly, a sweet smile plastering itself on her face. She giggled, playing the part. "You can't throw your new pregnant girlfriend in fire. It's bad for your son, silly!" She smirked, shoving him as to what was supposed to look playful, but ended up being a little harder than intended. "Of course, I forgive you!" She nodded, leaning up to kiss him. Oh, was this going to be fun.
