Gretchen walked into the party, feeling a tad out of place. She hadn't dressed up... well, at least for halloween, in a very long time. She liked it though! It was very fun. And she already had a lot of things to pick from, so it wasn't even that difficult to come up with an idea. She was dressed as a kitty cat, black leotard, black sequined shorts and cat ears. High heels and hand bag she was out the door. She didn't know who was going to be here, but she had heard a few rumours.

Did this Charlotte chick not have any air conditioning in her house? Damn, it was that or the machine itself just sucked. He was sick of the giant Frank mask, sick of lugging around the monstrous grin of a creep it made him look like. Nah, not even that. He didn't mind looking scary as hell, in fact.. the mask kept people from recognizing him that he didn't exact want to. Worked out until he started breaking into a sweat. With so many bodies grinding against each other, blaring music, loud laughter, and so many people, he figured it didn't matter much. Off with the mask. He wiped his forehead with his foream, taking a deep breath and shaking his head. Hey, now he could get some free drinks.

Oh gosh she had only been in here for all of ten minutes and was completely sweating. She clickclacked over to the goal: the drinks. And it seemed she arrived there just in time to be first in line to stand right up front, and grab herself a glass of...something or another. It smelled fruity and strong, so she knew she wouldn't mind after a while. But as she took a sip she noticed a familiar face. Trey. Here? Oh gosh. Did she say anything? At first she didn't, but then she caught his eye and said, "hey" tucking a piece of hair behind her hair and tugging at her leotard a little bit. How weird. She felt a little.. revealing?

Trey moved toward the kitchen, sitting down at one of those party, bar like, 'booth', spinny chairs. He spun slightly in it, tapping the table, waiting for the bartender to hit him up with another drink. He grabbed it, taking a sip of it, and put it back down. This damn rabbit mask was heavy. "Hey." That actually kind of caught him off guard. He jumped a bit, eyes wide, and stared at Gretchen. They probably would have gone wide anyway by the sight of her. All together he instantly remembered what they were doing. How uncomfortable in a place like this. This was the las thing he wanted to deal with here, the one night he could just let go and party with some friends and not feel like shit. Maybe feel like he had a reason to exist. He took a moment before answering. "..Hey.." He couldn't help but glance over her costume, not to be a pervert, but simply because it was so much to take in and he wasn't sure what to do, where to place his eyes. "Uh.." He looked ahead, looking around. Unsure. "Sup?" Trying to play it off smoothly, like this wasn't out of the ordinary.

Gretchen looked away from him. His costume... she didn't understand it. But it was a little silly. Creepy... She didn't know. He finally replied and Gretchen smiled. And then he was looking at her, up and down before he looked away. It didn't phase or bother her one bit. Sup? Well, she was standing her, not wanting to intrude on his party but not wanting to leave. It just felt wrong to ignore him. Like nothing had happened. So she just tried to keep cool. She said, "Nothing. First halloween party." She sat down next to him, hoping he wouldn't mind, but knowing he probably would. If he got all angry about it she'd just leave. She understood, sort of. Now, Gretchen pondered what to say as she finished her drink. "What about you? How have you been?"

"Nothing. First halloween party." Trey himself had halloween parties in the past, but of course, they were nothing like this one. Those were simple get togethers between his mother and some of her friends, him with a couple of kids. He barely remembered trick or treating as a kid. He knew he had, but he also knew his Mom didn't ever really want to deal with the ache of walking him around just to get him a few pieces of candy. He recalled one year her just buying him an entire bag to keep him quiet, and another year where she wrote 'NOT HOME' and hung it on the door to keep kids out. "Ah." His head nodded and he took a sip of his drink. "What about you? How have you been?" "Uh.. Shitty, but hey, it's gonna be a good night. Free drinks for hours to come, y'know?" His face almost looked smug for a moment. "How 'bout you yourself?" Now the spotlights were on her. Was it weird for them to be talking? Hell, maybe not.. she was the one who initiated it, so he knew he wasn't exactly in the wrong with that.
outfit, FRANK. notes, sorry that took a bit!

"Uh.. Shitty, but hey, it's gonna be a good night. Free drinks for hours to come, y'know?" Gee, he had such a great life. She could hardly stand it. She just took another sip. "Yup," she replied simply, never being one for words. "How 'bout you yourself?" Oh gosh he was asking her a question? Why couldn't she have a friend who liked to just jabber and gab and talk about themselves for hours on end! Gretchen would not mind that at all. But she had to talk to him, and truly she did not mind it, but it was a little odd, rather difficult. "Just trying to get by," didn't that sound stupid? But when you had to say it, maybe it wasn't so ridiculous and typical sounding, "Not really sure where to go at this point, but things are looking up. Hasn't been too..." she didn't have the word to describe it, "Busy? I dunno." She looked around, then took another gulp of her drink, well this was working out well. "Nice costume, by the way." She smiled.
