CLOWNS TO THE LEFT OF ME, JOKERS TO THE RIGHT, HERE I AM ( STUCK IN THE MIDDLE WITH YOU )Mika's day had gone much better than she had ever expected it to. It started off with trying to avoid the worst roommate on the planet and led to meeting a wonderful ex-carney name Emi, and NOW she was on her way for the very first time to the circus. It just goes to show that you never know what is going to happen to you during the course of the day. Things could change so quickly, you would never even see it coming. Mika sure as hell didn't see this coming, that was for sure. But none the less it was a pleasant surprise. At this point Mika couldn't think of anyone else she would want to experience this with. Well, maybe one other but person but she doubted the circus was a place Caine wanted to go.
Though she never actually attended the Circus before Mika knew how to get there. She had walked around these streets so many times that she felt like she knew Outlier like the back of her hand. Even though she's been gone for such a long time she found that nothing had changed since she left, which she liked personally. Mika couldn't count how many times she passed by that Circus to get to wherever it was she was going, She remembered specifically actually meeting a drug dealer around here somewhere in the summer. It seemed like a lot of people liked to get fucked up and go watch the show. Mika was always somewhat tempted but never actually worked up the nerve to do it. She thought it was stupid honestly, who knows what your mental state could fall too, being in public would only make it worse. Surprisingly for her, at this point Mika would be ready to light up another joint, even more so since these two fine young ladies were headed on another adventure, but she had no urge or desire. She almost completely forgot about the cigarette pack filled with joints that resided in her purse. She was having fun, something she hasn't actually done in a while.
It took them about 15 minutes to walk to the Circus, Mika bringing up their new self proclaimed titles of Robin an Little John. When they actually reached the Circus Mika stood in front of the entrance hesitantly before actually entering. For all the times she thought about entering the Circus this was the first time she actually did it. It was a little intimidating at first, for someone who has never actually been to one. Even more so because Mika was much older then a lot of people when they go for their first time. So all this was kind of strange to her, but she none the less entered in one swift motion stopping shortly after the main entrance, trotting off to the side to avoid blocking incoming traffic. She turned around, bright blues glanced around at all the tents as she tried to come to a decision. Mika unsure of what to do first, where to go first, what there was to do she looked to Emi helplessly, her lips curling up into a broad smile as she pleaded "Heeeeeelp! I don't know how these bloody things work," she said, a small laugh coming after, Mika feeling kind of stupid for asking. The young Englishwoman brushed it off quickly, speaking up again in her own defense. "There's so much here - it's overwhelming," confessed sheepishly.

You won't believe your eyes. Won't even recognise The wonderment that lies behind the shimmer and the lights - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Emi had had something near the best day of her life that day. She had gone for a walk and had felt alone and left out and then all of a sudden, she had met this girl, Mika, who she had taken a liking to immediately. Mika had not judged the redheaded circus-freak like many other kids – no, she had accepted the girl within few minutes and the conversation between them had been good. They did not know terribly much about one another yet, but without any prejudice they had been talking as if they had known each other for a long time; not just for a very short amount of time. Barely one afternoon. But Mika was a nice girl and Emi sure did like her a lot. She was nice, open and, even though she did drugs, a lovely personality. She was the kind of person someone like Emi would want to have as a friend.
Emi smiled as the sight of the circus showed itself and woke that very familiar feeling of being home in her. She had been raised in a place like this with the big tents and the trailers with colorful painting on the sides. She had grown up with the showhorses grassing right next to it all without a care at all. She had grown up with clowns in big shoes and a clown's make up. She had grown up with acrobats and fire breathers. She had grown up with line dancers and magicians. She had grown up with little kids in the manege with their parents sitting next to them, all with wondrous eyes as she did her routines in the air. She would twirl around up there, trusting the ropes and trusting her own ability and every time she got down on the ground and bowed the applause told her that she had done well. And just that feeling was close to addictive. All in all, Emi's upbringing had been the most happy and safe one of the kind. It was like one big family of 30 people – all taking care of one another. They would all hug and kiss each other and spend long nights around a fire having a good time. The couples within the circus understood how to have a good healthy relationship and how you are supposed to live to get the best out of it. Her parents had been a great example of that. The simple life was the best one! Emi hoped to be able to get that kind of relationship herself one day, if a guy would ever think of her as more than a friend. Sadly, most guys didn't, because she was borderline childish and too hyper and bubbly for them to handle. And the guy she liked had too many girls for her to dare doing anything. So until later, she'd had to just live with the single life and in a way that was probably a good idea. It was stupid to get into a relationship just because you feel like it. Instead it was better to wait it out and hope that everything turned out for the better.
Now they stood in front of the circus area and Emi noticed herself still smiling widely as some idiot. She glanced around the huge area while finally getting a normal expression in her face once again. In the end, her gaze was turned in Mika's direction. The British girl looked kind of spooked and confused about all Emi's familiar surroundings, so Emi pushed her gently forward with a teasing glimpse in her big brown eyes as she watched her. ”Don't get lost” Emi teased her and winked with one eye. ”Yeah.. It's a fairly big circus. But I promise you! You'll learn to find your way in no time.” she stated with a firm nod and smiled to Mika again, as she moved in the direction of the ticket boot. ”Well, first we need to get some tickets” she said and found her wallet so she could pay for a pair of good tickets. ”I know Bob, so maybe we'll be allowed to go backstage afterwards” Emi tempted and wiggled her eyebrows slightly for a few times. She paid for two tickets – one for herself and one for Mika – and then she stretched out her hand to Mika to give her the one ticket. ”Ready to go see something awesome?” the red head asked and a cheerful glimpse was to find shining from her beautiful big eyes. She tilted her head a little to the side and arched one eyebrow. Then her entire face lit up with joy. ”We need popcorn and coke!!” she said with a nod and laughed ”And candyfloss!” she added and started pulling Mika with her towards the little stands selling this and that.

CLOWNS TO THE LEFT OF ME, JOKERS TO THE RIGHT, HERE I AM ( STUCK IN THE MIDDLE WITH YOU )This experience was very overwhelming. Even with an expect circus-goer at her side, Mika was still finding it difficult to process all she was seeing. the circus was filled mostly with little kids and their parents, the adults not looking as thrilled as the children were to be here. It kind of gave Mika the wrong impression, her thoughts drifting off into thinking that this was a show for little kids. But then she remembered what Emi did in the forest before the two actually came to the circus which changed her mind immediately. When Emi spoke she gave a bashful look, hoping it wasn't that obvious that she had no idea what she was doing with herself. She knew Emi was only teasing but she still grew slightly self conscious. She knew in part it had to do with the weed which was finally wearing off, but it partially had to do with her hatred of large crows. She hated large crowds. Her hands found themselves intertwined in front of her chest as she looked around, fidgeting at the large crowd around them. She was slightly nervous, but she knew once they got inside she would be fine. She felt reassured when Emi promise she would be a circus pro in no time, and nodded in acknowledgment.
When she mentioned tickets Mika nodded. "I should have guessed that ..." she admitted, knowing that any show required some kind of ticket. Not to mention there was a large both with an even larger sign above it that read 'tickets.' Mika reached into her purse while Emi went to fetch the tickets for the two, grabbing her wallet and pulling out the money she needed to give Emi for her ticket. She didn't want her to have to pay for it, that wouldn't sit right with Mika. So she pulled out exact change - luckily for her she always carried an assortment of bills with her - and handed it to the red head when she came back with the tickets. "Thank you love!" she said happily, reading the front of the ticket to see what it said. It wasn't like the tickets that she gets for going to concerts, these ones were different. Mika already made a note to herself that she was going to save this ticket, as it was a memory for her. Mika has this little shoebox that she puts things in that she doesn't want to forget. Items that bring out memories of a good day. This ticket was definitely going in there.
When Emi mentioned going backstage afterward Mika practically squealed like a little girl. She bounced slightly before speaking, "Really?! Oh that would be wonderful!" she said happily, hoping that this Bob character was going to let them partake in such activities. It would make this day even more memorable. Checking the time on the ticket before checking the time on her cellphone, Mika noted that it was getting close to the show time. They had gotten there just in time luckily - Mika would have hated if they got all the way there and the circus wasn't running anymore shows for today. Ready to enter the tent Mika turned in the direction of the entrance before being stopped by Emi again. She blinked. "There are refreshments here? STELLAR," Mika responded, cotton mouth and munchies plaguing her system. She let Emi led the way, the two girls trotting their way over to the refreshment stand. "What's Candyfloss?" Mika asked, giving Emi a confused looked while they walked to the stand. She wasn't sure if it was just an American candy or if she was truly deprived. Mika stopped about a yard in front of the establishment, taking in what it had to offer before making her decision on what to get. "You're suggestion sounds perfect .. One Popcorn and two cokes please sir!" she said to the man behind the counter, he looking very circus like. He was kind of dressed like a carny, but one of those stereotypical carneys that don't actually perform the show, rather work the maintenance. "Oh, and Candyfloss!" Mika added, the man giving her a small smile before adding up the total. When the food was being prepared Mika paid the man promptly, taking sips of her coke while they waited for the popcorn to be done. "Ok! So we got our tickets, you talked to this Bob fellow and we have popcorn and coke and candyfloss. Now what?" she asked curiously, eyes drifting off to the front of the tent. She had a feeling it was show time!
